One is very old and not able to be easily worked with due to her skittish nature ( Honey Bun ). The staff here did an awesome AWESOME job with both dogs and I was able to watch which helped me overcome my anxiety about having Honey Bun groomed . Im making these folks our permanent local grooming choice . You should too !!

We go there for grooming and boarding and they are awesome! Megan does a FANTASTIC job with the kennels and you know she and her staff really care about the dogs. They make you feel like you are their only client! And Tweakie the groomer does an awesome job, she is booked up for months in advance, so what does that tell you? But most of all is everyone's upbeat, postive, caring attitude! You just can't find that anymore. I love these guys and so do my dogs!

He was a rescue puppy from a foster home in Georgia, and we had never met him before picking him up at the transport drop off. His foster mom had told us that he was a bit of an Alpha and he was very affectionate. Well, once we got him we learned he was more than a bit of an Alpha, that he hadn't been properly socialized with other dogs, he was dominant, and high energy. Elizabeth determined this during his assessment but said she would take him. On day two Elizabeth confirmed suspicions that my husband and I had that Lido was not the Lab mix that the rescue told us we were getting, that he was indeed a Pit Bull. I don't have anything against Pit Bulls, but the news did have an effect on how I felt about the whole situation. After five days of going to Elizabeth's, Lido was a totally changed pup. By using exercise, discipline, and appropriate affection, Lido was listening, he was calm, and sleeping through the night without any accidents. Elizabeth was very informative, caring, and really teaching us how to raise our puppy. It's clear that she's passionate about her work, and she does it very well. Sadly, Lido was sent back to Georgia after having him for two weeks. Though he was behaving, I had a sense of unease around him and I knew eventually that would transfer to him and possibly make him aggressive towards me. I didn't think waiting to see if that feeling would go away would be good for either one of us, so my husband and I made the really hard decision to send him back to the rescue. Elizabeth was wonderfully understanding when I told her, and really helped in making me see there was nothing wrong with me, that he just wasn't the puppy for us. We'll get another puppy someday, but we'll take our time and research breeds that would work for us, and make sure to meet the puppy before bringing him/her home. I was so impressed with what spending two weeks in Elizabeth's care did for Lido that we'll definitely return when we get another puppy.

My Golden Doodle Lucy started at Your Dog's Inn in February 2015. She was 6 1/2 months old, cute as…read morea button, but bouncing off the walls and off anyone in her reach. Originally she was only going to go 3 days per week, but the owner and Pack leader Elizabeth quickly observed that Lucy might be more suited for the puppy program which would be 5 days per week. I can't thank Elizabeth enough for allowing Lucy to be part of her puppy program, after only 2 1/2 months, the difference is amazing. I have a wonderful dog I enjoy spending time with and all of my time is not spent having to discipline her or correct her over and over. She comes home tired, she greets visitors at the door like a lady and her habit of stealing everything that was not nailed down has almost completely stopped. Elizabeth is upfront & honest right from the beginning when she meets you for the first time and observes your dog. She tells it like it is and I find that very refreshing as it helps to alleviate any misunderstandings concerning her expectations and what she can offer her clients from her program. Your Dog's Inn is a clean, safe, interactive place where your dog can learn how to interact with other dogs (big and small) in a positive way. Elizabeth often videos and posts the antics of her "pack" which allows us to see and enjoy their progress on a regular basis. Thank you Elizabeth for not only working with Lucy to be a better companion, but for working with Rick and me to educate and model what it takes to be a better "Pack Leader".

Don even made a house call when my dear dog Teddy was dying and could no longer walk. Don and his tech came to help Teddy, lying in the grass under the shade of his favorite tree, and helped him ends his suffering. They trust you as a patient, listen to you situation, and even allow you in the back surgical area to comfort your pet during imaging or before surgery. Great people.

I looked for the nearest vet and was able to get an 'emergency' appointment with Dr. Sophie Borodic. She is so kind and compassionate and knowledgeable. I actually like her better than my vet at home . I am sitting in the parking lot right now from a second visit for Abby's itchy scratchies - fleas, wouldn't you know it! In any case, I would highly recommend this practice and Dr. Borodic. Everyone I have spoken to on the phone has been very nice, also.

They canceled my dog's neutering because my sister made the appointment for my dog. He was…read morescheduled to be neutered in two days but because they refused to treat my sister's dog a couple of years ago because they said she doesn't get all of her medical care there and my sister's response was "you don't care about your patients" , they canceled MY dog's appointment. Apparently, hurt feelings from two years ago and a grudge ARE more important than the patients.

In calling area vets, some suggested she was so old for her breed, I should spare her from pain & put her down. To know me is to know my love for Honey! When I called River Road, I spoke to Vet Tech Emily, she made me so aware that God's Plan for our life is perfect (Jeremiah 29:11) And my Sweet Honey was part of that plan and River Road was Just where God wanted us to be. Emily was kind and knowledgeable about so many of the things I was worried about, and she urged me to let her continue resting & bring her to the office as soon as I was able. Honey saw Dr. Karen Murphy this past week, we were able to thank Vet Tech Emily, & We were happy that Vet Tech Annie was there to cut & smooth Honeys nails. All thestaff are kind and very concerned about the animals we have welcomed into our families. 5 *s for River Road Veterinary Hospital!! So thankful God picked "YOU" to take care of My Sweet Honey!!
