    Bed size guide

We stopped here on our road trip to Utah just for a quick overnighter. There were 4 of us so we needed two queen beds. This place had a spa, free breakfast and queen beds so it looked like a winner. When we got checked in all seemed fine till we got to our room. The beds were full size. I went to the front desk and asked the attendant if we could please have queen beds and she said you do have queens. I asked her if all the rooms had the same size for queen she said yes. Ok so they lied. These beds are full size and they are advertising as queen. It was one night so we stayed. I measured the beds to make sure I'm not wrong. They measure as full. The false advertising is what's bad. Don't lie to us. The rest of the place was dingy looking. The ice machine was gross looks like it would be slimy ice. The spa wasn't working proper when we tried to use it. Also the handrail you hold to get in was very loose and as I stepped in the spa I slipped down and fell into it. Something they need to fix because an older person could really have gotten hurt. They had free breakfast and it wasn't bad. The main thing that really frustrates me is lying on your advertising with the beds. I would never stay here again.

    Darell like this place.

The staff are friendly and went above expectations. Gave us free cold bottle water. The breakfast was very good . The beds were great. (Pillows always suck). They didn't harass me about my service dog. It smelled ok.

Working in Elko for 4 days covering a colleague's shift who is on family leave...long 4 and 1/2 hour drive from Reno. I was able to pick any hotel in town to stay the 4 nights. I chose the Comfort Inn. They had an indoor pool, jacuzzi, free breakfast, and of course a reasonable priced room. The desk person who greeted me was very nice. I arrived late at about 11 pm, and he checked me in and gave me 2 card keys and directed me to where my room was. I parked my car in the lot and grabbed my bags. Headed to my room for some sleep... The room was really big! Tall ceilings...the bathroom was on right with the toilet and shower as I entered the room, and to the left was the closet, and next to the closet was the sink and mirror. There were 2 queen beds and a small table with chairs, a TV stand with a TV and a microwave with an apartment size refrigerator and a freezer. I woke the next morning and took a look out the window-I had a view of a brick wall, and there was a walkway, and there was trash on the walk. I informed the front desk about it before I left to work. The desk person said she would let the grounds person know about it. I went to see what was for breakfast in the dining area...they had all kinds of quick bites from waffles, cold cereal, hot cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, muffins, danishes, biscuits and gravy. Everything was great for the free breakfast! The 2nd day, I left for the day. I put the Do Not Disturb sign on my door. I don't like cleaning people in my room when I only stay a few days. But, when I came back from my shift at work the housekeeping staff had cleaned my room...I didn't mind at first until I realized one of my receipts was missing from the TV stand...I get reimbursed for my food,so I was saving to turn in,but it was gone, so the next morning I called the front desk to let them know that someone had cleaned my room even though I had my DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door and I needed my receipt, she said she would contact whomever cleaned my room and they would find it. Anyway, long story short, they returned my receipt the next morning. The rest of the stay was uneventful. The jacuzzi was great after a long 12 hour shift!! The indoor pool was ice cold. I was kind of hoping it was heated, it would get more use if it had been heated...not sure what happened to the gym/exercise room...it was empty and I think there was supposed to be a sauna but I didn't see that either. It's a nice place to stay, but they need to fix a few things.

I have been traveling on the road with my fiance for many days and have stayed at Motel 6 and Super 8-very nice hotels for the price. Being tired from driving, we decided to try Comfort Inn Elko, as it looked very well maintained from the outside and I was aware of the Comfort Inn's great reputation. I was a bit concerned about the price but honestly, it wasn't that much more than a Super 8. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was fairly large, super comfortable beds, great TV and unbelievably clean. I was also pleased how nice the air was, being a smoke free hotel. There was a really nice indoor pool, Jacuzzi, excercize room and sauna (which I did not use). The next morning, there was a wonderful breakfast of cereals, juices, coffee, eggs and other items. The manager was so friendly, asking how everyone's stay was and how the breakfast was. They were completing work on an elevator to the 2nd floor, which will make it easier for the guests. I REALLY like this hotel and HIGHLY recommend it!

As a frequent Elko visitor, I have stayed in a number of the hotels in the area and was quite happy with this location. The room was clean and the price was fair. Checking in, the little gal at the front was as pleasant as she could be! Chatty without slowing down the process, made sure I knew where I was going, and made it clear when breakfast would be. The room was nicely done with a small desk which was great for catching up on emails. I also love when the sink and mirror are not locked in the bathroom so you can get ready while watching the news in the morning. I had a breakfast meeting early and left my stuff because I was going to come back. At 11, they called me to make sure I was coming back as I left my stuff behind. I told them I needed 15 minutes which they were great about. I appreciated the courtesy call. Only negative was the fridge made a weird whistling sound. I'm sure they would have handled if I brought it up, but I was tired and just wanted to hit the hay.

Great clean room. A little dated and hard beds compared to other Comfort inns. But MUCH better than the other Choice hotel locally.

So on one of the busiest weeks of the year, I was looking for a replacement six-night stay with two beds in a room, breakfast (ideally) and clean, safe environment. I found it and more at TownePlace Suites, thanks to host Douglas who searched me out a room that would work, hunted down my old Marriott membership number, and reserved the space 'til I could cancel my existing reservation and get myself across town. Though the price point initially set me back on my heels, he won me over with his promise of breakfast, dinners (this week special for Cowboy Poetry Gathering), and a functioning Jacuzzi. (What can I say? It's a long drive out here!) Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by James and another staff member who gave me the rundown. I asked if I could bring my own food down for breakfast "since I have food issues" and James walked me over to the breakfast nook to show off the GLUTEN-FREE and DAIRY-FREE options that are there on the regular, from rolls and muffins to soymilk within arm's reach. In my room, I found a kitchenette complete with clean, cool fridge/freezer, a sink, microwave, dishwasher, dishware and utensils and enough pots and pans to cook on the two burner built-in hotplate/electric stove top. There were two clean, nicely made beds, a clean bathroom, table large enough for four people, and two easy chairs, and more. SOLD! Yes, pricier than others. Yes, in Elko you get what you pay for.

Their gym was great, 3 treadmills, an elliptical, a bike, dumbbells and bench, also a large area for floor routines. The room was clean but we did find a weird stain on the head of the sheets under the pillows that looked like old blood and that made me uncomfy. I forgot to mention it to the staff before we left (I didn't see it until the morning and neither me nor my husband had a cut that would make it ours) so hopefully they see this. My only other complaint is that their pet policy is vague on expedia, it just says "pets welcome" and doesn't give you anywhere to add a pet when you're booking the room. When we checked in they dropped that it was $70 per dog which is wildly high (most hotels are $25-$50/ea) so I really wasn't pleased about that. Besides those two things it was a good stay when passing through town.

We started off in the back bar, and I can't remember the nice lady's name, but she was on point. She even surprised us with some unexpected Spanish speaking; I was glad I didn't have to translate for my friend this time. We ordered a $26 Steak-n-eggs plate each which consisted of a portion of hard chewy steak, dry hash browns that felt and tasted like catholic first-communion wafers, 2 eggs and some oddly delicious pancakes (their texture was firmer compared to the conventional, which I enjoyed very much). Mary came to us right after we took our first bite checking if everything was alright. Up to where we were at the moment, we said yes and kept eating. It wasn't until later down the process that we realized we were not enjoying the plate nearly at all.
