    Burger and fries
    Satyanas X.

Service was pretty good, no long lineup and the burger was decent but not spectacular. Fries were awesome but they ran out of ketchup so they're still experiencing growing pains. Pricing seems fair but I'd rate Five Guys better [and closer to home], unfortunately their location on Mcgill isn't open at 2am. The décor is retro and industrial and eating in was no problem. This spot is basically across the street from McD's and the lineup there was to the door, so if you want better quality ingredients and are willing to wait a little bit longer for your meal I think it's worth it. Will go back.

Ate here twice. Good food, not too expensive, fast service. Unique ambience for a bagel joint.

You place your order at a kiosk, pick it up at the counter when your number is called, and can either take it to go or head upstairs to the seating area. One thing I enjoy when traveling is visiting McDonald's in other countries and trying menu items we don't have in the U.S. This time I ordered the veggie burger and poutine. Both were surprisingly good. The fries were hot and crispy, the cheese curds and gravy were flavorful, and the veggie patty was crispy on the outside while still tasting fresh. I could actually see whole vegetables in the patty, which made it feel less processed than expected. This is definitely a high-traffic location, and the dining area can get messy pretty quickly. That said, orders were taken and fulfilled accurately and fast. I'd happily return--just maybe not during the school rush.

The whole place seemed dirty and greasy, and the bakery case looked like a McDonald's marketing team's worst nightmare; nothing in there appeared even remotely appetizing. I could not wait to leave and we only came here because the A&W down the street closes at 9 pm and they wouldn't serve us, despite the big "24 hours" neon sign in their window...

Whenever I don't know what to eat but still want something good (and not too heavy), this is usually it. The chicken is always solid. Juicy, well cooked, and actually seasoned properly, which is not always the case at places like this. You can tell it's marinated and not just grilled plain. I usually get a bowl and load it up with veggies and a sauce or two. The sauces are really what make it for me -- flavorful but not overpowering, and they don't taste artificial. What I like is that you can build the bowl however you want. Some days I go lighter, other days I'm hungry and add more. Portions are decent and I usually feel full after, not stuffed but satisfied. Price feels fair for what you get. The place itself is clean and simple, nothing fancy but comfortable. Staff has been nice every time I've gone. Sometimes it's busy, but they still move pretty fast and don't make you feel rushed or ignored. It's not "fine dining" obviously, but it's reliable. And that matters. If you're looking for something fresh, filling, and easy, Poulet Rouge is a good choice. I'd recommend it, especially if you're tired of greasy fast food.

My friend ordered a regular chicken bowl and it was a *huge* portion -- we could barely finish, but it was so tasty we kept wanting "just one more bite." Definitely a spot I'd recommend, especially if you've just arrived in town or don't feel like cooking. Perfect for a quick takeout fix that doesn't feel like a compromise on flavor.
