The locals seem to flock to this place pretty frequently. The owners new customers by name (always a great sign), and there was a line when we got there (which moved quickly). Plenty of pastas, paninis, antipastas, and more. We placed a massive order for 5 people and sat outside. Everything was delivered quickly and we ate while reaching our forks over each other's plates to make sure everything was tried, and nothing was missed. I didn't spend too much time looking, but there is a little shop as well which offers different sauces, pastas, etc. for purchase. They all look delicious, and great for a gift basket.

The main course took about 30 minutes to arrive, as well, which would have been okay if we weren't already a bit annoyed with the slow service. I'm not sure if they were understaffed (it was fairly busy, especially for a Wednesday night) but the staff just seemed to disappear sometimes. The food itself was also subpar and a disappointment. Italian food is wonderful and full of great flavors - all the food we had was bland. We had fried calamari that was chewy and, although the calamari seemed fresh, the batter didn't taste of anything. It seemed like neither the calamari nor the batter had been seasoned. My partner's fish was okay but again, seemed under-seasoned, and my pasta was also just bland. Everything lacked any sort of distinction and, considering how good the items in the store are, this was a real disappointment. I think if we hadn't been there with a 50% promotion we would have been really upset. We were hoping to find a new neighborhood spot but this, sadly, won't be it.

I opted for this stand in Camden Market for my first experience. They were offering free samples as I walked by, which I accepted already knowing that this was the destination I traveled to the market to try! The pasta is freshly made and cooked to order. It's really cool seeing it getting tossed in the wheel/rind. There were several amazing sounding topping options, but I opted for the classic style.
