I met up with my bud at The Tracks Bar & Grill recently for a long overdue lunch. As the name indicates, The Tracks is located very close to the Metra station in the town of Cary. The menu lists over 30 burger selections, so it may be tough to decide if you are targeting a burger. I ordered the BBQ burger which comes with cheddar cheese and two enormous onion rings, pickle, tomato and lettuce. I went with cole slaw as the side. I had to remove the onion rings and eat them as a deliciously messy side, as I found that I could not bite into the 10-ounce hand-packed Angus patty with the onion rings on top. My bud loved his reuben sandwich and a side of kettle chips. The place was very busy for lunch time, but the service was fine. The tables seemed to be spaced just far enough apart to not make me fret during these pandemic times. read more

It's been a while since I've been out this far into the burbs so I was ready to see what this town had to offer. Recommended by some locals, I was convinced to try it out. I was not disappointed. The ambiance is super friendly, upbeat and almost bubbly. The staff is bustling about making sure everyone has what they need and then some. You can tell when a great team is working together. The food was great! They seem to be known for their delicious hamburgers so of course that's what I went with. It was juicy, perfect temperature, and complimented with great fresh ingredients (tomato, onion, pickle). Their onion rings were delicious as well and was a great side to the burger. I followed the appetizers up with a sunrise burger. This thing was huge and also really good. A couple disappointing things. 1. I ordered a Knob Creek old fashioned. It was not good. It smelled wonderful but the taste was off. 2. The fries. My burger had seasoned fries. The other orders did not. The seasoned fries were wonderful. Great place for a filling meal and drinks after going to the shooting range on MLK jr Day. They were busy but we got seated right away. Appetizer: Cheese balls with ranch dip. These are better than fried cheese curds! I ordered the French burger off the classic burgers menu. Delicious! Hubby tried the fire jack burger and loved it. We both I opted for the house made chips. Lizzie L was a fabulous waitress (back in October 2019). Kim, our waitress last weekend was also fabulous. She's the mother of three boys so nothing fazes her. Of course the service is always great there the food also but one thing I don't understand I had mentioned the lights were a bit low. I had to break up my cell phone for lighting on the menu :-) and my waitress had told me that other people do it which I saw, which tells me well I think there needs to be a little bit more lighting that you don't have to break out your cell phone for lights and a menu during the day. read more

Overall what a great place! January 2020: Came back for lunch. I really need to come on a Tuesday as they have 6 oz burgers for only $2.00. I started with a Revolution Anti-Hero and we ordered cheese balls again because we are all going to die and these are worthy if being the cause. I decided to go with their Firejack Burger. My wife went with the French Burger. Just outstanding burgers. Seriously, among the best burger I have had. The meat stays together but it is tender and juicy. You need to remove the Patty Melt from your menu if you are not going to make it properly. I've had it before at your restaurant and it appears that you changed it. A hamburger with grilled onions and a slice of cheese between thick "toasted" marbled rye is not a Patty Melt. It needs to be grilled ... hence the term "melt." I saw another review from someone who said the same thing. On the customer service side, they removed the item from my bill and let me order a new sandwich. P.S. - Our waitress said that you need to "ask" for the sandwich to be grilled. That has to be one of the most ridiculous comments ever. If that's the case, put that wording on the menu. read more
