I decided to walk down Rue Saine-Catherine to see if anything stood out to me. Patty Slaps caught my eye as soon as I passed it, and since burgers sounded good we decided to check it out. Patty Slaps is a fast casual spot. Walking in, we were greeted by a large, open space with communal tables the main production area towards the back. Ordering is done on kiosks up front - the menu is somewhat limited, but they have several types of burgers which are able to be customized to your liking. I didn't want to get too big of a burger, so I went with the Patty Jr. and customized some of the sauces. The burger itself was good, albeit I'm glad I got the junior size as it was a little too greasy for my liking - it had that glazed doughnut look. We also got some poutine to share which was good but not the best I've had in the city. Service was fast, and overall I enjoyed my meal at Patty Slaps. It's good for what it is, and I wouldn't be mad if circumstances found me here in the future.

We walked in and were immediately approached by a server so we asked to sit by the window. We both ordered a Steerburger with fries and coleslaw. My friend enjoyed hers and I kinda liked mine but the burger wasn't anything like it used to be. I got the impression there was something other than meat mixed in just by the texture. The curly fries were just like we remembered: crispy & light. Staff was friendly and accommodating l, but the initial server who took our orders forgot to tell us he was either going on break or had finished for the day because another server approached us later to take our order! We told her we had already put in our order. She apologized and 10 minutes later our food came out. Oops.

Friendly and funny and great, quick service. Food was terrific, hot chicken sandwich and cajun chicken sandwich. So flavorful and sides of coleslaw and curly fries were great too. My hubby had a nice chat with the owner as well. Don't know when we might get back to Montreal but we will definitely go back here if we do. We haven't even tried the beef!

I had some out of town visitors coming to visit me and poutine was high on the list for lunch…read more Saint Burger is an attractive site to dine, with a great decor worthy for a visit. Order has to be placed and paid for, prior to getting to the table, on the upper level. Service was mediocre and we were given a beeper that would go on, when the order is ready for pickup and bring to the table. I was expecting the place to be packed for lunch on the last day of the year, and interestingly enough, it was rather quiet. While I wrote earlier that the decor and furniture was inviting but what good is that when it was barricaded, and therefore not accessible. I tried the Royal poutine that has multiple toppings, including smoked meat, bacon etc. Quality was just plain simple with the toppings being very dry. Smoke meat has to be moist and juicy, but was anything but this. The burger was just plain ok and nothing extraordinary.

The bun was soggy from the sauces by the time I received it which definitely effected the overall experience of the meal, however everything else was pretty great. The chicken was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the sauces were tasty and the spice level was perfect. Overall it was a pretty decent burger. Will definitely be ordering from here again to eat this burger and try others from their menu!

Maybe I visited on an off day but It was just bad. The meat was rubbery and dry and tasteless. The sauces and the ingredients were not fresh at all. I added guacamole to my burger and you couldn't even taste the guacamole. The custom hero sauce is basically salad dressing. The cheese doesn't taste like cheese. I never ended up eating the whole thing which is always sad. The prices are just too high for what it is and I was really let down by this place. Might give it another go with people who enjoyed this place. They will know what to order.

I always have their Chili as it's one of the best I've tried. It tastes super fresh rich and flavourful. The chili is super thick and seasoned to perfection. I also get drinks here : They make delicious cocktails on the house when you play .. just have to tip the waitress. Service is incredible, the ladies are always coming around and make sure to get everything you order. They come often and very efficiently. The food come pretty quick too maybe 5-10 min and voila the food is at your table waiting to get in to your belly. Overall, pretty awesome menu , service and food is really great. No complaints whatsoever and totally recommend the rail.. if you go to the restaurant section, you'll have to pay for your food but if you play at the tables it's always freee yaaay for free food and drinks. There's some items on the menu that you can only order at the bigger stakes table that's not available at the minimum 1/2$ tables (poker terms) lol but it's pretty awesome overall

The sandwiches feel small after you finish one so ordering 1.5 per person would be your best bet, order 3 sandwiches between you and a buddy. The food: Poulet Grillé- This was grilled chicken and was a recommendation from the cashier and it really worked. It was a nice light protein that went well with the the standard fixins on the sandwich. Jambon et Fromage- This was a ham and cheese and the French and Canadians really do them well. This was a must order. Philly Cheesesteak- So this was good but definitely didn't feel like a Philly cheesesteak, if anything it felt more like a steak and cheese. Viande Fumée- This was the smoked meat sandwich, this really reminded me of a Cuban sandwich with the mustard and pickles. This was good but I enjoyed others more.

We were seated upstairs, which was a little cold but it was -13 outside with a windchill of -23, so understandable. We ordered a bottle of Syrah and 2 burgers. The wine came within 2 minutes and the burgers arrived 3 minutes after that. I had the David smash with poutine and my husband had the Sacre Bleu with onion rings. Both were fantastic. The David smash was exactly the right size for me and the poutine was great. The onion rings were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. My husband loved his burger too. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend.
