Twice when I've been to this store I have seen *awful* customers treating the staff horribly. There's just NO reason to yell and curse and swear and I feel so sorry for staff who have to put up with this level of nonsense. I recently had what I thought was going to be a challenging experience and I was directed to Rosa who took such good care of me and was so kind. I know how tough it can be to work customer service, especially when people can be so unkind and hostile. I was so appreciative of Rosa's kindness, patience, and taking charge of my situation and resolving it to my satisfaction. Thanks so much for having staff who are empowered to make things happen... From the start, Tile Center made this piece of our process easy and pleasant, and we love the outcome. As project manager, Joe was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. He came to our house very quickly after our initial outreach, returned later with grout samples, and walked us through options at the showroom. He always responded quickly to emails and texts. He helped us navigate tile shortages and advised us when we needed to order from a third party. Thomas, the installer, was also fantastic. His work is beautiful, and on top of that, he was just incredibly lovely to be around. He not only tolerated, but was awesomely kind to, our very loud and unhelpful dog! He also went above and beyond dealing with various issues that arose. James, who came on one of the days, was also great. On top of everything else, we really appreciated how both Joe and Thomas worked things out so that we could live in the house throughout the installation. That was really helpful as far as both hassle and the potential extra cost of lodging. We got porcelain wood-look tiles, and we really like the outcome (see picture). 100% recommend.

Separate teams handled the projects, and both were excellent. Big shout out to Jacob for coordinating everything, and to Alen for his outstanding help on correcting our subfloor. Alen and team removed over 1000 lbs of dust, kept it clean, prepared the floor and sealed some cracks, and the final result was exactly what we needed for our gym flooring - flat, strong, and clean. Then the carpet installers came and knocked out the remainder of our basement, and did an amazing job on the transition from carpet to gym flooring. The carpet was spotless and the seams were practically invisible. Can't recommend Maryland Carpet & Tile enough! They were friendly, accommodating, and the prices were very reasonable.

However, he couldn't put in the new faucet parts until new tiles were put in, which he didn't have the expertise to do. I had to find a good tile person ASAP. Thankfully, my search led me to Junior. He responded quickly and was at my house just a few days after I reached out to him. His skills and meticulous attention to detail are outstanding. On the day of the appointment, he arrived just after 9:00 a.m. and worked on the new tiles until late afternoon--literally all day. At one point he had to go out and buy more tiles, which he didn't charge me for. He returned early the next morning to put in caulking around the new tiles, which took him an additional four hours. I'm so grateful for Junior's thoroughness. As the attached photo shows, the new tiles look fabulous--absolute perfection! If you need anything done inside or outside your house, Junior Gonzalez is the one to call. Highly recommended!

All showcase quality IMO. Thus, we've plenty of recent experience with KBS outfit and feel confident in making the highest recommendation. In summary - KBS is not too big nor too small, not too expensive but not cheap, so they were just right for us - average homeowners who seek the very best value. In this regard, KBS was just right. Some highlights........ 1) The crew is experienced and cohesive. They've been together for a good long time. They work well together and we never observed inefficiency. They just work hard all day long. 2) I never had to worry about workers in our home. Honest, polite, professional, kind, and responsive are words I'd use to describe them. 3) Communications were timely and valuable. My advice is to take notes of every communication for reference. In one case we forgot it was our responsibility to acquire an appliance. Uh oh, it was our fault and a written record would have been useful to refer to. Yikes! 4) The budget estimates were honored. there was no bait and switch. Prices were transparent to us. 5) We enjoyed reviewing recommended selections of cabinets, floor, hardware, appliances, sinks etc. Today, we feel somewhat knowledgeable with KBS as our tutors. 6) Cleanup and construction debris was timely. Thanks! 7) The crew was OK with our two dogs. I think our doggies missed them when the jobs were done. Final note: The sign of a great contractor is NOT that nothing goes wrong. Rather it is how the contractor responds when something does go wrong. In this regard, KBS took care of problems I was not even aware of, and when I was, they swarmed to make it right ASAP. For example, a quartz kitchen countertop cracked. Surprised. The piece was faulty. The crack was not due to poor installation. We only had to make one call to Dan who took care of it. Easy peasy. No hassles or haggles about responsibility or cost. Perfect. I've a few more impressive examples. So the more work we observed, the more confident we became in KBS. In my life "trust" is earned and hard to achieve in the contracting world. So, it is with pleasure to say KBS was trusted. We'd hire them again whenever we have a future need. Simply excellent!
