Well. Service was great got a decent recommendation for a place to get my windows tinted. And well. I went to go do my brakes today after a month after they balanced and roared my tires. I can't get my lug nuts off without standing on the breaker bar to get the lugs nuts off! I weigh 250lbs! I have to put my whole body weight on it. Now I can't get the 5th lug nuts off. read more

If I could give a -10 I would! Brought my car in to have the tires balanced because the wheel was shaking, they told me they balanced them, didn't charge me. Next day my wheel was still shaking, brought it back in, not only did I get attitude from the people behind the desk, they never "re-balanced" them! The same day i brought my car to Firestone in Branford, not only were they friendly but they actually did the service! They told me Town Fair never balanced my tires because they were really off. So twice I went to Town Fair and they lied both times and told me they did a service of which they never even touched my car! Absolutly discusting, terrible and horrific service. Bought snow tires here last year, and this year needed new rims, so I ordered them in advance from the warehouse and made an appt a week later. I got into the store, and a very pleasant and courteous young fellow named Ryan took care of me. After some waiting, he called me back into the garage to show me that one of the rims they received from the warehouse was bent/damaged (cosmetic damage, really)- right in the box! So I switched my order to other rims (which were less, and I got a refund) and he told me to come in the next day. Of course, Murphy's law, a snow storm hits that night- but they were kind enough to think ahead and mount the snows on the rear for me (since I'm rear-wheel drive)! So nice of them. They certainly didn't have to do that. Then I got in (after shoveling out) and they were slammed, of course, because suddenly everyone in the entire universe wants snows. So I got in, and the warehouse only sent TWO of the 4 newer rims (and they had no more)!!! The warehouse really is pissing me off. Ryan, thinking quickly, had them send several more selections I had expressed interest in the other day, so I could choose from them, and not waste any more time. There was one set I really liked, and they put me at the head of the line. Problem arose: those darned newer new rims just wouldn't fit right! So we decided to go with the originals, and they order a replacement for the one bent rim. It seems fully functional, and the damage is cosmetic- so when I get back from my trip, they'll replace it for me. Now, these were the MORE expensive rims, so he did not charge the extra. Great service. Good people. Nobody perfect, these guys work their asses off, I totally respect that. They have totally earned my loyalty. read more

My car needed 4 new tires.. badly. I was able to call, set up a service appointment, shop the prices and discuss warranties/ guarantees and felt satisfied. The real 5 stars goes to the guys at the actual shop! They got everything done in a timely manner AND went above and beyond when one of my tires got a nail in it not even 8 days later (fml). I would definitely recommend this shop.. tires aren't cheap so don't just go with the shop who charges the least, you get what you pay for. read more

I needed new tires, and the garage I usually go to for all of my car repairs recommended Town Fair Tire. I went through the website to place the tire order, but it must have timed out or something, since I didn't get a confirmation e-mail. Not a big deal, I just called the next day and I was taken care of and got an appointment for two days later. I should point out that you should double check the tire info if you use their "Search by car" feature, for some reason it had different front and back tires listed for my car. I just wound up ordering by tire size. When I got to the shop, they took care of me quickly, got the keys and got started. I had them do the alignment also, since my front tires were severely worn, and they hadn't been rotated periodically like they should have been. All said, it took about 40 minutes for them to finish the job and I was on my way. I've driven it for a few days, so I could see how it does on the highway, and I think they did a pretty great job. It feels very straight, doesn't feel like it's pulling to the side or anything and the tire balance is fine, I don't feel any shaking or anything at any speed. read more

I have always been satisfied with the service. If you have a flat tire, they will either change it or patch it depending on the degree of wear. The service is completed in 1 hour max. I think that they systematically check the parallelism and rotate the tires for free. Price is fair: ~$4 for a patch, ~$90 for a new tire (small sedan). Recommended. read more

1st off as soon as I left I could hear my caliper covers scraping against my right front tire. Imagine a metal baseball card in bicycle spokes. When I went back one of the mechanics walked over with what looked like a metal rod, about 8 inches long. He tries to push it in tells me to drive around e block. Well all I had to do was back up a couple feet and I could still hear it. So they take my car in for an hour come back, and tell me my caliper cover is scraping against the rim. It took them an hour to tell me what I told them an hour ago. Then they tell me they can't touch other parts. ????? What? Those is the 3rd time I changed my tires, and never had this issue, when I went to look I noticed my rims were scratched. Now off been looking at this for 24hrs. Not only do I know for sure the scratch wasn't there, the mechanic lied and said he never touched the wheel. What the liar didn't knows it's I have a camera that was on because the car was still running when he initially came over. I'm not so invested in material items that I have to lie about this. I don't even care about compensation but I will NEVER give this place any business, and I will make sure people know I went to PEP Boys across the street who fixed the problem with no charge. read more

