The food was great and the service was both good and friendly. The seats were very comfortable and I was happy to see my Iowa Hawkeyes on the big screens and several other fans here!

Club sandwich and sweet potato fries.

Food was great. Services was great, friendly and respectable. I would definitely come back here.

The place felt more like a lonely lounge than a sports bar. Mostly bare walls (one wall had a portion of a mural started), purple lighting, furniture too nice for a sports bar. I expected more beers on tap being a taphouse..but mostly offered domestics. We only stopped in for a drink. The bartender wasn't very social. That's okay, but we were one of 3 guests in the entire restaurant. They have 4 gigantic TVs that coated the restaurant in bright white lights...a bit off putting. They played country and R&B music instead of commentary from the Rangers game that was on. Notthing inviting from our visit and nothing to make us want to return.

Our server was attentive and you could tell that a lot of locals swing by because she knew a lot of people coming in. The seating is first come first serve so be prepared for that. They have patio seating for those that want to enjoy the outside. The inside has a bar and plenty of tables. It can be a tight squeeze at some tables but makes it feel more homey. For food I had the breakfast sandwich and it was good. Pretty basic but everything from the toppings to the eggs were fresh and cooked well. The pancake was good and big so glad I tried it. Overall it's a great local spot that I will check out again.

We landed here about a year ago, come in once a month or so for Karaoke night. We are always…read morerallied in by our friend who loves to sing and is an ex-professional metal singer. We love downtown McKinney and so many establishments have that southern charm, friendly service, and just love people. We always bring in a group of paying patrons. Early on we felt there was a clickish vibe, but never thought anything about it. We make friends everywhere, since we are travelers . Last few months we noticed a shift, bartender ruder, lack of service, the regulars shifting their gaze as if something was wrong. Last night ended that for us, and I'm sure they will be thrilled. Our bonus son chose to come here for his celebratory event. We invited a variety of people we knew, local talents, professionals, and family. Hateful comments about having a few balloons and party hats and how "you BETTER clean all that UP, I'm not doing it." We were treated with disdain. No service, each person had to get our own menu when we were ready to order, , and silverware after food was served, no one took our drink orders, when we went to the bar-our tabs were closed after each drink order. The bartender, Chevon, (who is always there) was rude and ugly to our whole group and to those she didn't even know was in our group. The new DJ, (Shawn) skipped over our friend twice. Chevron (bartender) who didn't know the person she was speaking to was my sister, said "I hate that guy, all he sings is rock songs." I mean... it karaoke. And that guy she's talking about has been bringing a group of people here for over a year. So carry on the "high school drama" there are a ton of places in McKinney that are lovely and welcoming. When you are hateful to singers, doctors, nurses, business owners, and veterans... that news will travel fast. And as rude and ugly as this review is, it's not near as rude or ugly as we were treated, individually and as a group. If you are gonna be bias to people, you don't need to be serving them. It's sad, because I know Karen and what Spoons means to her and her family. I hope they clean house and start over in the back. FYI (Shawn was a really nice DJ, he was so kind to people celebrating others.) But other than that, I wouldn't recommend The Garage for any new Collin County resident, any bridal party, bachelor party, or group celebrating anything... you can DM me and I'll give you a personal list of plenty of places to go. Many of them walking distance.

Our server works at another location and told my friend about this place I feel horrible I can't remember her name right now but she's a ginger super sweet and took care of us and answered all of our crazy questions. Brittany??? I had the cheeseburger and it was a double cheeseburger and it was so delicious with side of salad. (Photo didn't turn out) My friend had the burger & french fries so I got to try them and they were also delicious. Inside a dark and moody and cool and temperature so you can come in and get out of the heat enjoy a cocktail and a nice lunch. It's nice to not be under such bright light and crowded places. I really like the atmosphere here quiet swanky and had nice music. Friends request we shared the double eggs they were definitely something to try. And she had the chicken pot pie and said it was so delicious she licked the bowl clean.

Today was no exception lol I MUST shout-out, Josh though. My drinks were AWESOME! He suggested the Clover Club (martini) and I don't have words to describe how yummy it was - then he made me a coffee drink that absolutely MUST make it on the menu. Good energy. I'm sure he's going to kill it at Texas State :) The cheeseburger was delicious & I'm mad I forget my to-go box (ugh!) of course I wanted more truffle on the truffle fries, but.... that's just me lol The service was excellent. The whole experience is worth the price. It's a fun environment and the food, drinks & service are awesome as well which isn't always the case with "theme" restaurants. Only "concern" suuuuper limited seating, so go early or make a reservation.

We had the deviled eggs and lump crab cakes to start, and both were SO good. Prices were great too. Our waitress, Staci (or Stacy), was AMAZING. Sweet, funny, great at banter, and incredibly attentive. Even when she was busy, she never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. When she was at our table, we had her full attention, she checked on us the perfect amount, and we never had to ask for anything twice. She was on top of her game! My only complaint was a really awkward interaction at the end. I wanted to ask Staci two simple questions: whether they carried an olive gin I'd had in Europe (they didn't, but I haven't found it anywhere) and whether I could buy a roll of quarters because we were going to play pool. Somehow this turned into 5-6 staff members gathering around, plus this random blonde lady in a white T-shirt and jeans joining the conversation. Aside from Staci and the blonde lady, no one else even acknowledged me. They just stood there looking at me. It was weird. It felt like a lot of unnecessary attention over two simple questions and made me pretty uncomfortable. Having another customer involved was honestly the weirdest part. It was disappointing because we'd had such a great experience up until then. I went from thinking, "I need to bring my friends here!" to leaving feeling pretty unwelcome. Food: delicious. Atmosphere: beautiful. Prices: great. Staci: WONDERFUL. I just wish the interaction at the end had matched the rest of the experience. I changed my rating from two stars to four stars because I didn't feel like one bad interaction was worth two stars and I was a little flustered when I originally wrote my review.
