Came here to resize my ring and met Hamid. What a nice guy who is really experienced in his work. He was really thorough in explaining the process, any risks, and other services. While I was there, other clients came in and you can tell Hamid and co. have great relationships with all their clients. They spoke fondly with each other and these guys really care for their clients. They have in-house watches, wedding jewelry, non-wedding jewelry, and vintage jewelry. I feel like I can't give a truly accurate review here without sounding hyperbolic, but, that risk aside, Hamid and team provided absolutely superb service to me and went over and beyond the week of my wedding. I would recommend them to anyone over any other jeweler in the DMV; and we will 100% be coming back to work on my fiancé's wedding band and future pieces. I came in four days before the wedding (in the late afternoon) asking for a wedding band and having essentially no clue what I needed. Other places I called were not easy to deal with and required appointments too far into the future for us, or online options that seemed counterproductive. But, within literally 15 minutes of talking to Hamid and looking at rings, I had found exactly what we wanted (material, sizing, style, etc.) and I was reassured that they could get the ring made, including our engraving request, within a couple of days. It was clear that Hamid new exactly what he was doing--and that it pays off to be a fourth generation jeweler and artist in this kind of situation lol. Unbelievably, I got a call the very next morning that they had called in a favor to get the ring made quickly--and, even more incredibly, when I came in to get it, Hamid also gifted me one of their in-house watches as a wedding present. A beautiful watch. It was an exceedingly generous gesture. Moreover, working with them on the ring design was so easy that I suspect anyone could find what they need here no matter the piece or preferences. Also, to make things even more absurd, his wife is a baker and they had delicious fresh cookies--I inhaled two and wish I had more. BLUF: Town Jewelers is an incredible find with talented, generous, and honest staff and a lot of creativity. I was having trouble finding a wedding band that spoke to me. After looking at many stores, I happened in upon Town Jewelers and found a half-twist ring that sparked my interest. When I came back later, Hamid - who remembered my name after just one visit - was very helpful in discussing how we could best match my engagement ring and transparent in the pricing. He also, to my surprise, said he could make the ring - which was hand-twisted - in a matter of days. Lo and behold, just a few days after I ordered, I got a text that the ring was ready. When I arrived, he said he had actually made three rings to ensure that I got a twist that I liked. That kind of generosity is remarkable, and I felt so well taken care of by the team. Plus, now there are two beautiful half-twists that others can go buy! In short, Hamid is remarkably thoughtful and clearly an artist. This family owned business is the best. I've gone to Town Jewlers twice now, the first time was to polish and resize a ring that has a lot of sentimental value. Hamid worked with me so we could figure out where the ring would look best and decided it would pair nicely with another ring I wear every day. Hamid sized the ring so it would fit just above another ring I have, and polished and resized it perfectly so it looks like I have a matching set of rings now. A perfect way to wear a piece of family jewelry, but make it my own! After such a great experience working with Hamid I decided to go back to Town Jewlers. I have a piece of costume jewelry that I absolutely love and wanted to have duplicated into a solid gold piece as it was beginning to wear down. I was hesitant about doing it for years because the process just seemed too daunting, but after such a great initial experience I decided to text Hamid a picture of the original chain and asked him if he thought it would be possible to duplicate. He got back to me right away so I dropped off the original necklace and we talked about what I was looking for, and any changes he could make. He handmade a perfect upgrade from both vintage and recycled gold so the chain is both beautiful and ethical. I literally couldn't have asked for more! The quality of their materials and craftsmanship is top-rate (please see the attached photo) and offers an excellent value. Work is done on the premises and custom jewelry modifications were provided free of charge. Additionally, they are trained in watch-repair and worked on a wristwatch, providing a new battery and band. I recently brought in a pair of earrings that needed repair, and I was really impressed with their service. They explained that I had different options for the repair, some more long-lasting than others, but that it was up to me how to proceed and they could help me with whatever I wanted/needed. I opted for a short-term solution for now, which was also a cheaper option -- I really appreciated that they were honest about my options, and didn't use this as an opportunity to charge me for a more expensive fix. So, so great. I am so sad I didn't know about this amazing place beforehand! I had a small stone fall out of a ring and have been searching for months for a jewelry store to replace but was told time and time again if I didn't purchase it there, they wouldn't help me. Stumbled across Town Jewelers and they were so helpful and nice. Hamid worked on my ring and not only replaced the stone but shanked the band (made it thicker) and resized it for me too. All of this for a very reasonable price. Then he went above and beyond and but a guard on the ring because it was a teennnsssyy bit big but I didn't want to go down in size. Hamid put me at ease by explaining the whole process and then used their ring cutter to remove the ring in just a few minutes. Their new ring cutter had the ring off my finger in about five minutes; pretty impressive for a platinum ring and a hand-powered ring cutter. Hamid was incredibly kind and helpful through the whole process, sharing that this kind of thing happens fairly often and offering me water. He also did a great job explaining and pricing out what it would be like to repair the ring. He never pressured me into using any type of stone of metal, nor did he try to upsell me, but when I said I prefer to use lab-created stones for ethical reasons, he lit up, because he completely agrees.
