"Philly" steak poutine, friend chicken dumplings, and club sandwich with salad
Kylee B.

We stopped here for the wide variety of choices on the menu. That was our mistake. It looked like a fancy steakhouse when we walked in, but the decor was Chinese lanterns above the cooks making pizza? And the music was club music, probably because the restaurant is attached to a casino, so I just didn't understand what vibe they were going for. We had 2 different servers, still not sure who got our tip. The food came out within 10 minutes and was extremely meh. I had Philly steak poutine and he had a club sandwich. Both very forgettable. I was very hungry so it served its purpose but overall I would not eat here again.

Amazing Food especially when you play poker and eat/drink for free hahaa On a serious note, the food at the Rail is the best in the area. I always have their Chili as it's one of the best I've tried. It tastes super fresh rich and flavourful. The chili is super thick and seasoned to perfection. I also get drinks here : They make delicious cocktails on the house when you play .. just have to tip the waitress. Service is incredible, the ladies are always coming around and make sure to get everything you order. They come often and very efficiently. The food come pretty quick too maybe 5-10 min and voila the food is at your table waiting to get in to your belly. Overall, pretty awesome menu , service and food is really great. No complaints whatsoever and totally recommend the rail.. if you go to the restaurant section, you'll have to pay for your food but if you play at the tables it's always freee yaaay for free food and drinks. There's some items on the menu that you can only order at the bigger stakes table that's not available at the minimum 1/2$ tables (poker terms) lol but it's pretty awesome overall

Fried Chicken and Chorizo with Cesar side salad...fabulous!!! 17$

I seriously adore this place. The food is always delicious! Always made perfectly! Always served quickly!! And prices include taxes. The selection is always fantastic too...though they have yet again changed up their menu a bit so now some of my favorites have disappeared. (For example The Rail Shepherd's Pie: Gone! Fried chicken with chorizo: Gone! Spinach dip: Gone! Mexican poutine: Gone!) but still some reliable faves on the menu: indian taco, avocado wrap, the rail burger, the pizzas... Which i highly recommend, especially the Indian Taco! Also, lookin forward to trying their new pork chop plate n their new black bean dip appetizer! I love that they are open 24h! I love the decoration and the ambiance, it's like a chameleon restaurant: it can be what u need it to be. Example: on a date night? All the sudden the place feels nice n classy... Just wana come out for some wings n football? Now it's a sports bar! Family reunion? Now it's a reception hall! The high ceilings and gigantic poker hall adjacent make it sound a little echo-ey in here but this ends up being a good thing for 2 reasons: 1- You can tune in and out of the music playing depending on if u like the song quite easily. 2- It makes it so even if ur sitting quite close to other patrons u can't much hear their conversations. Just fyi: poker players eat free here, and from my understanding, as much as they want. I come here often for breakfast (which is the best breakfast anywhere!) with friends and family: this place has gotten ridiculously popular for breakfast (with good reason) so try and reserve in advance. They're busy too around dinner time, but quiet back down around 10pm ish. So if ur lookin for a nice quiet meal i suggest after 10pm. The new menu seems to suggest they're falling into a bit of a hipster vibe...but i expect this will be a temporary fad. Definitely recommend!! Will keep comin back! Again n again n again!

Late night munchies on the reserve yeah

A real bargain for midnight upscale munchies. In a crunch, why would anyone go to La Banquise 24H when you have this? The Diablo Calamari ($9) with bell peppers and onions in a tomato sauce was A1. Amazing flavour combination. The burger was less impressive though: a little over-salted and sausage-like. Very generous plate though with a good amount of salad that isn't calorie-filled. The casino-level service was impeccable, and so was the atmosphere. Mohawk territory so no taxes. Potential for a 5-star, contingent on a good main dish which I'll surely find.

Fruit crepe with sprinkles!

We were alone in the restaurant minus one other gentleman but I'm not sure if he worked there and was on a break. The wall was full of hockey memorabilia which was neat to see upon walking in. The food- my gosh- some of the best burgers and fries. I wish there was one closer to where I live- it would be amazing (yet dangerous for my waistline) to have burgers and fries that close by. The burgers are moist and flavourful, the fries remind me of better Belle Province fries. They're just as delicious but less greasy. I never get anything too fancy- just a regular burger, but my fellow diners often get the Capicolo burger and they love it. They give great portion sizes and I went home with some leftover fries which I am very happy about now that I'm drooling just from writing the review... Can't wait to go back in the future.

I tried their original "Buck" burger which has a regular patty, cheese, capicollo slice, hot peppers, tomato, onion and lettuce. I also opted for a poutine, which was quite good. Not sure what makes this burger place special, it seems to be an institution and widely liked by many, but the flavors were lacking. There is little to no seasoning on the patty, and no special sauce that would help make the burger pop. It's nice that you can choose how you want you bun (steamed, toasted or dipped) however the overall meal is still a little boring. Luckily the poutine sauce was delicious, it's thick and peppery and the fries were seasoned well too. If you are expecting really thick, juicy and decadent gourmet burgers, don't get the Buck. Perhaps the cheeseburger with bacon would be a better choice but make sure to ask for mayo or ketchup as they don't come by default.
