Tracks is a great place and they have a burger for everyone! Burger combos you never thought of and turn out tasting as great as they sounded. They also offer wraps, salads, etc. We only tried the burgers, can't wait to go back and try other ones! Great friendly service too! Our waiter was very patient and checked back without forgetting us, since it took us so long to choose our burgers. All of them actually were nice, attentive, and decent. They are so fun to be with. Tracks has fantastic food & drink specials. The staff is nice but does take a bit to come back to the table; this of course could be because they are always very busy. The outdoor seating area is also key - not many good places to sit outside. read more

We had Fish Fry yesterday at The Tracks in Cary. We hadn't been there in about six months. We brought another couple so that they could experience "the Best Fish Fry in McHenry County". We were VERY SURPRISED to see that they have eliminated the REAL potato pancakes with this meal. They instead served a tator tot-looking substitute that was FAR inferior to the real thing! Ugh! How much more expensive can POTATOES be these days!? We all know that food prices have increased, much to our dismay. But switching out one of the main features of the fish fry for a tator tot was extremely disappointing! Bring back the real thing! read more

One of our favorite places to eat! The bar seating is cozy and in the summers it's so nice with the windows open. The burgers are amazing, but the liver and onion sandwich is my absolute favorite along with their ahi tuna tacos and the southwest chicken salad. Two of us came here on Sunday 01/24/21 after hiking at the Hollows because another place was not yet open for lunch. This was 1 week before our tyrant governor bestowed permission for Illinois restaurants to 'legally' dine indoors. So we walk into a typical looking bar and had a seat. We sat right next to another member of our hiking group and her friend who hadn't even been on the hike, total coincidence! The 4 of us start talking, laughing, I order a bloody mary not knowing what "loaded" meant. Music playing, Cheryl Crow, 'All I want to do is have some fun'. Waitress brings out a beer that came with the bloody mary. Song playing lyrics "I like a good beer buzz early in the morning ...". Thinking its almost like this was staged lol! I ordered fish tacos for my meal. Then the waitress brings out this enormous thing and sets it before me. It was a bloody mary but attached to it was a hamburger, hard boiled egg, shrimp, cheese, celery, olive and surely I forgot something. I gasped when it arrived. I've only had bloody mary with olive. But there it was, total price $11.00. I couldn't believe how cheap it was! When I ordered it I did not check the price ahead of time. The fish tacos were excellent, service good. Not sure if this place qualifies as dive bar byt if I lived closer I would be a regular here. read more

Ok, if you are looking for a very tasty, delicious, juicy, kick-ass burger, look no further than Tracks in Cary. I had read previous reviews and saw that they were quite excellent. I randomly took my hubby, 2 sons and daughter to this place. Ok, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The wait staff are attentive and upbeat. It is casual but clean cut. The burgers are most excellent. Seriously, our family goes back on a regular basis. There is nothing negative to report. If you haven't tried this burger joint, try it, you will thank me later. read more

Do not be fooled by the menu online - it is not their actual menu! They used to allow you to sub chicken for beef on burgers, but not any more. Why? No idea. They used to have homemade chips as a side, and they were actually really good, but nope, off the menu as well. Been to Tracks before but this time, it was not good. Seated at 6 pm - didn't receive our food until almost 7 pm. I ordered the salad with the burger on top and specifically asked for my burger well done. After waiting almost an hour, the burger was rare. Sent it back - received another salad 20 minutes later - had brown and wilted lettuce. Asked to see the manager - never came to our table. On our way out - stopped to speak with the manager. His response to our frustrations - what can you expect when everyone comes at the same time? No apology. Nothing. I'll tell you what I expect - timely service (not almost an hour to get the food), get our order correct and a responsive manager/owner. Something is amiss with my beloved Tracks in Cary. The menu has changed...shrunk. No more regular fries or chips, just waffle fries that seem pressed from a slurry rather than cut from a potato.
