Another Marriott

Lots of drilling going on above us....not sure if there was construction or what the noise was from...we heard it until 8pm and it started back up at 7 am the next morning.... Hotel is pretty good compared to the rest of the hotels in this area... they're much older... so I would recommend this one over the older ones.... Plenty of parking and the staff was friendly....

Hubby & I had an one night stay here driving from San Francisco on our way to Moab. We used our Marriott e-certificate. Our room was on the 4th floor two rooms away from the elevator. My profile states far away from the elevator but this was contrary to my preference. Fortunately it was quiet. We arrived around 3pm. Our room was ready. It was stocked with coffee and tea. There was a microwave, a small cooktop, and a fridge. I went to use a fork - one of two in the drawer. Good thing I only needed one. Plates and coffee cups in the cabinet. Housekeeping didn't do a count so not even number of items. We didn't cook so it was a nonissue for us. We didn't make coffee in our room as they've got 24 hour coffee and tea down in the hotel lobby. The next morning we had complimentary breakfast. Hot items prepackaged; oatmeal, yogurt, cold cereal, pastries, and bagels. The only thing missing was fresh fruit. Milk, juice, coffee, etc. It was a brief stay but comfortable stay.

Great stay - our stopover between California and Idaho trip. Clean and large rooms - full kitchen is awesome and having a real table instead of a desk to eat on! Great staff - fast check in and super friendly Great Breakfast and Coffee - waffles, oatmeal with fixings (walnut brown sugar raisins), cooked eggs, boiled eggs individually wrapped, and sausages/ham, bread, fruits, yogurts, cereal, even had almond milk togo! Pet friendly had a great backyard for pets to do their thing Safe area and just overall wonderful stay for the price! I enjoyed the small general store with reasonable prices for beer, wine, ice cream!

I don't think our room was cleaned before we stayed here. The corners of the room near the door were very dirty, there were multiple hairs in the bathroom tub, and the kitchen sink looked like it had dried puke in it. This was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I stayed here once previously and the room that time was fine. I will try a different hotel the next time I am in the area.

Super nice room. Granted, I only spent three hours at the hotel for a quick shower and nap, but darn it- it was great! I drove from Colorado Springs to Elko and wished I could have stayed longer. I appreciated the super clean room, the nice big walk in area, and the fresh and strong coffee at the breakfast. The breakfast looked delicious, but I didn't partake.

We were traveling through the area so we stayed a night in one of their suites with a kitchen. Overall, the hotel was really nice. There was plenty of parking, it was conveniently located near an Albertsons and the freeway, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was an indoor pool, laundry and fitness room, an outdoor patio with tables and a bbq grill, plus free breakfast. With Covid-19 safety precautions in place, they didn't offer daily housekeeping and their breakfast was to-go only but being able to get a hot breakfast was a nice touch (ie. eggs, sausage, bacon, etc). We liked having a fully equipped kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, stove top, dishes, pots, pans, glasses, silverware, cleaning supplies. They also had small appliances available to borrow but we didn't take advantage of that. The room was a bit more expensive but we were able to offset the cost with making our own dinner from groceries purchased from the nearby Albertsons.

King suite kitchen area.

Their gym was great, 3 treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, dumbbells and bench, also a large area for floor routines. The room was clean but we did find a weird stain on the head of the sheets under the pillows that looked like old blood and that made me uncomfy. I forgot to mention it to the staff before we left (I didn't see it until the morning and neither me nor my husband had a cut that would make it ours) so hopefully they see this. My only other complaint is that their pet policy is vague on expedia, it just says "pets welcome" and doesn't give you anywhere to add a pet when you're booking the room. When we checked in they dropped that it was $70 per dog which is wildly high (most hotels are $25-$50/ea) so I really wasn't pleased about that. Besides those two things it was a good stay when passing through town.

I love their pancake machine and that they have high-end yogurt. This location also had one more hot dish items compared to other holiday Inn express. Unfortunately, they had a hard time keeping items available in the morning. Their breakfast hours were fantastic. It's 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM. If you're interested, they offered free dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday for guests who are staying longer stays. We never took advantage of it. The hotel itself is starting to get old. It was annoying that the smoke detectors were right above where you sleep so the light that flashes every 30 seconds kept waking me up. Typically that's by the entrance or somewhere so it's not distracting at night. It was a little frustrating when I booked my stay months ago that the price quoted was slightly different than what I actually paid. They tacked on a credit card processing fee, which seemed really strange. Do they really want me to show up with a check? All in all I would definitely come back.

The staff was all friendly as most are and my reservation was in the system fine. I'll stay here again.

Now this ..THIS is what I'm used to at Red Lion (now, Maverick but it'll ALWAYS be Red Lion to me!)…read more I even have a players card that is SO old, the kind folks at the Players Club cage had never even seen the old infamous "Green Card"! Had to update it to the modern version. I've been a long time frequenter of this place throughout the years.. My son lives here, but I come thru often because I live in Sparks, and this was always my go to up until about 3 years ago, that I had such a tragic experience, I abandoned my room for the 2nd night and stayed at Shutters. NOT anymore! You can read my reviews of "Red Lion" if it's still available, and surely you're reading this updated review for Maverick. WHAT a turn around. First off, I was offered a comp weekend because of my experience a few years back. That particular GM wasn't there, but I called to see if they were still honor a comp room for a night, and despite there being a couple years in between my last visit, they still honored that promise. That spoke volumes. My room, was perfect, exactly what I'm used to with this place. Didn't eat at Aspen this time, just some gambling and cocktails. We started off in the back bar, and I can't remember the nice lady's name, but she was on point. WE gambled and drank a bit, then went and gambled a little bit more, and actually won all of our money back, so we decided to sit in the front bar and just pay for drinks so I didn't give the house back the money hahaha Char (pronounced like 'Cher', not Char-Broil hahaha) was our bartender in the front bar. She actually helped us on the floor also before we sat to drink. It was the day after christmas, and their staff was run wire thin, they were covering the floor and bartending, busting their butts. I've never had an issue with service here, ever. It was cold outside, even snowed overnight. Not a single issue with the AC, despite others complaints. Thank you guys again, for honoring your promise from years past. I'm completely satisfied once again, and now I know the calibers back on point, this once again, will be my go-to, and with my new fancy updated players club card! Our stomachs growled so we both agreed to grab a table for an unplanned breakfast. We hit the jackpot with our waitress Mary, very nice lady. She even surprised us with some unexpected Spanish speaking; I was glad I didn't have to translate for my friend this time. We ordered a $26 Steak-n-eggs plate each which consisted of a portion of hard chewy steak, dry hash browns that felt and tasted like catholic first-communion wafers, 2 eggs and some oddly delicious pancakes (their texture was firmer compared to the conventional, which I enjoyed very much). Mary came to us right after we took our first bite checking if everything was alright. Up to where we were at the moment, we said yes and kept eating. It wasn't until later down the process that we realized we were not enjoying the plate nearly at all. Mary's great service and personality does not match the quality of food served in this restaurant. I really want to go see her again, but I sincerely don't want to eat the food served here. This first sweet and sour experience is now engraved in me, but one experience out of thousands does not define the place, so I suggest you give this place a chance.
