She really knew what she was doing. Her assistant was the sweetest guy ever and we laughed a lot. 2 weeks later, my jaw is no longer in excruciating pain and my face is looking more thin. What could go wrong? Upon arrival, "Anna" stared at me, finally asking, you want a massage? Yes, I booked online for a massage. She pointed to the services menu. I agreed to the listed price plus tip - I was going to take her time - and it would be unfair to stiff her. The treatment room is plain, but clean. A wax pot is the main feature. Okay. I was on the table face up, which seemed to horrify her - no, she said, I don't do any body, just back and arms and legs. As the gentlemen clients arrived, they were escorted by Anna to the showers, (yes, in the middle of my massage)...I am giving an extra star, right here, for Anna, for being gracious when clearly I was in the wrong place. No shower was offered to me. The waxing price list posted on the wall makes it clear that Mimco is full service for "gentleman parts" waxing. The entrance is quiet, with a small water fountain, incense, and Asian decor. I won't return, but a gentleman may wish to partake of the menu. Or any gender wishing full bikini or brazillian wax. Be firm, there is upsell for package services. Interesting adventure.

Most of our go-to spots were already fully booked for the weekend, so we were open to trying somewhere new. There is a parking garage directly beneath the massage studio, but be aware of nearby events, especially at Rogers Arena. We ended up paying a steep flat rate of $50 for all-day parking because of an event, so I recommend allowing extra time to find more affordable options if you're visiting on a busy day. The space itself is fairly small. As you walk in, there is a station for foot massages on the right, and a couple small private rooms toward the back. We were shown to one of those private rooms for our session. My husband and I both enjoy deep tissue massages with strong pressure, and this place delivered. The massage was excellent. In fact, it was one of the best we've had. The pressure was exactly what we were looking for (we like "it hurts so good" pressure), and the price was incredibly reasonable. We were glad we brought cash for tipping, as the credit card system didn't include a tip option. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot for a deep tissue massage. The value was fantastic, and we were really impressed with the experience. $314 for a 90-minute couples massage felt like a great deal, especially for the level of care we received.

Once you arrive, it is basically a shipping container that's been repurposed into a spa. There's a code you have to enter that's included in the welcome email. The staff greeted me and my partner warmly, and we were led to watch a 5 min instruction video. They explain the best way to use the spa pod - which includes a washroom/change area, shower, hot tub, hot rocks, cold tub, and sauna room. The spa pod section is actually outdoors, so there is no roof. It made for a cool experience as it was raining in November. I admit it got quite cold for me as the rain hit, but the hot tub was a nice haven. The washroom and shower section had towels and products for you to use, but I strongly advise that the product ingredients should be listed or provided somewhere in case anyone has allergies. I think that the products should all be unscented as well, to be safe for everyone. There was also no face wash, so I had to end up using the body soap on my face. My favourite section was the sauna with pink Himalayan salt rock walls. It was a hot sauna with light and air programming, to slowly dim lights overtime with music, until pitch black. This felt quite meditative and restorative. The lights slowly come back on after a while. There was also a hydration station, with hot and cold water taps, and peppermint tea provided for you. Nice touch! I don't know that I would visit again, if I had to pay for this experience, as I personally prefer a massage portion for full relaxation. It is also quite pricey for a 2 hour session. Nonetheless, this was a unique experience for me!
