We had a great experience with Brentwood Flooring America - Cary. From the moment we walked into…read morethe showroom, Elvedina (Dina) was warm and welcoming. She helped us with getting new carpet for our house. There was no sales pressure at all, which we greatly appreciated. Dina let us take several samples home to see what would look best in our lighting. She provided an estimate for the work very quickly, estimate looked good, we decided to move forward and she kept us informed of progress on when the carpet would be ready for installation. Scheduling and installation went smoothly and the team completed the entire upstairs of our house in one day. For those looking for new carpet, be warned that old carpet being removed and new carpet getting installed will have a ton of fiber dust that will cause a lot of dust floating in your house. We were told this ahead of time and we blocked off rooms with plastic in the door frames to keep those rooms as clean as possible. Overall, we are very happy with the experience and service we received. We highly recommend Brentwood Flooring in Cary - go see Elvedina (Dina).

He arranged 0% financing and scheduled installation. The installers arrived as scheduled, did a thorough job and cleaned up after themselves. We enjoyed the carpet for 3 years and it still looked as good as the day it was installed. When we bought a new house that needed carpets, of course, we called Wes and for a second time everything went very well! I even like the new carpet Wes suggested even better now that it is installed than I did when I saw the sample.

What a wonderful experience, working with Floor Coverings International of Cary! We just had…read moreLuxury Vinyl Planking installed in four rooms that previously had carpeting, and we could not be more pleased with the finished product. But even better than the floors themselves was the incredible service. From the initial contact with owner Marty -- genuinely one of the nicest guys you will EVER meet -- to the professionalism and efficiency of his crew, the whole process was smooth as silk. The crew are all great guys, pleasant to interact with. Marty and his associate Mark have been working together for decades, and it shows. They came out one day and took measurements and showed floor samples, then once the materials came in, the entire job took only two days. When these guys say they will be there to start work at 9:00 a.m., there they are -- right on time. These guys are experts at what they do, and their cleanup after the job was perfect. (Mark and crew, thanks for all the extras.) At the end, I felt like I was saying goodbye to friends instead of contractors. Marty Hartwell is one in a million, and I highly recommend Floor Coverings International of Cary. Our floors look fantastic. If the day comes that I have future flooring needs, I will be calling Marty again. Thanks so much!

We found Preferring Flooring on the Shaw Website. Preferred Flooring did a great job. First, Shaw is a little weird because they don't offer the same products to the consumer market that they offer to new home builders. Preferred Flooring found us the equivalent Shaw engineered hardwood that matched perfectly. Second, they did a great job installing the floors including removing the carpeting from the stairs and installing and staining the stair treads to match the Shaw engineered hardwood. Third, they gave us a reasonable price and came in on budget. We also had them do a little tile work in the master bath, which turned out great. Their salesman Jeff Parker is great to work with as are their installation crews. We highly recommend Preferring Flooring and would absolutely use them again.

Bertin Gomez was our initial contact and made a personable and favorable first impression that lasted throughout the flooring installation. He checked in daily and more than met our expectations down to every detail. He did all of this with professional courtesy and a smile. His crews were a reflection of him...all courteous and conscientious workers right down to final cleanup. The new hardwood floor is beautiful. We would highly recommend Sedaris to anyone who needs new hardwood floors installed to perfection and free from worry and hassles!

Several people in my old neighborhood recommended Sedaris Hardwoods. This company has been serving…read morethe area for years. If I had not spoken to former customers, I would have passed this business by. Things to note: - The communication, payments and scheduling were disjointed and I do agree with Crystal W., the previous poster, on this point. Based on my experience, I would recommend that this company hire an office manager or some type of scheduling/accounting assistant to manage scheduling and billing. Paul appears to manage it all himself and communicates mostly through texts after 9pm, though it is possible to get him on the phone during the day. - Have Paul come out and do the consultation and have everything ready and prepared for your estimate 3 months in advance when you want to get on the schedule-the business is busy and you'll likely need some lead time before getting on the schedule. - For our experience, we paid 50% for the flooring and then the remaining 50% a couple of days before installation. This was done directly with the flooring vendor (not Sedaris); the Sedaris crew will pick up the flooring directly from the vendor prior to installation - Sedaris installation crew were phenomenal-I give them 5 stars. They worked hard, were polite, and made sure everything was clean when they left. - We had one hiccup where the measurements that Sedaris did at our original consultation for our pricing fell short and didn't account for enough flooring-1 or 2 additional boxes of flooring were needed in the laundry area. In the end, Sedaris agreed to pay for the additional flooring and we paid for the additional labor. We felt that this was a fair arrangement and were happy with how that issue was resolved. - After the installation and final payments, we had a question about cleaning some paint stains in the floor (done by separate vendor) and Paul was prompt in giving some helpful tips-I appreciated his helpfulness even after our official business was over. Despite some of the communication challenges with scheduling and billing, if we were to get our floors done again, we'd hire Sedaris. We love our floors.

While they weren't the cheapest or most expensive, they were the most professional and quality-driven based on our review of the options. The company is local and family-run with a 100% focus on hardwood. From quote to finish, communication was quick and accurate. We were able to work out what days to stay in the house and which days to be away, etc. without trouble. We were provided a lot of options around finish, sheen, etc., and given a solid explanation about the pros and cons, and value of each choice. The install team was friendly, professional, and very respectful of our home. They wore masks, took time to ensure they protected our property, and worked late hours to support our schedule. The quality of the job was top notch - in fact, we liked the outcome so much that we decided to engage them for an additional refinishing project for our main floor. So overall, couldn't have been a better experience - and highly recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality hardwood results at a fair price.
