Beyond UNACCEPTABLE quality of work regarding alignments! I have a completely stock 2024 4-Runner that I purchased from Toyota of Pharr and have had to bring my vehicle in for service two different days and had waited for over eight hours and this is the results of the alignment. I will say the (Customer Service) of the Advisor Eric G. & Service Manager Jose T. Was acceptable as they we helpful and very apologetic, the physical work of service done during the alignment of a factory quality 4 Runner is absolutely unacceptable! It seems like customer service is usually dependent on the representative with whom you are dealing. That said, I cannot recommend highly enough Toyota of Pharr and particularly their salesperson, Travis Moss. We bought a used vehicle from them and within 24 hours it had developed some difficulties. Nothing too major, the vehicle ran fine, but it had some electronic issues which really burdened us. We reported this to Mr. Moss and he did not hesitate in asking us to bring it in to let them look at it. It was an intermittent problem and I was totally prepared for them to tell me that it was a used vehicle and basically, too bad. However, they really went to the mat to diagnose the problem and try to fix it. They even sent my vehicle to the dealership that dealt with the brand we had purchased to get it fixed. In the meantime they offered us a loaner vehicle since our car was our only form of transportation. At the end of all this, the vehicle was absolutely fixed and the customer service was second to none. If you are considering a new or used Toyota, I would highly encourage you to go to Toyota of Pharr and seek out Mr. Travis Moss. He showed us some Toyota Tacoma's and other vehicles , but they had a special in 1 of them , 0 down and 569 a month plus they deducted 5,700 in it . So we start working the numbers and everything and the waiting game began . After a couple of hrs he mention to us if we had to do some errands to go ahead and do them , I told him clearly if we leave and someone else's starts looking into that truck what would happen . He said nothing you guys are the first ones, go ahead and do your errands and I'll call you guys as soon as we get the approval for the bank . We leave but no call , after 1 hour I called him and he said " sir you got aprroved I already washed your truck put full tank on it as well go ahead and come pick it up . " when we got there 20 minutes literally took us to get there after that phone call , someone else had already bought the truck.Then Tony comes with some manager and the manager said sorry I couldn't aprroved you , you guys needed 9,500 down to take it , I said well how did you know if I had the down or not and they stay quiet so we left . Really bad bad experience and they didn't want to honer us another truck or even help us with a car or something . Never again will I buy from toyota in Pharr , really disappointed in them all . Called Toyota to ask if I needed an appointment due to getting a nail on my tire, they stated I did not need an appointment and I could bring in my car whenever. I took in my car around 9am they told me it was no problem that I didn't have an appointment, and that I could take a seat in their waiting area. After 2 and a half hours with no updates I asked my service member for updates and he stated that he still needed to check my warranty to see if I could get a replacement. 2 more hours go by and I still have no update on my car, finally at 1pm my service member informed me that my car was ready and gave me sass and attitude when handing me my invoice saying that my car required expensive tires. Terrible experience. Came to look at a car posted online and the car wasn't even lot ready. Car needed alignment, oil change, and tire rotation and balance. Dealership made us wait 5 hours in order to test drive vehicle again. Then it came down to negotiating and we agreed on the price of the vehicle, just for the rug to be pulled from under us. We were then told we couldn't buy the car at the price we agreed on although we were notified that everything was final and no additional fees would be added. Don't bother with this place. I met with a sales rep and told him I had to use the restroom and would be right back. When I returned the sales rep was gone. Suddenly a sales rep named "Cisco", short for Francisco, came up to me and seemed like a nice guy at first. I told him that so far I had preferred the Lexus GX as I just test drove it but wanted to test drive a Toyota RAV and the Land Cruiser. He lied and said that they didn't have any RAVs and the Land Cruiser was just a demo not for test driving. I spoke to the sales manager and he said they had Toyota RAVs and would be happy to allow me to test drive the Land Cruiser as thats what its for. Stay away from Cisco, he is a liar and doesn't want to help customers just because they may or may not purchase a Toyota. This is not an "opinion," but "fact." I was interested in a pre-owned 4x4 Tacoma. This particular vehicle was leased, and had less than 12k miles. I contacted Richard in sales to ask why a vehicle that had ALL the required maintenance done (according to Carfax) with such low mileage did not have a Gold, or even Silver certification. 5 minutes later the sales manager called me and said it passed Toyotas 160 point checklist, but sometimes they don't certify them to "keep the price down." I said, "so you're telling me a vehicle qualifies for a 100k miles warranty, but you withhold that warranty to keep the price down?" He answered "yes." I asked him if Richard told him my brother was the sales manager at Autonation Toyota for 13 years, to which his shaking voice said "no." I respectfully told him I happen to know what he's telling me is the biggest crock of horse "dung" I've ever heard. All I wanted to know was why the truck failed certification, which it obviously did. Run away from this dealership...as fast as you can. read more

