While the school presents itself as a premier training institution, the reality was quite different. Many of the instructors displayed an unprofessional and, at times, rude attitude toward students. Questions were often met with impatience, and constructive feedback was inconsistent. Instead of feeling supported and encouraged to grow, I frequently felt dismissed and undervalued. One of the most troubling aspects of my experience was the apparent favoritism shown toward certain groups of students. Opportunities, attention, and support often seemed unevenly distributed, leaving some students feeling overlooked. A professional educational institution should provide equal respect, encouragement, and opportunities to every student regardless of their background. Unfortunately, that was not the environment I experienced. What was even more disappointing was the lack of support after graduation. Once the program was over and tuition had been paid, communication seemed to end. There was little interest in maintaining relationships with former students or helping them succeed in their careers. In fact, if you happen to run into some of the instructors outside of school, don't be surprised if they avoid eye contact, turn around, or act as though they don't know you. It leaves the impression that students are valued only while they are paying customers. I would also encourage prospective students to look beyond the five-star reviews featured on the school's website. During graduation, students are encouraged to submit reviews, but the review process does not necessarily capture the full student experience. The focus is often on whether the class was worth the money rather than on the quality of instruction, professionalism of the staff, fairness, student support, or the overall learning environment. The techniques taught can be learned elsewhere, often from instructors who genuinely care about their students and their success. A great school is not defined only by the skills it teaches but also by the professionalism, integrity, and respect it shows to its students. Unfortunately, this program fell short in those areas. Before investing your time and money, I strongly recommend speaking with former students independently and doing thorough research. Don't let the glowing reviews alone make your decision. My experience was that once the tuition was collected, students became little more than a source of revenue rather than valued members of a professional community.

As a naturally skeptical consumer, I went in fully prepared to walk away if anything felt off or made me uncomfortable. I'll admit, my first appointment didn't leave the strongest impression due to some miscommunication issues. I expressed my concerns to the office, and Dr. Naz personally called me to clarify everything. She made a clear effort to ensure my concerns were addressed, and the issue was resolved. I decided to move forward because, from the start, it was evident that Dr. Naz was exceptionally competent and knowledgeable. Leading up to the procedure, I remained apprehensive and had many questions and concerns. Every single one was acknowledged and addressed--nothing was dismissed or minimized. The treatment plan I received was thoughtful, comprehensive, and, frankly, impressive. Dr. Naz's recommendations stood out from what I'd previously been told by others; instead of the usual "do more, add this, change that" approach, her guidance was measured and, in hindsight, exactly right. (I think sometimes that means Dr. Naz tells people what they don't want to hear....and I can see how it maybe upsetting to some....) The procedure itself was fairly involved, but Dr. Naz and her team truly exceeded my expectations. When I had questions or concerns during the process, Erica (her surgical assistant) was incredibly responsive--always quick to call or text. Both she and Dr. Naz were attentive, kind, and thorough. They listened carefully and made sure I felt supported every step of the way and I so appreciated their care and warmth. I'm very pleased with the outcome. I've been testing out new salons since moving here with the hope of finding one I really like that…read morealso doesn't break the bank, and had high hopes for this one based on the reviews. I only ever do simple cuts, nothing fancy. My haircut, done by Anderson (a level 3 stylist), is objectively good. The skill was there. But it's definitely shorter than I wanted it. Went in for a lob, came out with an asymmetrical bob...Honestly I was panicking while he was drying it because it was starting to look like Lord Farquaad from Shrek. I asked if he could style it like in the reference pictures I showed (simple waves, to reduce Farquaad-ness). He tried to do it with the brush/dryer, which obviously wasn't working, and didn't want to use a flatiron. So I just suffered through scalding heat on my scalp and hair pulling. I got told I don't have curly hair. I got told I don't have frizzy hair. I, in fact, have both of those. Some other minor things: 1. When I got home I had some hair that was noticeably longer than the rest, like it never got cut. So...I had to do it. Just a few strands, but normally stylists check for that when your hair is dry. 2. I almost never use heat on my hair, so I asked for recs and mentioned a specific brand doesn't work for me. He immediately said he loves that brand. I said yeah...but it doesn't work for me. Anything else? "Any salon brand." Cool. Not helpful. 3. Asked for something at the end to tame the pieces that were sticking out (again, I have frizzy hair). He looked...confused? Smoothing as a last step has been standard at every other place I've been to. There is nothing in the whole salon like that? Also, my introvert-self just wants to go somewhere where I don't have to be engaged in conversation the whole time. Anyway. Won't go back, my hunt continues.
