This isn't my usual Total Wine, but I have been here for a couple of classes and a quick stop a time or two. Not as big as the Euless or Arlington stores, but it has everything you expect from the brand. It is clean, well stocked, and has helpful employees. I can always find something new and interesting here. I also love coming to the classes at any location. You try all kinds of great things, have a snack, and learn a thing or two. If a particular class is sold out, closer to me, it is usually available at the Irving location. That is one of the benefits to a smaller store. It is in a shopping center so parking is easy, and they have curbside pickup if you are in a rush. read more

I love going to familiar places from my hometown of Lynnwood, WA and experiencing a sense of familiarness that feels like home but with a much better experience, when in a new state. I was passing through Texas, and I have to admit, I may have to change my opinion a bit regarding the state. but I digress. I decided that I wanted adult beverages and a cigar, which is custom when I travel somewhere new. I was craving an old fashion ready to drink beverage, Bulliet, and a cigar, Macanudo Cafe Court. Both are inexpensive but definitely delicious. The experience was made so memorable because of my interaction with Eldreia, she is warm, friendly and welcoming. It was so nice to be her customer as I'm a new patron from different state. I very much appreciated the hospitality as if I was a regular customer with an established familiarity. My favorite part of the experience, when I purchase a cigar, is the courtesy, of it being bagged up with a pack of matches. Eldreia, just took care of it like she knew my preference and habits. I love the extra care and attention. It might be just customary, but it felt like I was appreciated and a regular guest. 12/06/25: I was invited to a special allocated bourbon purchase event for Grand Reserve Members. I arrived an hour before opening, and I was number 56 in line. The event was very well organized and I was able to purchase the bottle that I hoped for. The store was very clean and well organized. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great allocated bourbon inventory for the event, and I was able to sample other hard to find bourbons. It was great talking to other Grand Reserve members while we were waiting in the line, and I look forward to the next event! There was plenty of parking available. read more

Love this location the customer service is always outstanding. They have so much to choose from. If you're looking for cigars, they have a chamber that holds various types of cigars along with a few items that can be purchased for example torches and cutters! They have tons of glassware, from martini glasses, rocks, glasses, two plastic wear, everything you need in one stop! Love Total Wine but the service at this location is poor. I needed help finding a specific bourbon. I was directed to a gentleman who was standing near the bourbon aisle by a kind man giving samples. The employee acted like he didn't see or hear me. I spoke louder so he could hear me. He seemed disinterested in helping me and didn't look at me while addressing me. He then waived me down the aisle I was just in. I said "i must have missed it, it would be helpful if you could direct me. " He then showed me where it was. It shouldn't take all that to get assistance from a man standing idly by doing nothing. The service upon checkout by a woman cashier was also unpleasant. Prior to this location opening, I seldom shopped at Total Wine & More because there was not one conveniently located along my route. This location opened towards the end of 2019 and it quickly changed that for me as I drive past this location going to/from my office. Also, it is in the same strip mall as my dry cleaners and being able to check off 2 tasks in one stop always works for me. Of course, just as I grew accustomed to shopping here along came the Covid-19 shelter at home orders and since my role was non-essential when it came to work in the office my visits became less frequent. That said the few visits I do make to the office I make sure to stop by this location and replenish my stock. Like most TW&M locations, this one is large and carries a wide selection. I have never gone in looking for a specific item and come out empty-handed; they seem to always have what I want. In addition, the wide selection, another thing I like here is how friendly and helpful the staff always is. This was true prior to Covid-19 and continues to be the case during these days of Covid-19. Whether it's to ask for a recommendation or just being pointed in the proper direction for a specific label, they are always willing to provide the necessary assistance. Considering their voice tone, I am sure they are doing all of this with a smile beneath the mask they wear. When it's time to pay, they always have more than enough lanes open and checkout process always goes smoothly. For those who care, they cashiers are wearing masks and gloves along with being behind a plexiglass barrier. As for paying, the prices are some of the best around when compared to other liquor stores. Also, they have a rewards program that leads to even deeper discounts. Friday night tastings! That is where it is at. The selection at this location truly cannot be beat. They rotate the selection for the tastings too and also sometimes they do a theme. Whether you are a true blue vino lover or you are merely desiring something to pair with dinner you are going to find something here. Not only that the sales folks that work here really do know their stuff. Many times I've walked in really not knowing what to buy for a run club event/poolside/crowd pleasers and they know exactly the aisle to point me to. I am not really a liquor fan all like that but if you are they have what you need as well. And they sell the baby bottles of stuff so sometimes if I want to grab something as a gift or individual beverage I will go to this section. The manager Derek today at 8pm accused me of pocketing a mini bottle. He threatened me to call the police if I didn't empty my pockets. He claimed he saw me putting a mini bottle in my pocket which was completely false. I showed my empty pockets just for him to rudely say to me "where did you put it?". I showed the bottle in my hand with my cell phone which I was using at the time. He just said "Ok" and walked away. I will be calling Total Wine HR and filing a complain about this manager. UPDATE: Increasing my review to 5-stars based on Total Wine and More's response to COVID--offering contactless curbside pickup for orders placed online (available by next business day and notifications are sent by email and/or text). I've been so thankful for this option which has saved me from the heavy crowds on weeknights and weekends as this is a very popular store in Irving/Las Colinas. Ordering online you can also filter by local, expert/customer ratings, price...Despite the options being more limited online than in store, I'll take this any day over the potential exposure/risk of in-store shopping and have tried some great whiskey, gin, cream liquors, and hard seltzer based on the expert/customer ratings. The staff who have checked my ID and placed purchases in our car have been very pleasant and courteous - wearing gloves and masks as an extra precaution and providing speedy service. Additionally, and shamefully, when a bottle of Japanese whiskey slipped out of my hands in the parking lot, the management was super understanding and helpful which demonstrated incredible customer service. read more

