The breakfast buffet offered lots of protein options in addition to, waffle station, build your own breakfast sandwich, assorted breads, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt bar, and juices. Baskets of fresh fruit line the island. We didn't use their pool or exercise room. This chain caters to travelers with pets, so plan on pets around the hotel. Fantastic hotel! Full kitchen. Dish washer. Freezer. Plenty of space to spread out. Lots of simple and beautiful places to store my things while I was there. Found places to play violin for my YouTubes / Facebook and TikTok! Free laundry. Gorgeous pool. Comfy bed. Glad I had my soft slippers and an extra blanket. I could have pulled out their extra blanket , but that would have been more laundry / water / soap / effort for the planet and maid. So I used my own. I was cold. Put on my slippers and the extra blanket. Turned the heat up to 71 and then I fell right asleep. LOVE the room darkening shade. Wouldn't recommend the $30 for the extra Mountain View room. I didn't think it was worth it. The mountain is far away. Not close and huge. Eggs were cold at breakfast but still yummy. Lots of fruit choices! Apples (24/7), bananas, oranges, pears !!! I took 1 of each for my road trip snacking. Brandy checked me in and out. She is FANTASTIC. Love her. Great facility. Dog walking pad with baggies and trash there. Recycling in my room! Big tv. Loved staying here! They were right, completely improved breakfast! Yes, the rooms were comfty and clean but dang, that breakfast. You have eggs cooked all sorts of ways, bagels and cream cheese, oatmeal, yogurt with all the fixings, pancakes, some great bacon, toast, and bakery items! Customer service is very poor. This is not worth the price at all. It's a $100/night property charging almost $350. Don't recommend.

If you're familiar with the Embassy Suite format, this is sort of a scaled down version with additional features. So instead of 2 rooms + 2 baths, it's one large room with a slider for privacy and 1 bath. However, the suite comes with a kitchenette - kitchen sink, full fridge and dishwasher to match the microwave, toaster and a hot plate on demand. For those of you who have tried to use a mini fridge as a fridge with frustrating failure, having a full fridge and freezer is...awesome. Ice, frozen foods (like Eggo waffles). The bed was super comfortable, bathroom and shower very nice with pump dispensers for shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The hotel feels new, clean and fresh with pool and nice workout room. It is very pet friendly - we don't have a dog but it's very accommodating for your pet. So why not 5 stars? The breakfast is really subpar and multiple times I came down with no to go coffee cups and the "gourmet" coffee was out. Once - ok - but 3 times at different times? That's a pattern. They had these prefab omelettes that made a Starbucks prefab breakfast sandwich look gourmet. It's included in your room charge but honestly, I got one cup of coffee and a banana out of it after four days. Also, being charged $5 for a Sprite at their "market" felt a little gouge worthy. All in all, I would recommend this spot for anyone visiting Elko - esp. with a dog. It's close to I80 so easy on and easy off and located on the northeast part of Elko so you're close to anywhere you might want to go in Elko. read more

I was really happy with this hotel. I was traveling on a solo road trip from Nevada to Oregon and back, and I stopped in Elko for the night. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt totally safe here. There's ample free parking and the lot was well-lit. The hotel is located in a little hotel park, with lots of other properties right around. There's a Winger's restaurant within walking distance, and lots of shops and fast food places a short drive down the road. The property felt modern and new, and my room was very clean. I love Home2Suites because they're set up for extended stays, like a small apartment. I loved the large workspace and the full size refrigerator. I was able to freeze a couple of water bottles to stick in my cooler to take down the road the next morning. I also loved the a/c unit. I was able to get my room frigid cold, and it was glorious! The water pressure was good too. This hotel has an indoor swimming pool and a laundry room where guests can wash clothes for free. They also allow pets, and there were quite a few cute dogs on my floor. The staff was good, and I was cheerfully welcomed as a Hilton Diamond member upon checkin. I was not given an upgrade, however. I don't usually eat breakfast but I checked out their complimentary breakfast bar before I left, and it was so gross I opted not to partake. There's a make your own waffle machine, but the area was pretty dirty. The other options were nasty looking, like microwaved egg sandwiches. I'd stay here again if I happened to be in the area. I travel for work a lot and have gold status with Hilton. I try to stay at Hilton properties often as they are predictable and consistent for work related travel. I choose the Home2 suites over the Hampton in Elko every time because the service is immaculate. The property is newer, and the rooms are bright and very clean. Service stuff is so kind and the breakfast is balanced. I often asking if I can check in early and I've never been given trouble about this. They have a fully stocked kitchen at that makes cooking dinner in the hotel possible. They also allow pets and are very understanding and accommodating to pet owners. This hotel was amazing. It exceeded all my expectations. We came in fairly late in the evening, and clearly, there had been an emergency as there were EMTs with a stretcher in the lobby. Despite this, we were quickly helped, and the person behind the desk was so friendly. I honestly wish I remembered her name because she was so kind and helpful. The breakfast was good, and I didn't have to wait at all to make a waffle. I also appreciate that I had oatmeal as we went there to do a lot of hiking, so it was good to get some protein in the mornings. Honestly, we very much enjoyed our time at Elko. I was not pleased with this hotel. I've stayed in worse, but considering this is Home2 Suites I expected much better than this. The room was large...we had a suite. It was somewhat dated and didn't feel clean. This could be because our bed was full of dog hair. It was ridiculous. I have a dog of my own that sleeps on the bed with me every night, so I understand that when dogs sleep on a bed, hair is inevitable. But when I am paying almost $200 per night and it's not my dog's hair, it's unacceptable. My bed at home has less dog hair than this hotel room bed. I guarantee you the housekeeper didn't change the sheets. I will never stay here again. Next time I'm in Elko, I'll choose a different hotel. read more

