Smaller tobacco/cigar stores commonly engage in pricing shenanigans, but Montfort Cigars is a notable exception. The prices are fair, and actually superior to big box outlets like Total Wine & More. Their selection is also quite formidable relative to their size. Since I usually know what I'm looking for, or at least the style, I don't typically require help from a Catador. This might be the one drawback here, though it doesn't personally impact my shopping experience. The surrounding area is rather spartan, and isn't the nicest, but I wouldn't let that stop you from trying Monfort Cigars out. The adjacent Super Target is quite large so you can maybe combine trips or use that as a good pretense for grabbing a few choice stogies. I also like the fact that they don't carry vapes, as the contagion as it were dampens the entire atmosphere usually. If you happen to be looking for a place to sit down and smoke one of your purchases, this probably isn't it. It's not that you couldn't, it just doesn't seem adequately appointed for that. read more

Stopped in on a whim....closer to closing time than would be considered polite. The gentleman was polite and was in no hurry to rush me and my selections. Love the owner he's so nice and never makes you feel silly for asking anything...which is nice for a novice or someone shopping for family/friend and know nothing. They have an absolutely astounding collection. WOW! I've shopped all over the world for cigars with my hubbie and this place is the least expensive by far! NO KIDDING! Notice I didn't say cheap....nothing in hear is "cgeap" quality...the owner only has the highest of standards and knows a thing or two about a good stoagie...If you're looking for an extra cigar box or 5 he's also happy to oblige for FREE.... My rating is primarily based off of the cigar selection and the prices. This isn't necessarily the place you'd want to go hang out and have a smoke, but it's great to drop in and grab a few sticks. The prices are good and they have a decently stocked humidor. Theres a very small seating area with a couple chairs but it's not the fanciest place in the world. Also there's no food or drinks and the tv is pretty small. Again, good for restocking. read more

Just a store. Was looking for a lounge. Four chairs grouped in the front of the store doesn't equate to a lounge. No place to work or hang out without someone being right on top of you. Maybe rent is too pricy in the part of town because I haven't found this within range of this store. Selection was decent but were out of my brand (Tatuaje). If running to grab a few sticks to smoke elsewhere, I guess it would be fine, but for the price...I'd opt for Specs. read more

Don't judge a book by its cover. Although the exterior is rather un impressive, their humidor is large and well stocked. Great variety of all the brands you would expect and seemed to be very well climate controlled, didn't see any cigars that were cracked, dry, moldy, etc as I've seen in some other cigar shops. Only complaint is that it was a bit pricey, about a dollar a cigar over normal retail prices. read more

And a huge fan...I visit this shop to get my weekend fill and unlike my experience of a certain Los Angeles cigar lounge the customer service is spot on. The staff is not all on you or behind your back, but they allow you to browse and decide of the many and I mean many sorts of cigars they have. One reviewer wrote, don't let the outside fool you.
