My husband and I, with his family stayed at the travelodge in Cheshunt last night as we are attending my mother-in-law's funeral today and the location was convenient. We ate at this restaurant as it is attached to the hotel and therefore was convenient. There were 9 of us eating. The food was average to below average really. I had what was referred to as bruschetta for my starter, however the tomato was poor quality and the bread wasn't toasted. For main I had penne arabbiatta. This dish was average, not amazing but it did have just the right amount of heat. Some of the others had Calzones and again, said they were average. It was very doughy and not enough filling.
The service was very good but the food just wasn't what I consider restaurant quality. read more
