And the next day I discovered that the window switch on the affected door wasn't working (my car is only 6 months old & it was working fine before). The good: the smears and paint streak were removed as soon as I pointed them out, and they replaced the window switch as soon as the part came in. Even though we were slightly inconvenienced by having to return, the owners were extremely accommodating & professional & demonstrated exceptional customer service. He acted like they didn't know the mirror needed to be calibrated and basically lied to me that it wasn't known at the time of the estimate. Meanwhile when the vehicle was picked up he acted like they didn't even know. I would not trust them ever again and they don't deserve anyone's business. You can imagine my horror when someone backed into the side of my three-week-old Subaru Forester -- my first nice car in eight years -- and did some fairly serious damage. Luckily, the person who was backin' up (her daddy taught her good) was honest and filed a claim with her insurance company. I found out that Frank Schrim Auto Body was able to do direct billing through her insurance company; that means nothing out-of-pocket for me. I gave them a call and they walked me through the process, since I was pretty much clueless. They were very nice on the phone. I took the car in for an estimate, and they had the paperwork in place from the other driver's insurance company. The damage was photographed -- I assume for the claims adjuster -- and a written estimate prepared. I can't really speak to their pricing, since I wasn't paying for it and I've never had other body work done. However, the process itself was painless and Frank was efficient and helpful. They arranged a rental car (also through the other driver's insurance) and arranged to have it meet me at the shop when the two new doors arrived. Everything went smoothly at the exchange. Two and a half days later, my car was ready; they stayed a little late so I could pick it up without having to leave work early. I left the rental at the shop and Frank took care of having Enterprise pick it up. I was given a written invoice of what was sent to the insurance company. The work itself was very well done; the car looks just like new, including the pinstriping. One part had to be reordered, and Frank said they'll call me once it arrives and it's just a few minutes' work to install it (some little plastic piece from the back door). Overall, I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the speed with which it was accomplished. Frank and the other gentleman (whose name I sadly forget right now) were friendly and helpful at every step. If I need body work in the future, I will definitely return here. Although I hope I don't have to.

I've never been in an accident requiring repairs…read more They call me to come pick it up, when I arrive a mechanic tells me there was a rusted part they didn't replace, but it will cause the check engine light to come on. Frank the owner said no, reassuring me they sprayed lubricant on it, it'll be fine. The very NEXT day, take the truck and family to a kid's competition, the check engine light comes on before we even make it there. Thank god I have AAA. Call frank again on Monday morning. He literally tried to tell me, check engine lights come on all the time. Like I'm stupid. I've never had one problem with this vehicle until the accident. It's a 2016 with 60k. He says I need to bring it in so HE can look at the error code. His mechanic said this was going to happen right in front of the owner. The owner reset the codes without showing me what the error code was, and just tells me I should drive it for the couple days to see if it comes on again. They put it back together knowing there were faulty parts and sent me on my way. If it wasn't for the mechanic being honest and spewing verbal diarrhea about the faulty parts on my vehicle I never would have known that they were fully aware when I left, my check engine light would come on, but at that point they say it's my responsibility to have it fixed. The owner tried to say on the phone it was my gas cap, lol. My car doesn't even have a gas cap. Frank said if it comes on we'll take to ford, or just put a f@&$!?; riser on it. Then the owner packed up his error reader and walked away from me, leaving me in the street with my truck and said nothing. Real business owners try to fix their mistakes, not this guy. So if you want to be treated like dirt when you try to get your car fixed, COMPLETELY, after an accident, this is your spot. The owner treats you like an ignorant liar. Like I want to have to figure out why my truck came out of their shop with more problems than it did when I dropped it off. I just want my truck back in one piece without having to tow it, drive around with check engine lights, or not be treated like dirt when you are the victim of an accident. The mechanic told me it would happen, it did, now Frank acts like it wasn't their responsibility. If you they put a broken caliper back on my truck, and said mmmm be careful your brakes might fail, and they fail the very next day. it would be the same thing.

Wolbert's accepts car insurance claims and with my company they are on the preferred list. The staff was extremely warm and friendly. I was given a preliminary estimate and they were able to schedule me three days later. They told me it would take two days to complete the work. I deferred the repair until after Holy week since the car was drive able. I took the car in yesterday and got a complimentary ride home. You are given a website link with your estimate so you can check the progress of your repair. This helps greatly when there is "hidden" damage. In my case there were two other pieces needed. I was a little apprehensive as to how long it would take to get those pieces but they had them the next day. I got called mid afternoon letting me know my card was ready. They came and picked me up. I settled the deductible and the staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome as I waited for them to bring my car back to me. They also gave me the final estimate which would be turned into insurance so I would know the exact amount of the claim. They offered me free soft drink from the refrigerator. I loved looking at the three turtles they had acquired that had grown and were sitting on their train tracks. I should note that Wolbert's does not use genuine dealer parts which is a requirement when filing a claim with my company. Since the work being done was cosmetic and they also verified I had no mechanical damage I was grateful. The front of the car looked like it never hit anything. Also, they offer free complimentary car wash with your repair. For me that is helpful no matter what the weather because the undercarriage is what really is important when getting the car cleaned. My insurance company has warranted the repairs lifetime outside of normal wear and tear. I've used their services years ago and remembered how pleased I was with them. I feel a lot better having my own car back so I can drive again. Located on East Crafton Ave near Sarafino's they are open weekdays only. Also, note that if you arrange a rental then they will have the company bring that car to you at their business and will have them pick it up from there when the work is completed.

The service person let me know that it would be two hours and the lunch hour before the repairs would be completed. I was surprised when he came back in just under 2 hours and said that the mechanic waited to take their lunch until my car was completed. I was amazed and the price was less than I would expect to pay elsewhere. I have always taken my cars for service here over the past 4 plus years I have lived here even though t is not the closest Chevy/GM dealer to me. It is because of service like this that I will continue to bring my vehicles back her to be serviced and they will get a nod for our next auto purchase.