Ty was super helpful- esp. patient with my double checking online offers, etc. Everyone else that I worked with at TFT was ok but didn't seem as pleasant and helpful as Ty (hence the minus 1 star). For example, after I dropped off the car for new winter tires, I called into the office to add a realignment service to the tire exchange- the person I talked with (not Ty) said ok but it ended up not getting done so I had come back another day and was delayed at work b/c of the return- annoying so if you call with a revision to teh order, just make sure that they definitely add it to the order before picking it up. The text message when work's done is nice and TFT's matching other online deals minus shipping is also good. Would recommend- and considering how much nicer Ty was than the other front desk folks- I recommend he get a Christmas bonus...or at least a pat on the back. read more

I went to Town Fair this morning because I ran over a giant pothole and got a bubble in my tire. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with nothing but kindness. Danny helped me out and he was nothing but professional and courteous-even held the door for me as we went out to look at my car. He didn't try to force anything on me, which I really appreciated, because most places like this will try to get you to buy everything, especially if you're a female. The guys here are great; they do good work and are very friendly and do their best to be helpful. However, the booking center regularly overbooks. Today I arrived for an 11 am appointment and they didn't even get started on my car until after 1 pm. The work will be very good when it's finished, but I'm not sure that I'll come back. I'm used to bad experiences when it comes to car repair, but I had a great experience at Town Fair Tire. I had a sidewall blowout, and Town Fair Tire had my tire in stock and for a reasonable price. They set the tire aside for me, and when I came in, they gave me an estimate of 1:05 to get the job done. They actually finished in only 30 minutes. My tires on my car kept on needing air (slow leek, one front tire was worst than the others), so I went to this town fair on my next day off which was Monday. Lucky me, I got one of the worst sales man there named Nick!!! Total moron! I asked to get all four tires replaced since I was told this by town fair in Vernon, CT and since I have a AWD Subaru. He said that not necessary, but ok. So what kind of tires do you want, I said the same ones that are comparable to the ones on the car (all season). So I guess he thought I said the cheapest? idk So I was told to get them align, which now reading up on things I didn't need since my car is AWD. He also told me that there was a two hour wait that day, can you come in another day. I said sure I can come back on Thursday, made a down payment on the tires that he sold me and made an appointment for thursday morning. Came in thursday morning to the SAME sales guy that sold me the tires two days ago and told him I'm here for my appointment to get my new tires on, ok he said lets take a look at your car I need the mileage....I'm like ok, but didn't you already to that on Monday??, I really should have made a big scene by that point but I didn't. So we checked my milage again, then on the way in I said I already put a downpayment on the tires. Oh, let me look it up? He then went to look for my tires (THEY SOLD THEM). So they came out with this thinner tires, and I asked are those for my car they are too thin! I was told they are more expensive tires since we sold you tires. I was ok sure but they don't look like my old ones. My car went in a couple of minutes later... total time there was 90 mins. Now asking some people who know cars... the tires are find. read more

I had no appointment. I came around 11:15am there were only 2 other vehicles in the lot with mine. I was taken care of immediately by a gentleman name Dean. He was knowledgeable, quick and patient. I only needed a flat repair and an alignment. He talked me into a special they had and quoted me $109 out the door. Well, that didn't happen either. I paid upfront and was told it'll be a two hour window wait time. Due to COVID I chose to sit in the car to wait. After 2 hours went by and no one came to get the car I came into the building to find out if there was any delays. Per Dean, he checked with the staff and was told they had already worked on my car and was just waiting to complete the alignment. This infuriated me. I told Dean that was a flat out lie. I took him to my car showed him the tire had been untouched and NOTHING had been done. He grabbed the Manager, Anthony T. After much delay, I was told it was some misplaced computer error and they'd take it right in. I was Not offered any compensation for their error. I didn't mind the wait. I can guarantee you if I were a different race or maybe even a different gender I would've been offered something more than an explanation. I plan to submit a more formal complaint. I'll have to find another location as well! Very disappointed as this has been my goto since I was 16. read more

