The real downhill started when JCPenney, Sears, and other good stores starting to close their doors when online shopping is new to the people of Battle Creek since the internet is going to be replacing public communication. When I went in the mall, I only cared about the skate park and Barnes And Noble and that's it, I never feel like coming back. Most of the employees feel like they never got human contact while being stuck in the past from the outside world and even the modern-day internet world we lived in now. Horrocks, Battleground Skate House, and other stores will soon leave to find better available leases in the mall and it will result to being a place with ZERO businesses and becomes the next Orchards Mall. I say that the best bet is to demolish the mall now to make room for a mixed use development project. Seriously folks, just go online shopping as a second option, it's better than going through malls that are dead, depressing, and isolated to the rest of Battle Creek and the world. For every employee and business owner who wants to see human contact, please relocate your business to new areas of Battle Creek and let the mall disappear so we'll move on in the future.

We ended up looking around a bit and found 3 of what he was looking for! Overall this Target is clean and well organized but it would be nice if one product didn't have 3 different locations. There weren't many people in the store while we were, but even then all covid precautions were taken. This Target is like twice as big as the one that used to be local to me. If you are looking for a good place to grab a few essentials or even a few knick knacks, this is a decent place to stop.

Kalamazoo's may have a broken window out front that won't get repaired for days and days. Battle Creek repairs it. Kalamazoo's just feels dingy and dirty. Battle Creek's is brightly lit and clean. For example: We bought some Helados frozen fruit bars once in Kalamazoo. We got them home - and we travel with an insulated cooler in our cars to keep the cold things we buy cold - and when we opened the package up we discovered they were no longer in the traditional fruit bar shapes. We figured the packages had sat in the store's aisle awaiting to be shelved in the freezers, had started to melt, and then was shelved and the contents refroze. We took the bars back to the Kalamazoo store and the staff was cool about the return. And then two months later it happened AGAIN. So now we buy the Helados bars in Battle Creek and carry them home in our iced cooler.
