Clean comfortable room and friendly staff. Just what a couple of hikers would want after a long day on the trail. Incredibly comfortable bed. I've stayed in a bunch of independent, small town motels during my outdoor adventures, and this one is among the best I've ever enjoyed. It is not the Ritz-Carlton but for what it is, it's great. They had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and microwave in the room. There's also a portable air conditioner which I didn't bother to learn how to use. It's a short walk both from a grocery store sporting goods outfitter, and a couple of restaurants. I paid $190 for the room, which some people might think is a little pricey but was completely in line with all the other hotels in town. It makes sense considering it was high tourist season and this is the closest town to one of the national parks entrances. read more

Close to the southern edge of town, most of this motel looks pretty old, but they gave us a room in their new building, a two story place. Our ground room floor was pretty nice. It had two queen beds and laminate flooring. The fridge was pretty large and a microwave sat on top. Next to it was a desk. The room had a massive TV, although it was mounted kinda high. The room was very spacious. At first glance the place was really nice, but looking closer there were some things that could have been improved. The in-room air unit didn't fit properly, there were some gaps around the edges that weren't sealed. Also the faucet in the bathroom was very loose. Overall, the stay wasn't bad, although the people upstairs were really loud and the ceilings, floors did not buffer the sound much. If you can get a room in their new building it would be worth it to stay here. read more

Classic old school motel conveniently located near the grocery store and a couple of my favorite restaurants in Forks. While admittedly not modern or fancy, it is good, clean, solid accommodation for someone spending a few days in the area. And the owner (whose name I failed to get) is a good guy who seems very invested in his property. Will stay again my next time in town. read more

This isn't a bad motel.. it's ok. If the price was reasonable they'd be getting a reasonable review. However, $250 for one night in a room you expect a little bit more. Before you decide to book a room here, do yourself a favor..... DON'T DO IT! The room itself was dirty, there were stains on two of the bedspreads/sheet sets on the beds in the room (but hey, 2 out of 4 isn't bad, right?), the shower insert was peeling off of the bathroom wall so badly there were trim pieces nailing it in place, and the dishes provided in the kitchenette were wet and smelled musty. When my husband went to go and talk to the guy at the desk, they would not issue a full refund because we had been in the room for 45 minutes! Don't ruin your trip with a stay at this motel! I decided to do a last minute getaway with my family and when using booking.com and Expedia it showed this and one other motel available and everything else was sold out. So I choose here...which I would soon regret. Our first room we went into reeked of Lysol, mold and possibly raid. I'm traveling with my 3 boys ages, 10,6 & 3. My three year old instantly said stink and covered his nose. It was bad. So we went and asked for another room, which was much smaller for my family of 5 but the smell wasn't as bad. I felt like I had to stay here because there was nothing else available and after exploring found that there were other hotels with vacancies. The place is rundown, the water in the sink wasn't going down, there was stains on the sheets. Gosh, I could go on and on but I'll just leave it at; skip this place. If you're desperate, bring blankets for your car because I can guarantee it would be better. I did give it a 2 star because the young gal working in the office was sweet and tried to be helpful. read more

Small but adorable hotel in town , I think it's family owned , based on old reviews we were a little worried , think they revamped it , once we got there , they made us feel like home , check in was easy and they were very friendly and gave us lots of info of the area .. close to Rialto beach and town .. it is a older hotel but very clean nice size rooms , and good price to lay your head for the night , beds were comfy and we had a micro oven and fridge in our room too !! Didn't use the Tv. Meet some nice travelers and hikers from Spain and Russia .. it's not a Marriott but you'll feel safe and cozy here, that's important for two ladies traveling, we will come back !! read more