I live in Florida, and I had spent a few months looking for the Toyota Tacoma I wanted. I was looking for a specific year, trim package and color. I wasn't having any luck locally so I started looking online and I finally found it at Toyota of Pharr. I called and talked to Ms. Rain and she hooked me up with one of the salesman, Elliot Perez. I was nervous about buying online and out of state, it was new to me, but from the first time I spoke with Elliot, he was so friendly and professional and really eased my mind., Since I lived out of town, Elliot took the time to set up a video call and walked me all around the truck so I could see everything inside and out, while he pointed out all the features. It was just like being there. During the whole process, if I had any questions or concerns, all I had to was text him and he always got back to me in a timely manner with an answer. He literally sold me the truck over the phone and through texts. All I had to do was fly in, test drive it, and do the paperwork. He even picked us up at the airport, and when I met him, I already felt like he was a friend, because he took what i thought was going to be a stressful situation and turned it into a smooth and pleasant purchase. I bought a vehicle at Toyota of Pharr. The salesman told me to bring the truck later because the crew had to detail my Tacoma. A week later, I took the vehicle. I left things in the glove compartment and in the middle of the seat. I had my phone charger, a hard drive with important information I forgot to take off, and other valuables. The salesman should have told the detail crew that my vehicle was just a regular detail wash, and they threw away all my things. My hard drive was worth about $125. I went back, and nobody knew what happened to it. I called the store several times to talk to the general manager but have not reached him. read more

Arrived 10 minutes early for my scheduled "oil change" appointment. Eddie, the Service Advisor, walks out to my vehicle & says, rotate the tires, I reply, No, just an oil change. I will forever recommend the sales department, and have since July 2021. Have even purchased 3 cars between July-March. However, I absolutely will never recommend the service/parts department. Looks like I'll be finding another Toyota nearby to get work done. Twice now have taken vehicles in to be worked on and have gotten nothing accomplished. I have a recall currently on a car that was sold to me- with an active recall- have had an appointment set for weeks, show up at 0700 on a Saturday morning, sign for the work to be done, sit for an hour, AND THEN am told they don't even have the part. Where is the accountability for dropping the ball? Why wasn't I told yesterday? Why did we sign for the work to be done? Why let us sit for an hour? So, I can continue to drive my family around in a car that can mess up due to the recall even longer. Now, they'll call us when the part comes in. Was it even ordered? On the last car; they said they'd call us when the part came in, and never called. This service department is an absolute joke. read more

I just took our 2011 Sienna in for service and told them I was waiting at the dealership for the work to be done. I was told it would be less than an hour for the oil change and tire rotation. After 45 minutes the service rep came to me and had a list of at least 4 additional things they found to do to our van including showing me the cabin filter that the service tech said needed changing (which means it was being worked on). I said I just wanted the services I brought it in for. After waiting for another 45 minutes I went looking for my service rep, who apparently wasn't there. The rep next to him found my service ticket and key fob on the first guys desk - just sitting there. I would probably still be sitting there if I hadn't gone looking for the rep to find out what was going on. Maybe this is what they do to you when you say you don't want them to do the extra work for you. read more

