I've come here on an off for years. If you enjoy cigars now is the best time to come. Operations on two visits (I don't smoke cigars as often now) have been incredibly tight. Staff is on point, excellent touch points to make sure you're well taken care of. Honestly? I've visited many cigar lounges over the years of travel. This place is easily one of the top that I've visited in my travels. Only one stands out as possibly better and I have to hop on a plane to NYC to get there. I love Elite! The staff is always friendly, the vibe is always chill, and the food is surprisingly good. Shout out to David the cook. They could definitely improve on the alcohol pours (hint, hint). I'm always disappointed with the pour on my "kettle one" on the rocks, even when I order a double. Consistently Top Notch - My Go-To Cigar Spot I've been to Elite Cigar Cafe three times now, and every visit has been on point. The bar staff is attentive and friendly--Ashley even remembered my name! She and Amanda were both quick, welcoming, and on top of their game. Tut runs the humidor like a pro. I'm not a cigar expert yet, but I know what I like, and he nailed my taste profile with his suggestions. Every recommendation has been spot on. Great humidor, things all stacked around everywhere there is a place to sit it. Gives off a Harry Potter movie store vibe, but believe me it is organized. Staff was knowledgable. Asked me what I was looking for, gave a few recommendations based off what I like. After buying my Perdomo 10th Anniversary I went over to the bar area which is well ventilated. It was also medium lit, dimly lit enough to give a good cozy vibe, even though it was 3pm I was there, yet bright enough where everything is clearly visible, readable etc. Ordered a drink to go with my cigar and the price was really reasonable. It was like $12 for a coke and some bourbon in a glass. The only downside I have for this place, and it does not affect my rating on it, is he location in DFW compared to where I usually am. Its in Addison, so a little further up north than I would like (Im usually more around the I-20/I-30 part of town. That being said, I will most likely make the drive up next time I have a few hours free. read more

As a place to smoke a cigar great; when comes to service for drinks are food, bottom of the barrel. Our server, who also working the bar, had the opposite of friendliness and was slooooow on top of that-and wasn't busy! This is the third time in a row we have had this type of poor service here. Their humidor is second to none. An incredible selection. The guys working there are fantastic as well, don't be shy - ask! The space has some comfy lounge chairs as well as booths & tables in the bar area. There's an outside patio as well but not when it's 100° outside! They have a very large selection of cigars. Great place to hangout. The draw back is that they do not have enough servers to handle large crowds. You will have to wait a long time to get a server's attention to order a drink. The service is not any faster at the bar. Also, the ventilation system is not good. The whole place will smell like smoke and you will smell like smoke when you leave. This is a cigar bar, you should expect to be around a ton of smoke and smell like smoke when you leaves. The food here is surprisingly good. I have had the burger, buffalo chicken sandwich, and pizza. All were good. The service is actually good when there is not a crowd. I remember when this place was only a cigar shop and did not have the café. Back then they had a large humidor with a great selection of cigars. I'm happy to say the addition of the 'café' did not change this. They still have a large humidor with a great selection of cigars. For the most part the cigars are priced nicely. On occasion I've come across a cigar that I know I can get cheaper elsewhere but that is rare. The addition of the café makes this the perfect place to relax, have a drink or two and smoke amazing cigars. The food is added bonus. They have a wide variety of menu selections; from brunch type items to grilled salmon and ribeye steak. I've always had the more typical sports bar items: chips/salsa, wings, etc. These are always tasty and hit the spot for me. The bar is well stocked with a lot of my favorite vodkas (Ciroc, Kettle, etc) along with some decent cognac. And everything is nicely priced. They also have several TVs that are usually tuned into various games depending on the season. They also have a great patio which usually has a TV on it. The staff here is always friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable on what they carry/stock. My cigar palette is fairly well developed so it's rare that I'm looking for recommendation on what to smoke. My questions are always "do you carry....." and "where is located". In the rare event they don't carry what I'm looking for, they recommend something similar which has always turned out to be a nice smoke. If there was one thing I'd like to change about the Elite Cigar Café would