The gentleman I spoke with was great and genuinely helpful. The woman I spoke with felt more dismissive, which took away from the experience. When I arrived for my pickup appointment, the rep helping me was friendly and handled everything smoothly. He even gave me recommendations for local mechanics to complete my PA state inspection. I had seen reviews saying some vehicles did not pass inspection, so I took mine in right away. It passed without any issues. My appointment was at 9 AM. By 9:30 there were three other clients waiting and only one rep working. It felt like a scheduling or staffing issue, but even with that I was only there for about an hour to an hour and a half. The truck itself was in good shape and matched the listing. The interior was the real disappointment. It was not detailed at all and placing two paper mats in the front row does not count. There was dirt on the dash and in the cupholders. Almost every hard surface has a white residue on it. Having worked in the automotive industry for six years, I would never let a client drive home in a vehicle that looked like that. I will either have to pay to have it detailed or do it myself, which should not be the case Carvana. The process was convenient and the truck was as described, but the lack of interior detailing and some service inconsistencies kept this from being a higher rated experience.

They couldn't get a flat bed or tow truck through the gates. They then used their pickup which they hooked up the truck, and with a little persuasion from the stuck wheels, they moved it out. Easy title transfer. The 3 guys were courteous and worked hard to remove my truck. Once they got my pickup out to the street, they used their tow truck to take it away. I am very pleased with PGH Junk Cars. I called them, and the next morning they had a flat bed. They called and said they would be back in the afternoon because the flatbed was too big. It was a difficult situation due to the fact my ex wife's name was still on the registration & title so she had to be there to sign documents. I called Craig to let him know and made the appointment to come in and sell my car. I arrived at the location on time, Craig was not there as he stated he would be. Another gentleman was there, very nice but did not know about my situation. He did the overview of my car then we went inside for the offer from corporate. They offered me $300 but waived processing fee of $99. I'm just so shocked by the fact that the value offered was 60% +/- less of what the online evaluation was while I was completely honest about conditions of the vehicle. Tires, rotors, breaks, battery were all in good to fair condition with about 30,000 miles on them. I obviously took great care of my car to get that many miles on it. I probably could have got 100,000 more but couldn't risk it. The gentleman kept telling me how impressed he was of the condition and how well kept it was for being 15 years old! The fact was however that I was backed into a corner because of my situation with my ex wife having to drive from the south hills and it was uncomfortable enough. At the end of the day it is what it is. The gentleman was nice and professional and did tell me " I wouldn't except the offer if I were you". But again, I was stuck in a corner. He mentioned the fact that the trade in value dropped because I waited 20 days from my original offer to the sold date. My fault, I had to accept what they offered. My suggestion is do your homework and be ready to walk away from their offer if needed. I was not so fortunate. It was better than trying to sell it outright however. People not showing up, being unreliable, etc... Just disappointed in the price offered vs quote. UPDATE: I was contacted today by the manager of we buy any car in Shaler. They made the situation right and did everything they could to make sure that I was happy. I am now very pleased about the situation and how everything turned out. It says a lot about a company that is willing to make it right if the customer is not happy. Thank you.

I just had to get rid of some. They were willing to pay (albeit not much) and would take the cars. I believe they were listed on a site that compares rates for local used car buyers. I would sell 2 cars: a Mazda and a Lexus (I think. It's been a long time since these cars have been driven). In total, I was given a bit over $600 for the two of them. I think the price is okay given these are all older than 2010, they are somewhat beat up, and the condition is not that great all in all. Why should you settle for a price like that? Honestly, it will help you free up your garage and just give you some cash. These cars would have kept deprecating in value if I hadn't done anything with them. The guys here were friendly and patient. They were fair and went from online estimate to handing the cash in just a few days. Another added bonus: they were able to come from their Babcock Blvd location to Verona to pick up the cars! So, if you've got some junk cars, this is a good company to sell them to. Don't expect much cash, but it's better than nothing.

Coming out of the intersection at the top something went to crap in my transmission/shifter and I was stuck in second. I already didn't have much mechanical faith in my car so I thought I was screwed. Cherry on top was that I was broke as all get out when this happened so that added some nice stress. A gas station down the road told me to drive up and see if these guys could figure out what was wrong... limping along in 2nd I got to the garage. I was a stressed mess and probably came off rude and scared but the guys and gals at Troy Hill Garage got my car in the shop and dove into it. I went and wandered the city on foot for a couple hours but probably and hour and half after they started on my car they called to say it was fixed!! Ended up being a bad shift cable bushing and it was a cheap fix! These folks saved my trip and the car is still going great after putting another 5000 miles on it over the next two weeks after getting it fixed!!