This my second scheduled maintenance on my 2015 Silverado and to say the least, I was very bothered by the turnout. So I called ahead and set up an appointment which I was told by a representative was the earliest available (10:00am). I show up at 9:45 and decide to wait for the truck since Patrick (service rep) told me it would take around 1 to 1.5 hours for completion. So I take a seat and enjoy my phone for a good hour without any update of where along my truck is on the service line. After a solid hour and a half, Patrick approaches me and tells me they will start on my truck soon. I was very surprised about his update when i was told I should be out in about 1.5 hours. So I get up and walk around the dealership to vent a bit and watch some nice vehicles outside. Did this for about 20 minutes before I run into the area where they have the vehicles waiting to be serviced and to my surprise, at exactly 12:00pm, my truck is still untouched by a technician. ....oh boy, was I bothered! So I walk inside the building, and look for Patrick who is headed my way and tells me my truck is next.....after TWO HOURS from my appointment!!! So I really didn't have any option other than wait and not let my morning become spoiled by poor performance from this department. Finally got my truck back at 12:31pm. (Amazing job by the technician who was probably rushed to finish my truck). All I got from the rep was a "Sorry for the wait" half fast apology and my keys.... I know there might be reasons to why this whole situation went south, but me (also as an employee myself) can make my customers feel at least aware of what's going on by keeping them on the loop with spontaneous updates, letting them know they weren't forgotten in the process. I wished I would have done my Yelp homework before purchasing a vehicle at this dealership. I included a picture of the time I got my invoice as proof.... Brought my 2014 Prius in for its 5k service. Here's what went wrong: 1- Failed to rotate tires but claimed they did, in writing. I had marked/numbered each tire thanks to advice from other Yelpers. 2- Fell behind schedule nearly 2 hours 3- Failed to call when service was complete. 4- Failed to wash car properly twice. 5- Stunk up the car with disgusting artificial air freshener when they said they weren't doing anything interior. 6- Left bits of debris from a rag, blocking view of the speedometer. 7- Left red stains on front passenger floor mat. I left very frustrated. They didn't apologize for anything and did not offer any gesture of good faith after this terrible experience. Since they failed at nearly every task I could see, I worry that they also bungled work performed under the hood. I find it suspicious that many of the positive Yelp reviews here are by people with no other reviews. Also funny how FST only has responded to positive reviews thus far. I would love to get a response (and perhaps a replacement floor mat). ********UPDATE 10/31/14*********** The morning after I wrote this review I received a voicemail from James Lott, (service manager?) who was very helpful. When we spoke he apologized for what had happened and said he's working hard to turn the business around. He also graciously replaced the stained floor mat which I really appreciate. Horrible service. Had my Toyota Care appointment to tune up my car, including tire balance and rotation. Drove 2 miles to next location, the tire was flat within 4 hours. No spare provided in Toyota Corolla Hybrids; Toyota provides only off-brand Fix a Flat. Used Fix a Flat to get to the closest tire service since Toyota was already closed for the weekend. The next tire place said they would not repair a tire that had off-brand Fix a Flat in it, had to buy a new tire. Took car back to Toyota asap, Toyota refused to reimburse for tire, which had fallen flat immediately after leaving their service. And tried to sell me another new tire and wheel for a spare for a total of more than $350, or said I could buy more of their off-brand Fix a Flat as an emergency solution, even though I was told using it made the tire unrepairable. I was told this was not a good idea by two other tire services. Do NOT recommend. read more

AC stopped working in my Sequoia. Took it in to get a quote for repair. The service dept said my AC needed to be completely replaced and quoted me over $3000 repair costs. No way did I believe this. Took it to an independent AC repair shop in McAllen and it cost me $300 to get the condenser replaced. Toyota of Pharr is a complete scam. Would NEVER go there again!! Worse service, ever. Appointment is at 0700. No adviser is there. Full bays of vehicles, no one shows up to work on time. Why make appointments at 0700 if your employees do even show up on time? So unprofessional! By 0700 advisers would already have the vehicles prepped and ready to go. At 0730, "Eddie" the horrid adviser decided to call and ask what my 4RUNNER needed. He asked if he should just change my breaks like I am a damn mechanic. Seriously? Do your job! There was one young gentlemen there who did show up prior to 0700 and he tended to my vehicle even though he was not my adviser, as 7ppl bombarded him. This dealership should not even affiliate with Toyota, such a disgraceful disappointment. I would not recommend this place at all. Overhaul your team. read more
