I love that you are able to pick up to three flavors for your drink. Tpumps really allows you to customize your drink to your liking. They also have the option for green or black tea, to add milk (to make it a milk tea), adjust sweetness/ice, and for add-ons. I got the combination of lychee, watermelon, and peach for my latest visit! I liked the combination of those flavors. I also added boba bran (which I think is chia seeds, but I could be wrong). Last time I had Tpumps was more than 3 years ago. Their drinks are pretty consistent, and the rose vanilla green milk tea met my expectations. What brought me back was their boba. I love the texture and the sweetness of their honey boba, but I wish they a little gave more given the larger size of their cups. I also recommend ordering 50-75% for the sweetness, I notice their drinks tend to be on the sweeter side. You can order at the counter or through a QR code. Still good as always. Why the 4 stars? I felt like it they don't give enough boba for the large size cup. I think they gave like 20 balls for a ginormous cup. Five stars is a given for tpumps as we are here basically every Tuesday for Tpump Tuesday ( free upgrade to large). Drinks are very tasty and customization is easy. Boba comes in the price of the drink which is nice. They have slowly raised their prices over the years but that's ok. Boba is always so soft and chewy and our drinks are almost always perfect. Today's drink wasn't filled all the way. Didn't deduct a star since it doesnt happen everytime. We drive from Riverside but regardless make sure to check their Instagram page to make sure they're open! We were here last Tuesday and they were closed :( read more

Came here on a late weekend night to drink some boba and catch up with a friend. They stay open till 1030 at night, which is pretty nice. It says on yelp that they are classified also as a coffee shop. They don't have coffee here. Limited amount of seating inside since most of the high top tables don't have stools. They have 1 couch in the corner that you can sit on if you want. Fortunately they have 1 or 2 tables outside that we were able to congregate around. I ordered their rose vanilla green milk tea with no boba regular sugar. Drinks come out really quickly. Less than 5 minutes. The taste is really good. You taste the rose flavor, you taste the vanilla flavor. It was light yet full of flavors. Intense yet not over powering. Definitely refreshing. They even have a taste sampler in the middle of the room, while you wait to order your drinks. They have small sampler cups where you can try the drink. I forgot what it was (they tell you), but it was really good as well. My friend ordered the blackberry peach black tea and he also stated it tasted really good. They seem to make really nice drinks, I'll have to try their boba and toppings in the future. But solid boba spot, that I will be frequenting more often!! read more

Rose Vanilla Green Milk Tea: 3/5 My dog had a vet appointment in the area, so I decided to find a cafe to crank out some work. This led me to venture up to distant lands (haha) to Tpumps. After coming here, it wasn't what I was expecting. This isn't a traditional boba milk tea shop, where the emphasis is on the brewing of the tea and variations of types of teas used. Instead, the focus is on the pumps of syrup added to your tea. This results in more westernized flavor of tea that I haven't had before. This isn't a bad thing, but more so an expectation to have when coming here. Flavor wise, this would be like if Ding Tea and Starbucks had a baby. The rose vanilla green milk tea I had reminded me of the smell of a grandma and scented candles. Not a very palatable flavor. As a work spot, not exactly my cup of tea (pun unintended). The seats arent very comfortable, and the music played is mostly some Post Malone, making me reminisce about lost opportunities from the past. Looks like this place took heed to multiple reviews asking for more boba portions because my drink had plenty this time. BUT it was weirdly chewy as if gelatin was used. I couldn't finish my drink so I put it in the fridge overnight, fully expecting the boba to be hard (as what happens to fresh boba if you refrigerate it) and it had the same chewy gelatinous texture. Pretty weird to witness. I make my own boba so I have at least some sort of idea what happens in the cooking process and how good boba should be. But the jello texture of this batch was just too weird. I got the strawberry rose green milk tea. Once again, lack of rose flavor. But the strawberry was good. My brother ordered for me: light sugar and light ice, but I wonder if he accidentally said less sugar instead because this thing was really sweet. My overall rating is mainly based on the gelatine texture of the boba and the fact it was still abnormally the same even after a night of being in the fridge. read more

