Went this time for an emission test for Texas registration. Before I went there, I checked all levels of oil, transmission, PS, antifreeze, cleanliness of engine, hoses tight and clean, and antifreeze. All levels just fine. So went there, and asked about the pulley. They did the emission test, then drove truck around, and played under the hood. No repairs, they were just looking. So I leave, and I think how weird the truck sounds. And figured it was probably something to do with the steering, as it growled when I turned corners. Got home, and checked all levels, and for some reason, the power steering fluid level was WAY overfilled! It was fine before I took it there. Anyway, have driven it a few times, and the engine still sounds real bad, especially when turning corners. So I don't know if they overfilled it for some reason... maybe to get me back to fix the problem that suddenly occurred after I was there. I'm a middle aged woman, but dad taught us kids to change oil and do all minor repairs before he let us buy a car. So I now something about such things, such as an engine in a 2000 pick-up 4 cylinder. So, I don't trust going back there again. If you yelp National Lube Express in Weslaco, you'll read about how some car emission check places rip someone off big time to get repairs done there. Anyway, I don't trust this place any longer. .