I was worried seeing the reviews and this is my first time staying in a motel but we were in a budget so chose this one. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. Space was okay. A sitting area and 2 bedrooms with kitchen and a bathroom. Don't expect too much but it has all bare minimum. There was a mosquito in one of the bed rooms and the bedsheet wasn't super clean. There are parking spaces marked with room numbers. But either front desk didn't mention it to customers or customers didn't think it's necessary to follow that so the parking infront of our room was already taken and we had to park a little far. $124 on Priceline. That's nuts. I didn't hate the room. The bed was clean and so was the bathroom, but the kitchen was gross. Paint chipping away of the cabinets and tin foil covering the stove burners. They also started doing very loud renovations to the roof at 8am! This place needs A LOT of work, and in the meantime, it's bad business to charge as much as they do. They would get a better review from me if they charged $80, even though The room was worth $60 at most. read more

The room we stayed in had a horrible smell, things were falling apart, there was garbage still in and around the garbage can from the last people who stayed in our room, a bed had some type of crumbs in it and it just didn't feel right. Parts of the ceiling and floor were missing and the carpet in the room felt like it had never been cleaned. The refrigerator and freezer were in inconvenient places and had some sort of sticky substance on the top of it. However, our room had three full size beds and most motels do not provide that. If you can find a different motel you should probably take a look at that first and make this your last option. read more

This motel left a bit to be desired. We stayed during a recent hiking trip in Olympic. Upon walking into our room, I smelled a musty smell mixed with that carpet cleaning powder and maybe some bleach. I opened the window (which looks out into the parking lot and is exactly level with it) and immediately had smoke waft in through said window because the smoking area is right outside the door. The walls are very thin, which resulted in listening to our resident smoker coughing all night. I would not revisit. read more

First, being a girl from the era of typically only road side motels as options, I had a reasonable expectation of what a roadside motel experience would be. My first unreasonable expectation is that we would be here quicker than we were. Be prepared for a very long drive from Seattle International Airport, it will take all of the time the GPS states that it will take. I expected to be at the motel by 9pm but didn't make it until 10:30pm, after a very enchanting drive during the "twilight" hours. I called ahead to make sure the owner knew we were coming. It was a prepaid $130.00 reservation on Booking.com, but I wanted to make sure our room was still there. The owner was awesome and said if the office door was locked to call him and he would come to check us in. When we arrived he was still up and said we were not the last guests arriving. Exhausted and ready for a room to watch Twilight w my daughter, we were able to park right in front of the door, which was nice as it was drizzling. (This is an actual rainforest area). Room 110 was unexpectedly clean, quiet, spacious and accommodating! Three queen beds, a nice dining table with four chairs, super big new fridge, microwave, big screen tv, bath w shower. The only reason I am not giving five stars is because the shower faucet was very hard to adjust for temperature, as it needs to be tightened, but the shower experience was still fine. I commend the owners on their updating. Our room could have easily accommodated a much larger family for a much longer visit had we had the time. Beds were firm and fine. Wifi was fine. As long as guests understand what a roadside motel is, they should be very satisfied! read more

This hotel had the cheapest rate, by far of any of the local hotels we looked at ($68 per night, versus $100+ at the other local hotels). Let me put it like this...it's old. I mean, old as in 1950s. It's your typical motel. The fixtures are outdated, the rooms are decorated in faded shabby chic which appalled my son and boyfriend, and you will probably here some degree of noise from neighboring rooms and the parking lot. You also can't adjust the temperature/fan settings. And, in our case, the bathroom looked really dated and pretty janky. But, having said that...the room smelled super clean, which is a major feat in a facility this old. The furnishings are, as I said, shabby chic, which means faded pink quilts, lots of pillows on the beds, and bed skirts. Very cutesy 1990s. The beds are comfortable, the sheets smell freshly washed, the thread count on the sheets is above average (which makes for comfortable sleeping), and again, the room is super clean. That counts for a lot with me. There is also a large and incredibly pretty garden in the center court of the hotel, inhabited by birds, hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees that you get to enjoy free of charge. The garden alone is worth staying here for. I found the owner (Ms. Bagby) very welcoming and gracious, and we enjoyed our one-night stay at this hotel. read more

