Not even the grand opening yet and on first impression walking this places aisles I have to say…read more.. VERY impressive. An IMMENCE Dog toy / food , supply area and Cat section A cute kids toy section Did see something confusing, a chicken leash and harness set... Who would put a harness on a chicken , and how is this accomplished safely, ROFL ? Great prices Farm supplies GALORE They even have a beautiful fully stocked and equiped SELF service dog washing room. The pet sections for fish, birds, furry friends like mice and such , reptiles and others are simply beautiful and in their own rooms Live plants are georgous and well cared for And the extras like fun signs, garden supplies, canning supplies, bird seed and feeders, pickles and ornaments is off the hook. They even have a cottage built in store for seminars and such. Big compliment on employee attentiveness, professionism and friendliness too. Look out Batavia pet stores, cause this place will pose some SERIOUS competition.

Someone said they would get back to me. They definitely got back to me. At first the conversation was going well and then all of sudden the corporate manager that deals with the reptiles of country max decided to pretty much say we do not know how to take care of our lizard. Said how it couldn't be the crickets. Well she definitely heard the change in my voice. She rudely began to say how I barely know you so I can't excuse of anything. I said how I don't appreciate you speaking to me that way and I would like more than just a refund of crickets. She said I guess I can work something out. Maybe half off a new lizard but this isn't the time to buy a lizard. I said at this point with how you're treating me I would appreciate just a full refund of everything so I can take my business else ware. At this point she wants nothing to do with conversation anymore and tells me best wishes. at this point I call back corporate and ask for the bigger boss. Which I have not heard from yet. needless to say COUNTRYMAX IS NOT THE PLACE FOR GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CARE!

I had an extremely disturbing experience with Kilbury's Feed Service in Arkport, NY. They performed…read morework on a fireplace insert/heater at one of my properties, and while the occupants were sitting in the living room, the unit exploded with enough force to send glass shards into the wall. This was not a minor issue -- it was a dangerous, life-threatening failure directly tied to the unit they serviced. We were notified of the incident on Monday and I contacted the company that same day and was told we would hear back. By Tuesday morning, there had been no follow-up, so we physically went to the business to speak with the owner. The response was dismissive. We were told he hadn't spoken with his business partner yet and that "they had trucks and pallets to unload" -- apparently a heater exploding in an occupied home is not a top priority. We even offered to have them come out and inspect the heater themselves, and they declined and wanted nothing to do with it. When we calmly asked that they contact their insurance company to begin the claims process, we were told it "wasn't their problem" and were hung up on. You would think hiring a licensed contractor would prevent something like this, but clearly that was not the case. Instead of urgency, accountability, or concern for safety, we were met with excuses and disregard. I will be pursuing this matter further. If this is how they handle a life-threatening failure directly tied to their own work, that should be a serious red flag for anyone else considering utilizing their services.

We ended up with some super cute galvanized steel bucket type things that are gonna hold our annuals really nicely! We will have to drill some holes for drainage, but otherwise they are adorable. They also have a top soil sale all day err day, 5 bags for 10 bucks. Forty pound bags! That's a darn good bargain! This is the only country max location on this side of Rochester, and is more focused on pets than anything else. I like this fact! Super cute toys and accessories for your pets, dogs especially. Be sure to give the resident dog a hello, his name is Jack :)

We got lucky and the employee I spoke to on the phone said someone else had special ordered 2 bags of exactly what we needed, but never picked it up! We were able to purchase both bags instead of having to wait 1-2 weeks to receive a bag from ordering! If you don't know, pig feed can be hard to find, especially the brand we were looking for, for mini/potbellied pigs! We looked around while there. It's a pretty decent size store and offers so many items! We purchased a super cute tie for our super dapper Pomeranian Mix and a kong wobbler (treat dispenser) for our mini pigs. Most of the items we looked at were pretty decently priced compared to Petco and Petsmart! They also sell fudge, hot sauce and other various food items lol. The employees were very nice and accommodating on the phone and in store! If you're in the area, check this place out!

I get my 50 pound bags of bird food here. Yes, my birds must be hungry! They have plenty of outdoor decor. planting pots, and other gardening supplies. There's also a decent clothes section. They also sell tools, have a clothing and shoe department where they sell things like jean's, work clothes, work boots, etc. They carry animal food & supplies for cats, dogs, birds, horses, poultry and a variety of livestock. At certain times of the year they fence off the center of the store and fill it with baby chicks. The rest of the store is full of farm supplies, garden & yard supplies and cleaning supplies. They also sell small, large and extra large yard and farm equipment. Today's visit was to pickup a 50 pound bag of bird seed because birds and squirrels are oblivious to the meaning of COVID-19 Quarantine. All they know is they need to eat, eat, eat. I ordered and paid online, called when I got there, they brought it out and loaded into the back of my car. Really simple process. Looking forward to the day when I can wander the store and buy things I never knew I wanted.