We reserved two rooms via Hotels.com prior to arriving. Upon arrival we were told the rooms TV's were not working and they were trying to get us rooms. The manager said she would give us a price break but since we booked through a third party she couldn't. On of the rooms was above the pool equipment and the room was subjected to loud machine noises all night. The other room was infested with black flies. I killed a dozen flies and went downstairs to talk to the manager. I was told they couldn't do anything because we booked through a third party but they would put notes on our room to aid in a refund. We obviously survived the night and after several days of dealing with Hotels.com they told us the hotel stated they upgraded our rooms so we weren't eligible for a credit. So the hotel was kinda nasty (I hate flies) and don't book through hotels.com. read more

Clean and quiet, and certainly affordable. We only stayed here one night, but the room was set up with a kitchenette (cups, plates, utensils, huge fridge and microwave, etc). The breakfast was good and better than what you'd find at a Hampton Inn or similar. The breakfast burritos/sandwiches were a really nice touch, though I wish they'd offer a vegetarian option. Staff was super friendly. FYI, there's a gas station / convenience store right across the parking lot if you need anything like snacks, drinks, etc. read more

Amazing, Elko Nevada, has grown so much since the last time we drove through here. We stopped here on the way through to Reno. This hotel is only three months old, an absolutely wonderful. Of course, since it is brand new, everything is spotless. Lady at the front desk, I forgot to get her name, darn it, was awesome. Very welcoming, and we chatted about how much Elko has grown with all the mines around. My only wish was to stay a few days instead of one night as it was great. BEWARE: this hotel has a practice of not honoring room reservations. You will be put in the room they want to put you in, no matter what you booked ahead of time. BEWARE: this hotel's Covid safety practices are insufficient (more on this below) Where do I even start with this hotel? We booked a 1 bedroom suite 2 weeks prior to our arrival on the Home2 Suites / Hilton website. We needed a separate bedroom with a door that closed for my special needs child. Upon arrival, we were given room keys, hauled all of our stuff up to our room, only to find that we had been given the lowest level room - a queen studio with a half vinyl curtain separating the bed from the sitting area. I called the front desk and was told that they were completely sold out and that the room we reserved wasn't available because the current occupants had asked to extend their stay 3 days prior. They gave them our room, and didn't call us to let us know they would not have the room we booked. I was told that I should have called the hotel that morning to ask if the room I booked on their website would actually be available. She said most people do that. Nice gas-lighting. Who double checks CONFIRMED online reservations by phone in 2020? I asked for assistance finding a 1 bedroom suite at another hotel that would meet my family's needs. I wanted them to cover any price difference that resulted from the last minute booking. This was unsuccessful, and we had to stay the night. As compensation, I was offered a $45 discount off the rack rate of the crappy room they gave us, which amounted to more than the rate I had locked in two weeks prior on a better room. We had a terrible night's sleep. At checkout, I asked to speak with the hotel manager, Carrie Massie. She acted like our situation happened all the time, that Hilton always allows guests to extend their stays in rooms booked by other people. Talked to me in a very condescending way, saying matter-of-factly: 'You got bumped." Berated me for upsetting her front-desk person with my reaction to her gas-lighting. Even as she comped me for the room, she didn't choose to be gracious. She said "I'm going to just comp you for the room because I don't want to deal with this." So I walked out feeling blamed for their mistake, and not at all valued as a customer. I received an email message from Carrie Massie the next day after I filled out a satisfaction survey, and along with form letter statements like, "As a Hilton Honors member, you are among our most valued guests. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and we're very sorry you were unhappy" she attacked me for not accepting any of the "solutions" she offered AT CHECK OUT and for being in a bad mood when I had arrived at the hotel - at which time she was not present. Also: be warned that this hotel has not implemented sufficient safety standards with regards to the pandemic. The front desk staff had her mask hanging below her nose most of the time I was standing across from her. There were no glass or plexi shields installed at the front desk to provide protection for customers and staff, as I have seen in many other hotel chains. There was no hand sanitizer at the front desk until I asked for it. The bed skirts and bedspreads were not removed from the beds. When I wiped the place down with lysol wipes, I found a lot of dust and dirt on hard surfaces which their special Covid cleaning policy said they wiped between all guests. The small bottle of dish soap was half-used. The tub had dirt in it. Worst experience with a hotel in my life, and I used to travel a lot for work. read more

