A baby parakeet was dead, and there were two other birds in there with it, surely at risk of becoming ill themselves. We had to inform an employee that they had a dead bird in one of their cages. They didn't seem upset or concerned, merely inconvenienced. They removed the bird, but it was very upsetting to see that they had let a baby parakeet die and go unnoticed. There were also the typical pet store issues-cages were too small, fish were in those horrifically tiny bowls, and the animals obviously didn't seem well cared for. I'm just beyond disgusted that a young bird that should be able to live up to 15 years with proper care was dead before even getting a home. It broke my heart. This place is disgusting.

Their store is well stocked, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Their dog wash is first come, first served, no reservations, so make sure to give them a call so you won't have to wait. It's a convenient location next to Hannafords, so the wife kept busy while I did the dirty deed. There's even a Dunkin Donuts across the street if someone else needs to keep occupied.
