Great independent deli with lots of great paninis and pasta dishes. Mimi's is reason enough to move to Oval.

They offer espresso drinks (hot/iced), bottled sodas, waters, beers. There is usually a fresh baked pastry or two on the counter. The grocery section has jarred foods and sauces, dry pastas, grains, fresh produce, bread. There is a reach in freezer with cups of Gelato ice cream from a local company called Gelupo. I had the Sour Cherry Riccotta and the Bitter Chocolate. Both were to die for. Chocolate will never be the same for me again after this cup. I will have dreams with it for years to come. They sell chocolate bars as well. The Rococco ones are made in London. Perfect small gift to bring home with you. There are about 10 tables outside plus few benches and picnic tables across the street. There is a wonderful community garden also across the street with additional seating and lovely shaded areas to relax in. Italo offers free WiFi for it's customers, by the way. Ask for the code or look for it in chalk on the walls. I believe they open around 11am and close around 6 or 7pm but it really depends on the volume of sales for the day. Wonderful place with wonderful people. We enjoyed our time spent here very much. Thank you Italo.

Coffee all good, and set us up well for a quick play on the swings in the small square opposite. The inside feels a little dark and close, but the seats on the pavement outside are what make this a 5 star cafe. Visit on a sunny Saturday morning.

I saw this cute cafe with a queue so I knew I had to go. After weeks of Pret subscription, the actual real cafe latte here was an absolute delight. The staff are wonderful, friendly and it's these kind of cafes that made me fall in love with London. Next time, I had a lunch and I'm a salmon lover so I had to get a juicy piece of Salmon. Their salmon preparation is outstanding. First, the quality of the fish is just terrific and the delicious honey, soy glaze is so good. Their greek salad is crave worthy and I haven't even had a sandwich here yet. Some of my proudest London moments involve the Deli. First, when I introuduced my Italian friend who told me this was a legit spot and proceeded to show me some of her favorite pastas and ingredients to buy. I felt that built my clout as a aspiring Londoner. Another proud moment was taking someone who grew up in Victoria and never heard of the deli before, he now goes there every week. This is an absolute gem of a place and sadly, now that I'm in LA, I can't go here for my morning coffee or favorite lunch. When I'm back, this is one of the first places I want to go. And I forgot, the tiramisu, in the cold case, get that too. This place always makes me and my belly smile.

DO NOT GO to this shop at all costs…read more.. I'm giving them 1 star because I can't give them 0. My girlfriend and I entered this shop today for the first time and the guy behind the counter started harassing my girlfriend straight away with unpleasant looks and comments like "you make me feel hot" and other comments that I can not repeat here. He was being extremely disrespectful and rude and kept trying to provoke her when she was trying to stay out of his way. I asked him if he is okay and that he wasn't funny and he started shouting at us as we left the shop. Please avoid this place, they do not respect women here and we definitely won't be returning. I will report this case to the Police because is unbelievable how in 2021 harassment still exist in a developed city like London

Three stars because, while this place LOOKS the ideal lunch spot, there is so little flavour across their options it is difficult to care that, on appearance, this place seems perfect. A lot of their food looks quite nice and portions are large, but in fact upon purchasing are full of grease and have little legitimately good taste. Good example of this is the lasagna - it looks fantastic and has great texture, but is lacking any sort of taste that is either fresh, distinct, or any sort of kick. It's just pasta gloop in the end. Deserts can be a touch dry on occasion, so pick your piece wisely. This is certainly not a bakery and they seem to have little expertise in making or selecting deserts for sale, so unless it's just the need for a sweet kick in the middle of your day, avoid this shelf and opt for someone who specialises in desserts.