The worst experience ever. We booked on Expedia expecting a place that seemed safe. When we pulled up to the Town Motel the roof was missing from most of the building. There were also quite a few people milling around. Immediately we started to feel like something was not right. When we spoke to the manager he was very verbally aggressive and unwilling to work with us. It was starting to feel Like an episode of Law and oeder. Overall the worst customer service I have ever had. It completely ruined our Forks experience. We urge that you find somewhere else to stay, for your own Safty do not stay here!! Camp out instead! This motel is absolutely AWFUL. Our reservation, made months ago, ended up being which they are breaking up and resurfacing the parking area. Although Town Motel AND BOOKING.com had our contact info, neither made ANY effort to alert us. so when we showed up after dark for our pre-paid room, we encountered oversized construction trucks in our parking area and heaps of black rocks. Sign inside office says construction starts at 7:30 am....nice lady in Office said we would NOT be disturbed by noise or equipment, as it was in the adjoining parking lot. Negatory... the men starting talking and gearing up their diesel engines around 7 am. one large construction truck was right behind my car -- i could NOT have backed out of my parking spot. The door to our bedroom could not shut completely...... hand smudges on the inside of the door. and the TV NEVER connected with the satellite....we were tired and wanted the evening news, but the monitor kept saying "this will resolve in 5 minutes" but never did....we had ZERO TV access. I set forth each of these complaints to the nice young man in the Office as we left earlier than we had planned the next morning. He tried to dismiss each of my claims and told me if we'd called them (10 pm) he likely could have resolved the TV issue within 10 minutes.....maybe so, but guests was the TV to work immediately and not have people tramping through their room when they are trying to unwind. For $107, this was a $40 room at best. It is unethical to not notify those with paid-in-advance reservations of repairs that will definitely shortchange their stay. i have camped in many campsites with very rudimentary facilities, but i honestly wished for that. I loved this hotel! It isnt a fancy shmancy place, but it isn't supposed to be! Its affordable and clean. I loved the small cozy vibe and the beds were soft and comfortable. Although the traditional key was different than the new modern chip card im used to with newer hotels/motels, i still felt very safe staying here! It is family owned and operated and the family is very sweet! My sister and I stumbled in VERY late at night in September, without a reservation! While passing through town and thankfully the manager and his son were able to rent us a room, Despite it being after hours and we really really appreciated it. The other verrryyy few hotels in town were all booked and the grander hotels further away were just way to pricey for us. If the owner hadnt been awake at that late hour we wouldve had to stay in the car, or driven way north 100 miles or south 60 miles. There was local cable, parking was easy, and toilet paper. What more could two travelers ask for? Everything was tidy, and the next morning we tried the coffee spot down the road as to the managers reccomendation. whenever i visit Forks and the nearby Rainforest, I will be staying at this roadside motel read more

I booked this hotel for $100/night...I mean how bad can a $100/night room be, right? This room should be $50 MAX. It was so small, old, and the bathroom shower floor had black marks (old or mold?). My family of 3 larger adults could not stay. We had to leave and find another hotel. We found a much better hotel room for the same price. But...Town Motel still charged my credit card. We stayed here for (2) nights in June 2019. We were doing some local hiking & sightseeing in this area, as it's close to the Olympic National Forest and the beautiful Rialto Beach. Unfortunately, the MAIN reason we booked this motel was to have the built-in kitchenette their website falsely advertised (their main road sign also advertises rooms with kitchenettes) as we wanted to economize by eating meals there. Our room only contained a mini-fridge & very small microwave. When we spoke to the Owner/Mgr about the lack of a kitchenette in our room we'd expected, he had "every excuse in the book", & told us to "read the fine print", which is totally unacceptable & false advertising. The Owner also claimed our $150/night fee was fair & reasonable for summer rates, but we felt it was way overpriced for what was included, & compared to other comparable motels we've stayed at. We ended up staying both nights, as other accommodations were limited at such short notice, & it was likely we wouldn't be able to get a refund. Also, as noted with other reviews', their air conditioning unit is sub-par, and hard to operate properly. Additionally, the bathroom fan is extremely loud & stays on as long as the bathroom light is turned on - the bathtub is so small, only a small child could fit into it, & their cable TV system is outdated & takes a long time to set up each time you turn on the TV. The most positive thing was the motel rooms appear to have been recently renovated, and our room seemed clean, & the (2) beds were fine. Look elsewhere if you plan on staying in this area. read more