I came here after a good experience my friend had with getting a tire patched very cheaply. One of my tires had gone mostly bald on the side and then had a spring puncture it through the threads. After learning the tire was in no condition to be patched, I was surprised to find that getting the tire replaced would cost less than I expected! Service was prompt, courteous, and very helpful! I'll start off by saying I received extremely incredible service but the front desk help, particularly a gentleman by the name of Ryan. However, after that the service went downhill and downhill fast. So here is the story: Low pressure light goes on in the car. I notice I need new front tires. Go to town fair. I have the process explained me that the rear tires which were in great condition will be placed on the front and the new tires will be placed on rear. There is a recommended alignment, which I purchased. The car had to be left for the day bc they were extremely busy...that's cool no problem. The total cost $484.64. That evening I go to pick up the car, the low pressure light is still on, I go inside and ask why the light is still on....technician explains I have to drive the car 2 miles at 25mph to reset the computer.....total BS. But I do it.....the light remained on by this its 7 o'clock and town fair is closed. The next morning I go outside to find they never removed the tire that was causing the issue. I race down to town fair speak with Ryan, we watch the security video to discover the tire technician never removed the tire causing the issue. Ryan states it should be a quick fix we'll grab your old tire that was in great shape and put it back on.....one small problem the old used tires were already removed from the facility and they were out of stock on a tire replacement... So I was stranded until a tire could be located the time was 10:00 a tire was located but couldn't be picked up until 3:00. Finally 2:45 comes and my car is ready is ready....I go pick up the light is still on. I speak to a technician he say drive the car and it will reset....I said no it won't. Finally I got someone with some form of common sense and they said the computer needs to be rest, which he did and I was good to go. However, I ask to see if something can be about all the screw up and they were like here is a customer service number.....really?! So I had to talk to them. At 1st they offered a $40.00 refund, I had to laugh. Finally after threatening them with the Better Business Bureau they gave me a refund totally $130.00 for the half assed labor given. My advice stay away this place used to great but with the last 10 years service has gone down hill. Perhaps if the technician did BS and just listen to music in the garage they would focus on their job. I will never return. It's sad bc the the gentlemen running the front are great. read more

I had a great experience with them about a year ago. I had noticed that my tire was shaking, and one of my lug nuts fell off of my car. What I didn't know is that almost all of them were on the verge of falling off. I pulled in and the crew came outside and told me that I needed to get lug nuts in order to have them put on. (The kid at the register was kind of rude, it was snowing and we had to walk to Pep Boys to get them!!) Then later once I got back, the guy who put the lug nuts on yelled at him because they had lug nuts to put on my Jeep but I am pretty sure this kid was new at the store. Anyways, they fixed it for free and made sure all of the lugs were secure. They were friendly and very polite and I always go back there to get my car done. They also allowed me to go back a week later for free, to make sure the lug's were still on properly. Great service. read more

At the Town Fair Tire right now. I had a scheduled appointment with them today at 4PM. I needed a new tire and alignment that was scheduled on Tuesday. I had to reschedule my day as well as my wifes day to meet this Appointment as we have 4 kids and she needs her car to transport them. I show up today and they do not have the tire. Not only was this a waste of my day and my wifes, but they did not have the courtesy to make a proactive call to reschedule. Then Mark stares at me for what seemed like an eternity before I ask him what is our next step? Unbelievable!!! Poor service. NOT HAPPY!!! read more

I love Town Fair Tire and usually never have a problem. However, I made an appointment for 2:30 PM today. Had my car there on time. They didn't get to my car until 3:30 PM. When people make appointments, they plan their day around them. If you tell someone you will have them in at 2:30, get them in at 2:30. Not 3:30. read more

If I could put a lower rating I would. They tore off the hitch I had on the back of the van with the lift and said no we did not, it rusted off. Funny I had just pulled a trailer FULL of wood the same day! When my son purchased front tires he asked for a front end alignment. He paid in full. They then proceeded to say they could not do the alignment until several front end repairs were completed (about $3,000.00). My son told them we would not be doing the repairs as it is a 1997 GMC van. Anthony refused to give him a refund for the alignment saying we could come back for FREE alignment when the repairs were done. Only after I called, spoke with Anthony, and told him we were going to dispute the entire charge with our bank, did he offer a refund. My son traveled there AGAIN so Anthony could issue a refund on his card for the alignment. After calling corporate requesting to see the video of the van in their shop my son had an appointment to view their video van today, which was set up by corporate. When he went their today, at the set time, the person there said he did not have time to show him the video as he had customers to deal with. Funny I thought that's what we were! Very Very sad that they can do such damage and not care!!! We are now dealing with the corporate office so we will see how that goes. read more
