Having relocated to shelbyville from an area 60 miles from Buffalo NY, I was told that they make great buffalo wings. They are good but not great. I asked for medium sauce, but what I got I wouldn't even consider mild. There was absolutely no heat to the sauce. It was also very watery and was all on the bottom of the container and not on the wings. The buffalo shrimp were good, the fries were not crispy and I think cooked in the same oil as the fish is. They had a very "different" taste to them. The service was very good. They were very polite and got the food done quickly. I will probably give them another chance, hopefully the wings will have a closer resemblance to what I was used to. read more

Well... I'm liking the kid's five piece boneless chicken wing meal I got delivered... the wings were really delish and the fries weren't half bad; but? The mozzarella sticks that I ordered? Hmmmm... the nicest thing I can say is they're really BIG. Ginormous. Huge mozzarella cheese sticks. As for the taste? Can't say much. Maybe the oil needed to be changed? Maybe it's a weird brand of mozzarella? I've never had a cheese stick taste quite like these... and quite frankly don't want to again. They're not disgusting, just... weird. Their marinara sauce didn't help. The yummy chicken made up for it. Nicely seasoned and perfectly fried... not greasy... golden goodness!!! Same for the fries... I had a delivery service bring mine, so my fries weren't quite as hot as I'd like, and I imagine they're much better when they're HOT outta that fryer! I'm just sad that my cheese sticks failed the taste test as I'm afflicted to those darn things... I almost forgot to take pics, so excuse the fact that there isn't five pieces of chicken... a full order of fries... nor five cheese sticks. Oops... Probably the best wings in town. A variety of sauces from mild to burn-your-ass hot. You can call ahead but the person taking your order sometimes doesn't speak or understand english very well so you might have to "wing" it! It was a 4/5 so I went with a 5. The price for the 5 piece combo meal with celery and ranch sauce was $9.32....The service was fast, almost too fast as I wondered if the chicken had been cooked long enough. The wings would be better if they were more crispy. The legs and wings were very meaty. The sauce is too thin and there is a half inch in the bottom of the basket. The fries were excellent. As we drove up we decided we would be lucky if the food was "passable". The inside of the place was rundown, lots of clutter laying around. Surprisingly awesome! Wasn't really sure what to expect with a wing joint in a strip mall, but they definitely didn't disappoint. The bone in wings are good quality, meaty wings, not this wimpy, mostly breading I've come to expect from other places. The sauces they offer are incredibly accurate in their descriptions. I've had the medium and hot, I'm not a big fan of scalding my mouth and sweating out more calories than I put in when trying to eat, so their hot sauce was a great choice. You get a bit of heat with all the flavor. Their fries are above average. The only thing that could be better is the cleanliness of the restaurant. First visit since my last review. The wings are the best I have found in Shelbyville. They were fresh and hot. I called in my order for takeout and the were packaged great for transportation as well. I also ordered the garbage fries. Don't let the name fool you. They are loaded with chili, jalapenos, cheese, and olives. I ordered the large size and there were easily enough for 2 people. The fries are crispy and delicious. There was also a knowledgeable cashier present this time to take my order. Given the other options between Nashville and Lynchburg, this was a pretty decent stop in a small town. The wings were average with average flavor and quality. The portions were big. I'll start by saying the wings were good. But it appears it's more of a take out place than dine in, We had to pay when we ordered our food, and I never pre-tip for service. We had to go to the counter to get our food when it was ready, even though we were the only customers in the restaurant. When I wanted a second beer, another trip to the counter and pay for it as you get it. And in a place that had a sports bar theme, we had one TV to watch with an NCIS rerun. Love Touchdown Wings. The lemon pepper "bone in" are my favorite but I get the other flavors boneless. There cheesecale desert is fantastic but expensive. I really want to give this place a 5 star rating because they are very nice, the place is clean, they get your food cooked in a reasonable amount of time.