I wanted to like this place but it was kinda hard to when the drinks were way too sweet and artificial tasting. Every drink my family got tasted so sugary and sweet and the rose green tea one didn't even taste like rose it tasted more cinnamon like. Service was good though and there were samples but I didn't like any of them as they were too sweet. The worker did offer a flavor that was less artificial but it was at 100% sweetness so I got that one and ordered it at the Lowest percentage expecting it to not be as sweet and it still tasted sweet. Maybe it's just my taste buds but I couldn't finish it and just gave it to my sister instead because she likes sweet stuff. My family also had to water down their drinks when they got home because it was like drinking syrup. The ambiance is cute with whiteboards everywhere but the drinks hurt my stomach with the sugary feeling and taste that I don't want to come back again. Nice place, not for me. Back when Tpumps first opened up in Pasadena, the lines were crazy as all the SoCal residents were able to finally get a taste of NorCal's popular boba joint. But seeing that they primarily specialize in syrup flavored drinks, I really don't get the hype - especially after I've tried it several times. But this was my first time trying Upland's location - there's sadly not too many legitimate boba shops in the area and I didn't really want anything from the boba place I frequent, so I made the drive over to Tpumps to get myself a lighter, fruitier drink. The shop is located in a big plaza with tons of parking. The outside looks quite old and rundown with super tinted windows. I wasn't sure if the place was still open or not. Once inside, they do have drink samples of concoctions they've made that day which I think is nice. If you're not familiar with the menu, you basically choose your size and syrup flavoring (you can pick up to 3), the type of tea you want, if you want any milk (only lactose free creamer is included; you have to pay $0.50 more for milk), if you want to adjust sweetness or ice levels, and what toppings you want in the drink (1 free topping is included in the drink price). For around $4, you get a 24 oz. drink that includes boba, which isn't bad. But I don't feel like the tea that Tpump makes is comparable to other boba shops. I ended up ordering a mango honey green tea with boba. The drink was not bad and along the lines of what I was craving. Boba was cooked well and was nice and chewy - not sweet though. I adjusted for less sugar, but not sure how they do that if they just use syrups (maybe fewer pumps?). For around $4, the drink was decent. Got a pretty sweet but tasty mango tea. You can also adjust your drink if you're not satisfied with the end result, which is nice. The worker taking my order did not look like he wanted to be there. Super unenthusiastic as I asked a few questions, which was quite off-putting. They take credit cards and they also have pre-made teas for $2 (without flavoring or with limited flavoring) in the fridge by the pick-up counter. And there's the Tuesday special where all drinks are automatically upgraded to the 32 oz. size. tl;dr - Meh, the tea is not bad. You get more of the syrup flavoring than the tea flavoring. read more

My sister and cousins love this place and tbh it's growing on me ever since I tried their rose vanilla green milk tea! It has great flavor and quenches the milk tea craving ! They offer a number of customer favorites and what they are known for but you have the ability to curate your own drink (I used to do that but after a couple failed attempts I've stuck to their favorites lol) Also a great thing about this place is they always have newly curated teas that they let you sample. When I came to the store, I wasn't sure if it was open since it was Memorial Day. I opened the doors and was welcomed by very friendly smiles. Whenever I try a new boba place, I always see if I can order an Oolong Milk Tea w/ Boba so that I can compare it to all of the other places I've been to. Luckily they were offering it, so I ordered just that! There were a lot of options to choose from though and there's a plethora of combinations that you can create. The drink was really good and comparable to some of the top places that I've been to thus far. The staff was super friendly and guided my partner and I through choosing our drinks. They have a fridge near the back that had complimentary water as well as pre-prepared drinks that were being sold for a cheaper price-- very considerate of them! 5/29/23 - This is one of my top 3 boba places! My go-to is a brown sugar + marshmallow milk tea w/ boba. They didn't have brown sugar when I went, but that's okay because the bobarista was really kind and helpful when I was getting her advice on what flavors would be best to get instead. With her help, I decided on getting a cookie dough + marshmallow milk tea! I really like the concept they have of being able to choose up to 3 flavors for your tea and I haven't seen this at any other boba place I've been to. This place still have the best prices around! Of course all theIr flavors are artificially made so I guess the price diference. They have a big variety of flavors to choose from and a bunch of teenagers making your drinks. Do not come around 3pm, since they are right across a high school and it gets pretty busy at this time. Something about Tpumps that stands out to me compared to any other boba chain is the customization options. You can literally have any base and they have a wider flavor variety than any other boba place I've been to. Their actual tapioca balls are very chewy and sweet. I really liked how the flavours worked with each other and the coconut taste wasn't too overpowering. Definitely recommend this if you're trying something different than the Rose Vanilla Green Milk Tea (my usual go to). My friend got the Almond Roca Raspberry Vanilla Black Tea! She really liked the drink and said that it tasted like a raspberry cheesecake (just like the menu description says)!! She would recommend getting not the full sweetness because full sweetness was a lot for her, but it all depends on your taste buds.