be to have a few more big comfy leather chairs/couches in the cigar shop. I feel this part of the shop could be expanded a bit. That said, the café definitely is a good compromise. Elite Cigar Café continues to be one of my favorite cigar shops in the Dallas area. This place can get pretty packed, inside and out! Please note that this cigar cafe has tons of regulars and it can get very loud! So just keep that in mind! I haven't been to many cigar bars so when I was invited to go I jumped at the chance. I was in town for my daughter's baby shower and didn't want to hang around with her friends so my son in law invited me to come with him and we ended up here. It seemed that he has been here a few times and he thought I would like it. He was right I thoroughly enjoyed it! Upon arriving we went into their humidor. It was very large and there were a huge inventory of cigars to choose from. After walking around for a while, I couldn't make up my mind so I asked if they had any Cuban cigars. He laughed and suggested a Dominican cigar which I accepted and proceeded to check out. After purchasing the cigars we went to the bar side and found a table and ordered a few drinks. The bar looked very well stocked with most all brands that you could choose from.They had several TV's over the bar that we could see from our table and were able to watch some college football. We didn't order any food but after reading a few Yelp reviews after I returned home, I wish we had. We had very good service and it was an enjoyable time. Ive been here a few times before and i have enjoyed myself with no issues. But tonight has changed my viewpoint if this trend of service continues. Sat at the bar, smoked with only one beverage. Thats it and at one point i was ready to tab out. It took thirty minutes to get pid out give or take. I took some time to let the two bartender gals do their thing. But the timing or attendance was horrendous. All around me, both new and older patrons were taking care of quite quickly. I did my best to remain fair but as the minutes going on to give the cues that i was done. Book down. Phone down. Smoke out and so on. Nothing. Not a single acknowledgment after i sat down and ordered my single beverage. No refills, no check ups. Nothing until i was able to get the attention of one of them with the universal check out hand gesture and all i got was a little joke (wasnt terrible, i just didnt hear her properly) and was not helped out even after getting her attention finally until i had to walk up to the register to get my bill. The service before with previous were great and on time with it. But tonight was very annoying that the other patrons were handled as easily as it could've been. But the bartenders tonight were not good. Between keeping up with the cleaning and drink making (fair enough) BUT between mingling and being in their phones here and there. Wow. The attitude observed between me and the others were night and fucking day. I would love to come back and chill. But if the two bartenders are there. I am very hesitant to stock around. By all means, check the joint out. Have a smoke from their store (that got handled quickly at least) just take note that the bar service is a coin toss. As a service worker from before. I would've given a bigger tip. No disrespect to the workers but tonight was not that night. read more

Staying outside of Dallas in Addison/Plano, TX for a business trip, I happened to notice Elite Cigar Cafe come up on my radar AKA my Yelp app. Liking a good cigar as I do and seeing it was a stone's throw away from my hotel, it was a no-brainer I had to check this one out. ECC is unique in that one side is a complete cigar shop/lounge and on the other side a eatery and bar on the other side. You can enjoy your cigars on both sides. That means that Elite took care of both of my likes in one trip, food/drink and a good cigar. Definitely like this type of layout and atmosphere. The store side is excellent. A huge walk in humidor with a massive amount of different types/brands of stogies to pick from. If you are not quite sure what to go for, I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Thumbs up on the good service for the cigar store, I was truly impressed. However crossing over to the bar/eats side while enjoying my selection for the night, I found I turned into the Invisible Man. The guy behind the bar did everything but acknowledge my existence and take my order. Luckily a nice young lady did eventually come along and set things right. A great selection of beers, drinks, and food can be found here. I settled for the meat, cheese, and fruit plate on the apps section. It was a very large amount of all three foods stated and for nine bucks, a pretty good deal to fill you up while you enjoy a beer or drink and your cigar. Bottom line: An excellent cigar store and bar/eatery in one. Except for a very frustrating long wait when crossing over to get something to eat and drink, I thoroughly enjoyed my two visits here at ECC. After a second