    Eggplant Parmesan
    Michele S.

The most delicious food we had in all the cities we visited in Italy! Also, the most friendly and helpful waiter who come to find out has been loyal to this family restaurant for 20 years. We ordered the eggplant Parmesan to start -- absolutely delectable! We also had the truffle beef/steak and their homemade gnocchi! The limoncello spritz was made just right! We ate inside and enjoyed the atmosphere. The owner was present and you could tell how important it is to him that everyone is happy with their food and experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND & I look forward to my return to Rome so I can go to Toto!

We chose Toto based on reviews and it did not disappoint. Tuna tartare and all three pasta dishes were amazing. We all agreed it was one of the best restaurants we have tried in Rome. Atmosphere was modern but quaint Great for a family. And only about 900ft from the Spanish Steps

Absolutely the best food and service. We spent 9 days in Italy, this was our favorite spot. We had our 30th anniversary dinner here and the best part is we just stumbled upon the restaurant! We were drawn in by the ambiance and great staff. The food was delicious! Could not have planned a better evening. Thanks to Arturo, he was amazing!!

This is our first time in Italy, and we went to this wonderful restaurant called ToTo it is over in the shopping district. We hadn't eaten breakfast and we wanted to go someplace to actually have a really good lunch. We found this wonderful restaurant and we sat outside. They turned on the heat for us and we had wonderful drinks and the food was amazing. My husband does not eat fish, and he ended up having tuna and loved it, when talking to our waiter Al he told us that this place has been here for 100 years. We can see why you can't miss this place when you're in Rome please make a point to stop here and share some of these wonderful dishes that they have.Toto

Wonderful attentive service. We were greeted with a smile and a glass of champagne. Our waiter was consistently checking in on us to see if we needed anything. Most importantly the food as spectacular. We for the bruschetta that had some magical cheese on it that was like nothing I've ever had. But the clams and spaghetti were jaw dropping good! Best I have ever had!

We stumbled on this little gem. In the shopping district and close to Spanish stairs. Service was 10 star. Our server, Tanya handled Us with care as we have food allergies. She made sure everything was safe for my teens to eat. Every dish was amazing. I don't understand the other bad reviews clearly I have the opposite experience. Planning on coming back!

We spotted Toto in the early evening, attracted by the lovely outside area, and returned after a few drinks down the street. After a day of travelling, we were eating very early for the area, so the restaurant was empty other than a few drinkers outside. We were warmly greeted and chose our table, then quickly presented with a free half glass of prosecco whilst looking over the menu. Bread was also provided, with the usual circa €2 price per head, but we can never resist a nibble! Neither of us were in the mood for a complex meal and went straight in for main dishes. My cheese and three pepper pasta (a popular combination in the restaurants of Rome, and well worth it) was simple but very well executed. The pasta was perfectly al dente with the sauce complementing rather than overpowering. The other half's macaroni with meat ragu was similar in simplicity, with a bit more depth of flavour due to the meat but still the same balance between pasta and sauce. Service was friendly throughout and never too overpowering. There was a waitress in training who was very sweet and practised some English with us when delivering the bill. Not a stand out meal but a nice first night in the city for us.

Found this cute corner spot walking by and it was a nice surprise inside. The hostess invited us inside and turned on the a/c. The first week of June, a/c is a must for this California girl. The dishes were typical of everything we have found in the area, although, a bit pricey. Caprese salad was good, but not my best, fettuccine a la bolognese was good but pasta was not the best I've had in the area and the veal was a nice change for an Italian plate. Only 3 stars only because we have had better in the area but this was not horrible. Go inside and enjoy your meal under the a/c if you chose to test out.

We came here as it was cute from the outside. However, it is over priced. Also, they bring you bread and charge you for it. Decent food but there are better places to eat in Rome.

Awesome. We were all dressed up looking for a place we had seen the day prior during our travels. I could only recall it was near the Spanish Steps, when we ran across this place. We ordered the bruschetta which was delicious a bottle of wine and our lobster and fettuccini. It was all amazing. We had a great time and a great meal. The waiter was overwhelmed but the device was great. All the people around us looked happy with the food, service and ambiance. I do think I left my skull ring in the bathroom so if they read this please contact me. Thx

Arturo is amazing. Best pasta (Rigatoni w/ Ragu and Lime) we've had in a long time. Great patio on a nice quiet street. 10/10!!

Review # 1200 After…read moresome shopping on the Via cola Di Riemzo, we were ready for lunch. This spot was a Yelp find. We arrived just before they opened at 12:30. We asked for a table outside and the kind lady asked us if we had a reservation (oh oh). We didn't. No problem as we took our pick of one of the tables. Two levels inside with a small Bar in the back. Before we knew it, outside seating was full and inside also filled up-a good sign. We ordered a liter (ended up being too much but when in Rome...) of their house Red and enjoyed it. For starters, we ordered the Fried Artichokes (thick breading and will order the Roman style with garlic/vinegar next time), fried Zucchini and Suppli-Cacio Pepe. The Suppli was delicious and was enjoyed the most. For main, it was Pasta Carbonara (Guanciale )-Proper carbonara and the streak of not having a bad version of this dish in Rome continues. The sliced Beef with mushrooms was also delicious -super tender and thin pieces of beef (medium rare as requested). We asked if the Tiramisu was house-made. Our server answered, "yes, and I am the one who makes it." How could we not order after that?! One of the best Tiramisus we've had. Perfect balance of coffee dipped lady fingers with cream-delicious! Our Server was kind, attentive and full of hustle -she was covering a lot of ground. Don't miss this Gem if you are in the Prati district.

I had possibly the most amazing chick food pasta a girl could imagine. Girls know what girl food is. The pasta in Italy is just better -obviously. But then put all sorts of girl flavors on it like Lemon and Orange, just lightly enough, zest with a small hint of cheese-..... omgosh. Yes, yes, and yes. Need my hubs to replicate at home. He is going to be busy trying to perfect this. Tagliatelle with orange and lemon parmesan. This was it. It was the best. Everything else we ordered was amazing as well. Wait outside. They don't have a sign telling you to wait, no server telling you to wait. You wait out there, wondering if you're in the right place, but then people stand behind you and you're like - oh! I'm here. This is the place. There are possibly 4 tables inside. It's small. I read about them being rude- we did not have that problem. In fact, they made a mistake and we kindly let them know we ordered something else- they corrected it and were nice about it.

So happy we did as this place definitely delivers. There is seriously like 8 tables in the dining room so expect a wait in line but trust me, it's worth it. We waited outside for about 25 minutes. They do take your order while in line so the wait for food (once you do get a table) is abbreviated. Out of the world pastas and the pistachio tiramisu is seriously out of this world. Inexpensive table wine rounds out a great meal. This is the type of place I love to go to. It's quaint, zero pretense and delivers on its food. A great find!