Total Wine and More is great stores that has any spirit that you could ask for...well almost! On the weekends they have tasting stations all over the store. They also have really good specials on wine if you buy six from their select offerings that I have found to be very good wines. I visited the Irving location during their grand opening as I heard they had a couple of specials. Upon entering they had someone greet me with samples of their a chocolate peppermint like mixer that goes into your hot chocolate. Which is crazy, because that was literally what I had come in there for among other items. I added that to my cart and kept it moving. Throughout every step of my adventure I had employees asking if I needed assistance, or just saying hi. It was great. I went in there for 2 bottles and somehow walked out with 6 because the team was on point with suggestions. My only con is I spent well over $100 and the young lady who checked me out asked me if I had a phone number listed; I said no and she left it at that. She failed to mention that I could be getting points with all of my purchases, luckily I was able to register online and submit my receipt and still qualify for points. This location has seriously gone down hill. Walked up to the checkout lanes and it appeared that two were active. I went to place my two items on the belt when the checker said rudely "my light is off". I went to get in the other line and noticed that both lane lights were not on. Anyhow, the first checker finished up with her last customer then proceeded to wander around the area doing nothing while the line backed up in the only lane "open". Meanwhile, another employee, Adonis, was muttering curse words while working in the same area saying "we're all making the same amount" and "you don't even f-ing work here". Not sure what was going on with him (appeared to be a issue with the lady passing out samples) but it's certainly not a good look to customers. Life is to short to deal with service employees with attitudes. I'll head to Goody Goody or Specs next time. No doubt they'll appreciate the customers that are supporting thier wages. read more

I had a horrible experience at this place due to one person. I don't know what type of issues she is going through in her life. But I do believe you should not bring that attitude with you to work especially when you work in customer service. The issue was when the cashier TIFFANY asked my wife for her ID and my wife told her she would have to go to the car and grab it. TIFFANY was so bothered by this it seemed to really inconvenience her. Anyway if you ever do visit this place just avoid TIFFANY. She will definitely not be happy to assist you! read more

So glad Las Colinas got a Total Wine & More! It has become a regular spot for me to pickup wine and beer as the product offering is extensive and prices are very competitive (arguably even better than Kroger, Target, Specs, etc.). I love this location. It is conveniently across the street from Target and Kroger, making it an easy stop after grocery shopping. Parking lot is huge and never an issue. Every staff worker is very polite and knowledgeable in offering advice when needed. Store is spacious, nice interior, very organized, and always clean. I could spend hours walking down the wine aisles enchanted by all the regions, varietals, blends, etc. Brings me back to some of the best wines I've had in Europe. Speaking of - I love their Italian wine selection. The best and most offerings anywhere around. I have never purchased a bad Chianti or White Italian wine from here. Total Wine has handled COVID well. Whether it be instore or curbside pickup, both are convenient and quick. I usually do curbside since I try to avoid going inside the store. It is so easy to shop online the day before or day of and just show up and have an associate load your car. After running some errands decided to stop by here for the first time and I was super impressed. This Total Wine is in the now defunct Toy's R' Us building (pause to hear the sound of my heart breaking as a little piece of my childhood has died). It is a little bit of a smaller Total Wine than I am use to, but after talking to the staff there are plans to expand it and add more product--especially since they've only been open a month. I was greeted as I went to the wine section and tried to find a wine I had previously purchased for my aunt. Unfortunately I did not find it, but I did discover that by downloading their app I could track my previous purchases and view my rewards. The staff was super helpful especially Chad, who is a sommelier. He checked in on me as I tried to find this wine only to discover that they did not carry it. I ended up telling him that I wanted to try more Sauvignon Blanc's as I drink more chardonnay's currently and he made some great recommendations. Chad was more than happy to help me and did not hesitate to take the time and really talk to me. He told me more about his experience and was so encouraging. I ended up taking home a bottle of albarino, which is a nice in between chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. I am sipping it now and it is delicious especially with a salad and cheese. The only reason I'm giving it a 3 stars is because I bought 10 bottles of wine today because of their 15% off. (Today only)They then only took off 10%. After I said something about it they explained it is good on only 8 bottles and they gave me the 10% off all ten instead BUT I read the small print and it said 8 OR more bottles. So I normally love this place. Last week i noticed they had no mask signs up, which made me happy. So today I go back, as I was walking I thought this heavy set man in a white shirt ( guess manager) I said how are you? I said I'm good( I had my ear buds in) , he abruptly says "No, where is your mask"? I told him there are no signs up. He was adamant they are up front when you walk in. I said there's none, but i was done and walked to the front, as I walked away he said they will make you put it on up front. Go to cashier who was polite and nice, never asked me for my mask. Been to plenty liquor stores before and have always used my passport as an I.D. Well for the firs time in my entire life have I felt discriminated against. Since when is a passport not a proper type if I.D? They take foreign passports for everything, even to fly but they won't take it to sell you a bottle of liquor? Went into the store and I was told by the manager that it wasn't a proper I.D and when I asked why, he said they only take U.S passports and he walked off, didn't even let me finish explaining how I've used it plenty of times before even in this store and nobody had ever said anything to me. I've been a regular customer of three other locations and found the lack of team members around to help rather irritating. I go to Total Wine specifically when I'm not sure what to buy because I've gotten a lot of great help in the past.
