As consumers, we place a great deal of trust in service providers--whether they're doctors,…read moreplumbers, instructors, or contractors. No matter the service, trust is the common denominator. When hiring a contractor for residential renovations, I prioritize not only trust but also key qualifications: a valid license, adequate insurance, positive reviews, a clear and detailed contract, relevant experience in similar projects, and--at the top of my list--strong communication skills. I look for a contractor who listens, is professional and flexible, and hires competent, reliable staff. Monarca General Construction exceeded my expectations in every way. Alex Perez, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. He was patient, attentive, and consistently addressed my questions throughout the project. He also provided valuable recommendations, explaining what would work, what wouldn't, and which materials to avoid. Alex and his team completely remodeled my kitchen and bathroom, repainted both the interior and exterior of my home, installed new light fixtures, replaced a fence, and even cleared an overgrown yard to prepare it for future landscaping. Their workmanship was outstanding, and the results speak for themselves. I am beyond pleased with the outcome, which showcases their skill and dedication to quality. I highly recommend Monarca General Construction for any renovation project--you can trust them to deliver excellent results.

Stay Away!!! I can't give less than 1 star or I would!…read more David is quite charming, don't be fooled, his work is suspect. He did my roof in April 2026 and failed to protect the roof adequately during a rainstorm and I sustained nearly $200,000 of damage to the interior of my home. Fortunately, my insurance is paying, but I will be unable to live in my home for 4-6 months. When he finished the roof, I was concerned about the quality of the roof work, so I hired another roofer to inspect Golden Top's work. The new roofer reported about 10 items that were incorrectly done or below industry standard. Armed with this report, I was able to get Golden Top to fix the items. If I hadn't gotten a new roofer to inspect and report, I never would have known how poor the work was. The worst of these was that Golden Top they had roofing nails penetrating through the exterior eaves all around the perimeter of my home. This is a major source of potential moisture damage. David agreed that is was not up to Industry Standards and agreed to repair it and he did. But he did a crappy job, and when I told him I was not satisfied, his comment to me was, "well, we are not painters. If you want to hire a painter to fix it, you can, but I am not paying for it." See photo of my finished eaves below - crappy paint job and left bare unpainted wood. All this and the roof and gutters with guards cost me over $90,000!!!!! You have been warned.