incident at Elite, I will not be going back EVER. The rudeness of the management is despicable and not in the least professional. It takes a lot for me to leave a bad review but this one is well deserved. I wish I could leave zero stars. The manager basically told us we were lying when we brought the problem with our food to his attention. We gave him specific details and he tried to tell us different. It makes no sense that you don't listen to your customers and their concerns. The service is HORRIBLE and the food and drinks mediocre at best. And my friend said their cigar wasn't the same as one they got at another spot, even though it had the same name and label. Between bad service, an off-brand cigar falsely labeled and management telling us we were lying, it made for a horrible experience. Never again! read more

I've been frequenting Elite for several years and my experiences have been great. Today, 15 February 2023, was drastically different. I went to Elite with a few coworkers and we ordered drinks and food. After one hour, the food was not ready. I asked the waitress about it and she said that they had just received a shipment and the food would ready soon. After two hours, the food was still not ready. I asked again and the manager said she was sorry. I asked if I had been refunded and the manager said yes. I understand that things happen, however, two hours for chicken and burger sliders is completely unacceptable. I've been coming here for the last two and a half years. I enjoyed Elite back then when I started, and it's only gotten better as times gone by. I'll be breaking down why I give this place a 5* review in the following categories: cigar selection, food quality, atmosphere, and staff. Cigar Selection: Elite had a FANTASTIC humidor stocked with pretty much anything you could ever want. I've had my tastes expanded time and time again, and continually try new things here. If there's anything negative I can think of, there might be too many cigars to choose from. You won't be disappointed by the selection. Elite is also one of just a handful of TAA licensed retailers in the area, so you have access to TAA exclusive brands as well. Food Quality: Eat here. Just do it. For bar food, Elite pretty much has some of the best around. The steak and the pork quesadillas are always phenomenal and come with salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. The French dip sandwich is also fantastic here. The prices are reasonable and the food tastes great. Shoutout to the chicken tenders too for being a great and filling bargain meal. Happy hour deals are excellent and Sunday's feature $2.5 beers and $2.5 chips and queso as well (which comes with salsa) Atmosphere: It's a cigar bar. There's going to be smoke. Don't like a smoky room? Go on the patio, it has heaters for even when it's cold. The atmosphere is almost always lively as people hang around chatting and watching games. Elite makes a phenomenal spot to gather some friends and watch football or basketball at any time. I regularly meet up with friends here to either watch some sports or just hang out with people I haven't seen in months. Staff: The staff here is excellent. Unless you're the kind of person who goes into a humidor looking for the one cigar they've smoked every single day religiously for the past 10 years, ask for a recommendation. I've only ever been recommended a "meh" cigar ONCE, and it was by a former employee who now works elsewhere. Otherwise I only have good things to say about recommendations I've received, in fact some of the recommendations I've gotten I liked so much I constantly am debating whether to smoke another or try something else new. Cut and dry, the staff is fantastic, they're super personable, have a wealth of knowledge regarding cigars, and are super fun when you get to know them. At the end of the day, I strongly recommend checking Elite out. Two strong thumbs up. When I first came here two and a half years ago it was initially just as a place to buy some cigars to smoke. Then as time went on, I realized it was an awesome spot to watch a game or two while smoking. Then I realized it was a great spot to eat, smoke, watch a game, and just hang out in general. Great atmosphere. The crowd is a good mix and if you are into cigars, everyone is willing to share their knowledge and experience. The atmosphere is laid back and the music is low so people can socialize without screaming. Clientele is not pretentious or snobby like some cigar bars. The drink prices are great. Stopped to buy a cigar, enjoy it while having a couple drinks before dinner. Cigar selectstill good, and helpful staff there. However, service in the bar has declined to the point it's pathetic. The servers won't get out from behind the not-busy bar to even take our drink order. After 10 minutes of waiting I got up and walked to the bar and ordered. When the drinks were delivered, no one even ASKED if we were interested in ordering from the menu. We're eating elsewhere. Ugh. Sad. read more