I booked a 1 queen bed 1 bedroom suite. A suite. With a door between the bedroom and the living space- where a pullout couch and kitchenette would be. Was traveling with two kids so the closed door was a necessity. They put me in a normal small 1 bedroom Queen. When I got to the room I realized a mistake had been made- so I checked my booking info and yup, sure enough, I had booked a full suite- with separate living area. I went to the front desk and asked about it and they said "that's how all our suites are. We don't have one bedroom suites"... at Home2Suites? I showed them my email with the original booking and after some discussion they found a room that I had originally booked and "upgraded" me. The room was dirty, outdated, and the couch was fraying and disgusting. There were ants in the bathroom and stains on the floors. I filled out the review your stay email that came, and explained all these issues. The general manager then emailed me to tell me I was wrong- that I hadn't booked a one bedroom suite. Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and pretty well kept. The suite was fully equipped with an apartment size fridge, dishes, dishwasher, microwave and decent sized sink. The bed was decently comfy, as were the sofa and chairs. We also were able to keep our cat in the room with us and we had plenty of room for baby's pack n' play. Disappointed in a few things though. Someone in housekeeping wasn't wearing their mask, smokers were hanging right in front of the door (very frustrating for us as we had to walk baby through that crap), parking is tight / definitely not enough when hotel is at capacity, shower stall only, and the paint was peeling from the bathroom ceiling. read more

The breakfast was way better than some other hotels I have stayed at recently during this not so fun pandemic. I see this hotel looks like it has had some bad reviews along with some back up photos. I can only speak about our stay though and it was excellent. We had our dog with us and the room we got was excellent. Clean, absolutely no smells which can happen when you get pet friendly rooms. The placed us near an exit on the bottom floor for easy access to take the dog out. It had a full apartment size kitchenette to include all the dishes you would need, fridge, full microwave, dishwasher etc... large shower and very clean. I would stay here again. Oh and the price is definitely right for what you get. read more

Home@ Suites in Elko offers a great, comfortable place to stay for a great price. I recently stayed there for my daughter's wedding and Sarah the Director of Sales could not have been more helpful. As happens with events, the guest list changed several times and each time the changes were made correctly. I really liked that Home2 Suites offered common areas for the family to gather outside of our rooms. Further, the complementary breakfast was very good, with options for everyone. Room was clean, sufficiently large, had a sofa, desk, and kitchenette. It was so convenient to have the small kitchenette during covid times. A "to go" breakfast was provided from which you could select apples/oranges, an egg biscuit, bagels, etc. One downside was the sliding bathroom door which slams at the end of the slide. We were traveling from Yellowstone NP to Tahoe with our pet so this was a convenient place to stop and spend the night. The hotel is right off the freeway. I was not aware that it has a full-kitchen function. Everything you need is there (microwave, dishwasher, utensils, dinnerware, spatulas, etc...). We didn't use the kitchen at all, but it looks like you can borrow a portable cooktop from the hotel. The hotel has a complimentary laundry room; all you need is laundry soap (which they sell here). Breakfast had a variety of items: hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, breakfast sandwiches, bread, bagels, cereal and a waffle maker. The room was very clean, and we were pleasantly surprised. It had a queen bed and a sofa bed. We stayed in a pet-friendly room on the first floor. The sofa bed was a little worn out and not very comfortable to sleep in. There is a restaurant and a gas station across the street. A few blocks under the freeway overpass, there are more restaurants and stores. read more

Your typical Home 2 Suites experience except for the Covid risks. The hotel was sold out. Nevada does not require consumers to wear masks, only merchants. Many guests were without masks and because it was sold out, it we waited for sometime for an elevator just for us. We ended up using the stairs throughout the visit. The breakfast area was very crowded and the set up allowed for unnecessary touching if for example coffee cups and lids. Our room did not have hot water in the morning. When we called the front desk they mentioned this happens because of the eco friendly system. Well, hot water is really needed during these times to wash hands. The staff were wonderful. They are doing their very best dealing with a difficult situation. read more