If you don't mind forking out 25-30 more dollars a night you can find much better accommodations just down the road, But if your looking for the least expensive place to stay over night in Forks then this place is the place for you. However as with most things you really do get what you pay for and I'll explain why. I did want to add that my stay at this place was my reason for joining YELP........ ~There is not a whole lot of great over night experiences in Forks, WA. But some advice is if you chose this place, stay on the side of the street that the lobby is on. We had to stay for more than a week, so the owner really wanted us to move to the other side. They offer kitchen rooms on the lobby side but for some reason she really didn't want to rent us that room. She told me if I wanted to stay on the lobby side she wouldn't give me the weekly rate. (meaning she would raise the rate unless we stayed across the street). After I took a look around across the street I really didn't want too stay over there and when the owner found out she made it clear that she didn't have time too deal with me. Matter of fact her exact words were "I am leaving for California tomorrow, I don't have time to deal with you right now". We felt backed into a corner so we did move across the street to the "cabin". There was more than one cabin but the one next door to ours was burnt down, but all the mess from the fire is just sitting over there. There were birds living not under the eves but actually in the ceiling of the entry way to the "cabin". The floor had rotted out in some spots but instead of fixing the floor they just threw carpet over it. So when you walked in there were a bunch of soft spots in the flooring. The hot water stopped working and didn't get fixed so we had none for more than 2 days. The outlets in the Bedroom didn't work well at all, and after seeing how old and damaged the outlets were there is no wonder the "cabin" next to ours burnt to a crisp. The fuses too the "cabin" blew constantly. There were no real blinds in the bedroom either, just a decorative curtain which offered no real privacy. It wouldn't have been a huge deal but this so called "cabin" is right on the main hwy. I only have one really nice thing to say about this place, and its that the cleaning ladies are GREAT. They did a wonderful job making sure we had fresh towels and linens. The cleaning women here are really wonderful. Also, the first week we stayed we had a room with no kitchen and too be honest we both thought the motel was kinda charming. Very old but it gave it that charm. But like I said before after that first week everything got really bad, from being pushed into the cabin across the street too one thing after another. I wouldn't be this upset over our stay had the owner not made that comment that she didn't have time to deal with me. She should have considered that I am a guest and I was paying to be there. It still ended up costing something like 300-350 for a week, and the week we spent in the cabin was not worth the cost. ~ However I did think that if your coming to the area to fish and or hunt, then this cabin could actually be perfect for you. You have your own kitchen, carport, and if you don't mind "roughing it" as much as you would "rough it" in a motel then this place would be okay for you. read more

Overpriced and seriously run down. We were first put in a room that smelled strongly of mold and mildew when we entered. Thinking that with the fan on the smell would dissipate, we took a quick nap, and I woke to find the smell even worse. Looking around, I realized the walls and ceiling near the bathroom showed signs of heavy water damage. I went and spoke to the manager, and after some conversation (they first suggested they give me a spray to cover the odor) they agreed to move us to another room. No mildew smell there. However, I noticed they put the next arrivals right back into the room we had left. The new room was still dark and dingy, and the shower backed up and overflowed onto the floor within a couple of minutes. The bed was uncomfortable as well. We got up early and got out of there as quickly as we could. read more

