Salmon chopped salad - A salmon chopped salad featuring a grilled salmon fillet on a bed of chopped lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and green olives. A small cup of creamy dressing is included. The salad is presented in a black plastic takeout container, suitable for dine-in or takeout orders.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Christmas! Very festive. We loved the train car you can sit in. We were just picking up but would love to have you eaten in. The hostess was very sweet and the wait was short. We all loved what we ordered. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. We will go back for sure!

So we went on st Patrick day. This place is so cute all the fun decorations. They had a guy playing music and a dance floor. We did have reservations. The food fantastic service was great. We had the Ruben egg roll, salad, onion soup, cream chicken soup , burger, corned beef , mahi mahi, chicken piccata , a strawberry shortcake and the chocolate tower. And leftover the next day was delicious. All of us enjoyed everything we had. Always like going here.

The Ice House Mall is absolutely amazing. Chessie's anchors the west side of the mall and Sundial Brewing and Blending anchors the other end of the mall. The chocolate mousse tower is amazing find. It is beautifully decorated, with a dark & white chocolate exterior and decadent mousse filling the interior of the chocolate shell. Miriam was so kind to help me with the menu. It did not disappoint. Thank you!!

Inside the dining car - The image shows the interior of a vintage train car restaurant decorated with holiday greenery and string lights along the ceiling. There are multiple tables with white tablecloths, set with utensils and menus, and diners seated and dining. The car has windows along one side and a row of mirrors or windows along the opposite wall. A server is visible in the background attending to guests.

When we happen to be around Barrington at mealtime, Chessie's has been our go-to. I'm a railfan and I particularly enjoy dining in their railroad car, which long ago operated on what is today the Metra Electric. Most recently, we had lunch here with a group and I experienced their banquet service for the first time. The brusque and scowling servers performed as though they would much rather be someplace else. They strived to keep service at the barest minimum. I had to request a glass of water 3 times. Refill the bread basket? This also took 3 requests. A decent house salad was served first. My entrée (one of three pre-ordered choices) was London broil. Diners should have been asked their preference for doneness - all portions were served well-done. Now, I can understand diners disliking slabs of red meat that all but say, "Moo!" but no, no, no, London broil should NEVER be cooked past medium-rare! Only the mushroom gravy made this dried-out gnaw palatable. The accompanying garlic mashed potatoes were actually the best thing on the plate.

Train car during Christmas - A rectangular dining table covered with a white tablecloth is set with four folded gray napkins and a reserved sign. The table is surrounded by six upholstered chairs with wooden frames. Behind the table, large windows reveal a nighttime view outside. The interior is decorated with holiday ornaments, including a wreath and tinsel, and colorful string lights adorn the wooden wall above the windows, creating a festive atmosphere.

It's an extra nice touch to make you feel like you're part of their family. Erica our server was a delight! We could tell she was very experienced and comfortable answering questions on the menu. On this visit we decided to try something new. My husband had the Arugula Caesar salad which was presented shaken at the table (see video) followed by the special braised pork chop with bousin mashed potato's and green beans. The pork chop was thick and perfectly cooked and juicy. I had the French onion soup followed by the Deconstructed Lobster Pot pie. The pie was filled with the most delicious sauce, baby carrots, peas, onions and luscious chucks of Lobster dotted with puff pastry shells for crunch on top. We didn't have room for deserted but Erica made sure we had a delightful dollop of fudge mousse with whipped cream and berries so he could make a wish. We decided to take home a serving of sticky toffee pudding / and when we got home we realized they even included the ice cream in a separate container. Always above and beyond! Thanks for another great celebration!

She was friendly and great at recommending dishes. The busboy (we didn't catch his name) was positive and attentive. The staff really make the spot wonderful. It's modern inside, dark paint, and updated decor. However it feels friendly with the trendy atmosphere. The way these dishes look also match the ambiance at the restaurant. We ordered lots of dishes and they mostly looked great! The Salat Roasted Beet Salad is fruity, thanks to the berries and citrus, with a pistachio whip on the bottom of the dish. It's a heavier dish for a salad, but absolutely delicious and fruity. I also had the San Francisco Style Cioppino was good, but I wasn't expecting it to be like a zupa di pesci, while the flavor was good, I was having FOMO of others eating monkfish and the walleye. The Cioppino had a Louisiana flavored sauce. There was a variety of fish which were all cooked and not overdone. It's a massive dish! We finished off with English Sticky Toffee Pudding and Italian Citrus Mascarpone Cake. The cake was amazing! It wasn't too tart and light. The sticky pudding was also delicious and very sweet. It's a very beautiful restaurant, service is great, the plates look amazing and tastes great. It's definitely a spot to try again!

The main…read morereception hall features a large stone window behind the wedding party table, and there is a patio just outside that overlooks the water, which makes for a gorgeous setting. While Wild Onion is clearly a great venue for events, it is also a restaurant and brewery, so I am focusing this review more on the food and dining experience. We ate here for my cousin's wedding rehearsal dinner and were seated in a red carpeted room connected to the main reception hall. Unfortunately, this space felt out of place compared to the rest of the venue. It did not match the elegant vibe of the main hall and was a bit dark and dingy, which was somewhat off-putting at first. Service-wise, our waitress was wonderful. She was sweet, personable, and had a fun, upbeat personality that helped improve the overall experience right at the beginning. For my meal, I ordered the Kickin' Chicken Sandwich ($17). It is a hand-breaded chicken breast topped with honey garlic sauce, pepper jack cheese, bacon, chipotle mayo, and fried jalapenos. The sandwich had a really nice balance of flavors and was easy to eat, but despite the name, it was not spicy at all. I enjoyed it, though I did find the portion a bit small, and it did not fill me up. I chose cheese curds as my side, and those were a highlight. They were crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Also, because I am currently pregnant, I had an absolutely delicious mocktail. I sadly don't remember the name of the one I ordered, but I am here to say that it had a good balance of flavors. Overall, Wild Onion has a large menu with a wide variety of options, along with many different side choices, some for an additional charge. There truly is something for everyone. While the rehearsal dinner space itself was not ideal, the food, service, and overall selection still made for a positive experience.

Online reviews looked really good for it so I was excited to check it out. I think I was pleasantly more surprised than I expected to be with this place. First of all the restaurant is huge, and a really beautiful aesthetic. It's clean and dark with gold lettering on the outside. The inside has this lovely high class feel to it, large rooms, clean lines, and comfortable furniture. Aesthetically for me it's a 10 out of 10. The service was exceptional. It's one of those places where you could tell that good service is not just an afterthought but a focal point. For my dinner, I was very excited to try their wedge salad and one of the appetizers. I got the corn beef plates and they were very tasty and delightful. However, the real star for me was that wedge salad. It was a well executed wedge, with an exceptional piece of pork belly that just kicked it over the top for me. I do mildly regret my decision not to eat a steak instead, but it will give me a reason to come back and see how they can cook a fine piece of meat. Do not miss this place.
