Sorry if long but worth the read- I have a old house and our pipes were backing up and flooding our bathrooms, twice in 4 months. First time it happened we had a different guy out who just snaked our lines and left. When it happens again, we had a guy from king plumbing out first who said he wouldn't get on the roof to snake pipes (as last guy had to) and when asked about doing a camera inspection it would be $280. GMR came the same day we called and it was even later then usual and I explained what happened before and what was going on currently. Not only did they snake my pipes to get them clear, they also did a camera inspection for no additional charge. They also showed me on the camera exactly where and what was going on with my pipes. So I could actually see myself what they were seeing. They physically marked (with my permission of course) anywhere in the pipe where there was an issue that would need to be addressed. I know in today's world it's easy to get scammed or raked over financially for things like this. But GMR was professional, reliable with same day service, mindful of our problems, and wanted to genuinely help us for long term solution instead of just coming and putting a bandaid and moving on. We needed a new water heater as our old 80gal gas heater started leaking. I received a recommendation for Plumbing Express from one of our home builder. Rob came out and gave us a quote on a new Tankless water heater capable of meeting our whole hose demand. While much more expensive than an old fashioned tank version, the tankless does not continually re-heat the water in the tank and can keep up with our highest water demand without running out. In addition, when I asked for a manufacturer that Plumbing Express doesn't normally install, they accommodated without complaint. This took a couple of days due to equipment availability, but as Rob left, he told me to get additional quotes because he was confident in their capability and pricing. We did get 2 additional quotes and Rob was right! Their pricing was very competitive and his install was flawless. The only minor issue we had was connected the unit to wifi, but this was a bug with the hardware that was solved by calling manufacturer customer support! I used a big, family owned plumbing company (if you're searching, you'll find my review, I'm sure, so I'm not going to mention their name) in September to clear a main sewer line and after 2 times coming out within 4 days I thought it was clear, only to have it back up again 2 months later for the same thing!!! Not willing to trust the job to the original company a 3rd time, I contacted Jerry based on the reviews and I'm so happy I did! He came out on a Sunday - his only day off - and took care of my issue quickly and at half the cost than the other company! Wow talk about express Josh and Austin were super express with 11 stars if I could give it. I had a different plumber come 3 weeks ago with no success and no work done. I was told my the other plumber the work would not be done for approximately another month. I already was waiting on them for 3 weeks. Yet, Josh and Austin received my call this later in the morning and all my toilet and tub plumbing issues were fixed. Hey are proficient, professional and listen to your plumbing needs. When they first came I had little hope and figured it would take weeks so wow everything done the same day. Words cannot express how grateful I am for Josh and Austin. GMR was awesome. I can't remember his name but he's the owner of GMR Plumbing and he was one of the most respectful and helpful contractors I've ever dealt with. He came and did his job well, quick, and with a courteous attitude. That's not all, though. I needed an outside waterline spigot, that was previously and stupidly soldered on, to be replaced. When I called they said they would be there by noon. However, the plumber was not there at noon. In fact, he got to my house around 3:00 PM. Which was TOTALLY fine! He still showed up the SAME DAY I called. When else does a plumber do that? Never, that's when. I am not bothered by the fact they showed up a few hours later then they said because of the quality of the service and the same-day service. GREAT JOB GMR Plumbing!!! read more

Jerry and Austin at GMR saved the day for me. My son and his family had just arrived from Japan for a 3 week visit when the bathtub/shower faucet broke and would not turn off. We had turn the water off to the house, which is not fun at anytime, but worse with 2 little girls needing to be cleaned up frequently. Austin had to go through the back wall and change the valve and then put on a new faucet. Total time from the time I first called till the job was done was 3 1/2 hours. That is exceptional! all that at a VERY reasonable price. I couldn't be happier. It's always great to find a company you can trust, whether it be plumber, electrician or mechanic. We have been suffering through kitchen sink drain issues for months. We are pretty handy so had been snaking the drain ourselves and pretty much stopped using the garbage disposal. It recently became frustrating enough that my husband was willing to call a plumber. We feel so lucky to have found Plumbing Express. Robert and Austin were friendly and knowledgeable and most of all very skilled at their jobs. Long story short, drain cleared COMPLETELY, pipes inspected, and structural problem noted for a very reasonable price. I live in a rental unit and I was having issues with my water heater. Element and and thermostat needed to be replaced. Long story short there was a miscommunication on somebody's part and the thermostat didn't get replaced and I had no hot water for the night and majority of the day. I had to call back and for between my leasing office and Plumbing Express but fortunately their wonderful manager Robert reached out to me and very thoroughly apologized and sent out Jose who was great and completely took apart my water heater and fixed it. Fantastic service! I called on a Sunday and had help by Monday afternoon. I have used GMR Plumbing on three different occasions and have already recommended them for another person to use. That person was also very happy with their price and service. They repaired my broken faucets and replaced a drain sink with ease. They cleaned up after themselves as well. They also snaked our sewer pipe with ease, even getting onto the roof to complete this job. Others had told us that they wouldn't get on the roof to complete this job. Just moved into an older home. Washing machine valves were corroded and leaking. Thought we could handle the job ourselves, but quickly realized we would be in over our heads if we even tried. Found GMR on Yelp. They arrived within two hours of our call and we had our washer and dryer running two hours later. Would have been sooner, if our water main valve wasn't also corroded and needing to be replaced. Loved observing Jerry with his apprentice - patiently showing him the ropes and tricks of the trade. We're very pleased with our experience with GMR Plumbing. Jerry came to our rental the very same day I called at a time that was convenient for our tenant. He replaced one toilet that was cracked and called me to let me know that he would be able to repair the second toilet that was leaking. GMR plumbing is the best! We had called another plumber we found on Yelp to install a new sink but ran into issues with the install and no longer had a kitchen sink! With a party at the house in three days and no sink we called GMR. The owner, Gerry, said he would send out someone to take a look and in less than an hour Robert was at our home to inspect what needed to be done. I contacted Jerry for a broken shower spout Memorial Day evening and after providing him with pictures of the issue, he emailed me a very reasonable quote & we set up an appointment time for the next day. Jerry honored his labor warranty on work he had done for me a year and a half ago. (He replaced water line from meter to house, worked with me on cost and timeline, was great to work with!!) A leak developed at the connection to the meter. Though he no longer works valleywide (lucky you in the Mesa area!), he made the drive to the northwest valley and replaced a cracked brass fitting (!) within 24 hours of my call and at no charge to me. Hired another plumber to come out and unclog the downstairs bathroom (tub and toilet). After an hour and a half he gave up told me that they would have to tear out the tub, jack hammer the concrete and replace the pipe. Called Jerry and told him what was going on..Jerry came out and just over an hour he had the toilet and tub unclogged plus diagnosed another leak for me. My room mate dropped her pedometer down the toilet. She tried plunging but it didn't help so the toilet kept overflowing. I found plumbing express had good reviews so I called. They came out the next day and had to completely remove the toilet to get the pedometer out since it was stuck so securely.