We had a terrible experience at the Town Motel!! We arrived for our booking and found the hotel to be extremely dated and felt unsafe staying there or leaving any of our belongings in the room. We found a beautiful hotel down the road for a similar price so we asked the front desk if we could cancel our reservation, offering to pay a cancellation fee for the inconvenience. We were informed that a manager would decide the next day. The following day we were told we had been charged FULL price ($170) for the room that we never stayed in and had tried to cancel the night before. I'm only giving this Motel one star because I can't give it half a star or a quarter. It was by far of the nastiest grossest motel I've ever stayed at. Don't be fooled by the sites that give you 4.2 stars or five stars for this Motel I tried to give it a one-star and it actually calculated out at 4.2. there's no way to control the moisture in the room they don't have any ventilation no ceiling fan in the bathroom no air conditioning unless you consider air conditioning a box fan in the window. There's water damage in the ceiling that needs to be repaired where the ceiling is coming apart the linoleum on the bathroom floor also lines the shower walls which is coming off and is moldy. The only thing I can really tell you is that I picked this hotel it was the absolute last room and forks and having done that I will tell you do not pick this Motel even if it's the last room in Forks. Go camping maybe sleep in the car? It's my real opinion that the owner should just tear the whole place down and start over possibly get a bunch of campers and line them up he would be far better than what you're going to experience if you choose to stay there. I don't think this is really issue for management as they were nice and did the best job they could with what they have but that's the nicest thing I can say. read more

Absolutely perfect for our overnight stay. Great price for what you get. Basic but very clean with great service. Free WiFi and premium satellite channels. Hot water, decent coffee in the room. When we had problems with the tv the owner came right to the room to make sure we got it running. They are currently redoing the roof so the parking lot is congested but still easy. Little garden gazebo was nice for a glass of wine before bed. Can't beat what you're getting for this price! read more

We were tired, cranky, and.... tired. I was NOT in the mood for roughing it in a roadside motel with who knows what waiting for me behind the traditionally keyed door. Surprise! The Town Motel was darling! Our room could have slept another family our size without anyone feeling crowded, the bathroom had everything I needed to bathe and groom two kids needing to get to bed, and there were lots of amenities we would have loved to use if our stay had been longer. The inn keeper checked us in and was so gracious and welcoming. They've gotten a great start on renovations. Can't wait to come back and see the finished product! This little motel is the last one on highway 101 as you're headed South out of town toward the Hoh Rainforest. I had been looking for an inexpensive overnight option out there because it's a 4-hour drive from Seattle and staying in the area opens up more day hiking possibilities. As far as the motel goes, it's nothing fancy and needs a remodel but hey, we're talking about Forks, and everything else in that town runs $30-70 more a night. Price counts a lot for me. The exterior is well kept despite being so dated - flowers everywhere and a garden. I rented a room with two beds but there was also a day bed so you could easily have 3+ to a room comfortably. I'm a light sleeper but did not have problems with noise, other than the truck parked outside our room that revved up at 8 am. The mattresses were old but on the softer side so that was not a problem for me. If you prefer a firm mattress you might be disappointed. They have an activities room with a microwave, coffeemaker and washer/dryer which could definitely come in handy though I did not use them. PROS: Price is right for budget travelers, with some amenities if needed. Fairly comfortable and clean. Feels homey. CONS: Parking right outside window. Would've preferred coffeemaker in room. Shower water pressure was weak. Something in the bedding smelled slightly musty but couldn't identify the source. Would've preferred being able to book online instead of phone call. All things considered, I felt like I got a good deal and would stay here again. read more

