Heater is 11 yrs old and living on borrowed time. Called a provider a major player in the area and got a quote which seemed rather high. Then called Palmerio and phone answered by the owner. Explained situation and got a ball park quote which was substantially lower than the major player. When could job be done? Answer....today I'll be over within an hour. Long story short from the time of first contact at 8:30am until new heater installed and running at 12:30 pm Elapsed time 4 hours!!! Can't beat that for service and the price was right. I selected Drainman because of the strong ratings on Yelp, and I was very happy with the outcome of the repair. Mike Ammouri, the very friendly and knowledgeable owner, came to our home to diagnose the problem on a Sunday... which was amazing in itself. Mike went through a series of troubleshooting tests to determine that the pressure in the old part of our house was fine. He also looked at the plumbing lines going into the new part of the house where the upstairs shower and sink are located, and he reported that everything looked fine. That left the water tank itself. He went upstairs with me and we conducted a few tests and he then concluded that our water holding tank was too small, thereby causing the pump to cycle on and off. It was during those cyclings that we were experiencing the severe drop down in water flow. He came out on a Sunday, provided what seemed to be an accurate diagnosis, he charged me nothing, and he's going to provide a quote for the work. On top of that, I got a new showerhead thrown in for free.

The plumber was at my home as scheduled to check out my system, but before he would do anything, he told me that I have to pay $460 (plus tax) for labor, and if the disposal system needs to be replaced, it will cost me at least $750 (plus tax). He said he could only go as low as $300 (plus tax), after checking with his supervisor. I thought it's overpriced so since my issue wasn't urgent , I declined to have it fixed. I found a local plumber, who didn't charge for an inspection and charged me a total of $450 including labor to replace the broken system with a new garbage disposal system. Customers should beware of Plumbing services who claim to have free estimates on site but would charge desperate customers exorbitantly, especially if the plumbing issue needs to be fixed urgently!

However, the boiler is defective. Every week or two we have to reset the boiler as it keeps shutting down. The boiler heats our hot water. They have replaced parts and nothing works. In fact, they replaced a part on Monday and in two days I had to reset the boiler again. We just had the AC replaced a year ago. It is not working as of today and they can't figure out why as of this review. Let me clarify, that the techs are good people and seem to know what they are doing. The customer service is very responsive. The quality of the products is another question.