What a delightful find after spending a day exploring the rain forest. We had not made a reservation but decided to be adventurous, not make advance reservations, and stay where we ended up when we could go no further. We actually passed this motel at first, in the fading light you couldn't see all the flowers, but everything else was filling up fast so we came back. There were 3 of us traveling together. I let the others go in and thought we would have to settle for whatever came out of this. But we were pleasantly surprised! The room was clean, quaint and charmingly decorated! They had a room all ready with 3 beds, something we had to request the throughout our travel in WA. Each room's exterior had a love seat under the window and a hanging plant. Our room was decorated with matching pink rosebud quilts, lace curtains and a vase of fresh flowers! It is not a brand spanking new hotel but was so quaint and comfortable we felt at home immediately. It was very quiet, and there was also a garden to walk through or sit and admire. The room had free wi-fi and tv. The reasons I don't give it a 5 are minor to me but include, 1) the bathroom could have used a new sink though everything worked. (a little rust around the drain), 2)There was an odor when we first arrived, as if the flooring in the bathroom had just been replaced but disappeared after we opened windows. (not sure if there was AC but don't know if it's needed in that area, and we felt safe sleeping with the windows open). 3) there was no phone but that wasn't a problem since we all had cell phones if we needed to make calls, and 4) there was no 'continental breakfast'. But after suffering through a couple of days of those prepackaged breakfast offerings at other hotels, the recommendation to go to the cafe down the road was not only exactly what we needed but easy to access. No, there's not much to do in Forks, but if you are traveling through and need a place for the night, make sure you try out Bagby's! The room rate was under $70 a bargain find! read more

We are currently driving away from the Town Motel after this travelers' nightmare of an evening. The official check in time for the Town Motel is until 11pm (stated in the confirmation email and everything), and given the lack of cell coverage in the surrounding Olympic National Park area we were unable to answer the call from Town Motel at 9pm asking when we were going to arrive. We were in the middle of driving to the motel after getting out of dinner in the nearest town of similar size 90 minutes away (Port Angeles). We arrive at the Town Motel at 10:15pm (exhausted after a 5 day backpacking trip too), to find they had given away our room! This town has literally zero rooms available! I can just imagine the owner doing the calculation of how much money he could make, claiming we canceled (and getting the 'cancellation' fee) while simultaneously charging an arm and a leg for a room that travelers are desperate to reserve in this town with zero vacancies right next to Olympic NP. He tried to use a real sleazy excuse too, saying that because he had my number on caller ID from a call this morning that it proved that I had cancelled - in actuality I confirmed our reservation in that call! He lied right to my face to justify it! Not to mention, if we had canceled, why would he call us at 9pm to ask when we were arriving? Anyways, reserve this hotel at your own risk. If you plan on arriving late on a busy summer weekend, I would recommend going somewhere else. Otherwise you may end up like us- driving exhausted in the middle of the night on a windy road through a forest with no cell service to a town 90 mile minutes away in the hopes that we'll find a vacancy. read more

Clean, had vacancy and allowed pets. The outside looks pretty run down and the rooms need updating.

This motel is one of the cheapest avalible in this town where everything is expensive. The cleanliness wasn't bad, but the price was still really high for the incedibly old and basic room that we recieved. There was free wifi (with really strong signal), which is always a plus, but no breakfast, and worst of all, no AC. The walls are thin, the noise seeps in from the outdoors, and the curtain dosn't even cover the entire window. It works as a last resort, but if you're booking a hotel room it's worth it to pay an extra 20-30 dollars and go elsewhere. read more

Terrible!!!!!! No hot water and remodeling materials all over the place. Went to complain about lack of hot water and office was closed. No after hours number posted. Went to check out and told manager about situation and they wouldn't refund or give a free stay. Definitely, a no stay. Your time and money will be better spent elsewhere. read more

This town didn't have much to offer in terms of hotel accommodations to begin with, and so I booked a room here as a last resort. I picked up a key when I arrived, the lady at the front desk was very nice, and was given a room on the back side of the motel. As I drove around I could see paint stripped off of the lobby, piles of wood laying in the grass, and a toilet seat sitting outside one of the rooms. As soon as I opened the door to the room I wish I hadn't; it smelled like old cigarette smoke and the bathroom looked like it was mid construction. My boyfriend and I liked the fact that we were able to park our motorcycles in front of the window, but we decided that we would push on and ride further to find a better place to stay. We explained our situation to the lady and asked if there was any way to get a refund, she shook her head and kindly said no. I didn't push too hard for a refund because I understand why I didn't technically deserve a refund, but it would have been nice. No tears shed, we didn't lose too much money anyways! read more
