As someone who enjoys the leaf, upon moving to Dallas 7+ years ago, finding an awesome cigar shop was a priority for me and Cigar Warehouse quickly became that place. During this time, they relocated from a much smaller location to where they currently reside which has a lot more space. They took advantage of this space and created a huge walk-in humidor along with establishing a couple of lounge areas which included TVs. As with everything else, due to the arrival of covid, they have made a few adjustments to ensure safety. For openers, as per local ordinance and mask is required to enter the store. Both entrances to the walk-in humidor have hand-sanitizer stations with signs requiring the use of the hand-sanitizer before entering the humidor. They are restricting the lounge capacity to allow for physical distancing. The staff here continues to be very knowledgeable when it comes to cigars and the necessary accessories. They are very aware of their inventory and whether a specific item is available. In the event it is unavailable, they will recommend something similar to try. On my most recent visit, I called ahead of time to check on two different cigar labels, one which they had and unfortunately, the other they do not stock (it is a boutique/small batch cigar label which can be difficult to locate). These are interesting time we are currently experiencing and places like this are adjusting as best they can to safely accommodate customers. To assist with this, you can call ahead and place your order which they will have at the counter upon your arrival. Cigar Warehouse continues to be my cigar shop of choice. I came in there with no experience at all and after two visits I feel confident enough to browse and try new kinds but I will forever remember the first cigar they recommended to me. I've been buying sticks here for a few years but ....never again. Drove up to pickup a call-in order and when I got there the manager (in sunglasses) says "we're closed." I mentioned that I had just called and was there for the order and he say "I said we're closed! I don't speak nothing but English!" Not sure what he hoped to gain or prove by saying this to a customer, let alone another adult, but needless to say the place will never get another dime from me or anyone I know. Apparently Dallas Code Compliance was there for reasons I'm not aware of, but a business owner should know being rude to customers kills your business. read more

I've been going to Cigar Warehouse on NCX for years. Today, I stopped in for a couple tins of my favorite CAOs and ended up buying two new torches as well. Unfortunately, going over my receipt when I got home later that afternoon I realized that I had been overcharged by nearly $25 without even realizing it. And since their register receipts aren't itemized and their merchandise isn't individually priced, it's probably not worth driving back halfway across town to dispute. I'll make sure to be more diligent about this sort of thing in the future at my new cigar store. read more

This place is great! I was in from Jersey for a Bar Mitzvah, and wanted to bring a selection to a party that I was going to. The selection is phenomenal and the pricing is reasonable. I asked for a discount because I was buying over 10 individuals, and they gave me a discount! It was very nice of them to do so. They had all my favorite brands and the smell of the smoking cigars just made me want to buy more. The attendant was friendly and I told him what I liked and he showed me where my favorites were and suggested but wasn't pushy so I bought a few that I was not familiar with. Nope. The selection was decent enough but I feel the tobacco is probably compromised with the amount of smoke in the store/humidor. The entire storefront is the humidor and everyone was smoking in there. Also, the staff and clientele resembled that of a head shop as oppose to a cigar establishment. There was a lounge in the back, but I didn't bother. Between the lack of cleanliness and appearance and decorum of the staff...I couldn't get out quick enough. Not my cup of tea. read more

Nice little spot to get away and have a smoke. Not very good for a large group. But well fitting for a party of 2-5. A bit smokey, ventilation not strong. Smoke hover thru the air in lounge and front counter ( but its a cigar bar). The lounge area though is small, has very comfy chairs and 4 32in T.V. that's visible from any seat. Pricing is very good and BYOB is a plus. Overall it will defitnetly make it back. I have been to the cigars shop on Greenville, 75 by Knox,-henderson another in Addison, and the several small humidified rooms in various liquors stores. This shop by far has the best selection and most informative staff that I have been too in the metroplex. I have been every Sunday afternoon over the past two months and Macro has been there every time to help parse their wide selection. Stopped by here during a recent visit to Dallas. Wanted to see if it would live up to its billing. It did not disappoint. The whole store is a humidor. And even on a sweltering Texas day the inside of the store was not stuffy. After making my purchase, one in our group asked about a house blend. The owner said that had one and because we were "out of towners" gave us each one on the house. Can't beat that, great prices and a free stick. read more

One of the best cigar stores i've been to in a while. I stopped by here a couple weeks ago to grab some sticks before a hockey game and the staff was great and the selection was just as good. The staff definitely knew their sticks and gave me a few suggestions for the road even which I took up. The wide selection is definitely a good reason to stop by here if you're in the area. CW has by far the best prices in town and will even match anything an online retailer advertises. Their cigars are well kept in their store, it seems odd the whole store being a humidor but as a true cigar aficionado I love this place. It's the candy store for cigar lovers. The GM, Marcos is phenomenal, great knowledge of cigars and he has an incredible palate so he can really assist you in finding the right cigar. The owner Eliot looks like a skinny Santa Claus but also is very personable and has a wealth of knowledge about the cigar industry. Smoking lounge is small, one large and plush couch and then stack-able chairs. They are great for stocking up your humidor or coming and getting cigars for a weekend out. The staff as a whole is by far the most knowledgeable staff of any shop in DFW. Lew, Roland, and Laura can all walk you up and down all over the story and detail for you the nuances of their very large selection of cigars. It's incredibly impressive. . read more

The Dallas location is terrific. Excellent humidor. Selection is the best I've seen in the city, and their prices are reasonable. The Plano location is fine, but it's only a store, while Dallas has a nice lounge where you can enjoy a cigar. I've been a few dozen times over the years, and it's always a good time. I'll usually see a good mix of regulars and newbies, and the crowd is always enjoyable. You really get a sense of community that's centered around enjoying good cigars and sharing a beverage or 2. It really is a great group of people. The staff has been solid over the years too. Most are friendly and helpful. Some of the folks really know tobacco and have given me a few great recommendations. A few have been a bit cigar-snobbish but I've seen far worse at other shops. A few tips and expectations- -Don't be a jerk. I've enjoyed the lounge 2-3 dozen times. Never, and I mean ever have I had a bad time. The scene is always enjoyable, so don't mess it up. -It can get smokey in there. This place can draw a crowd, especially when they host some marque events. When dozens of people are smoking inside it's gonna stink, and there's not much they can do about it. -Don't expect rock bottom online prices in any retail store, but this owner is fair. I've seen other shops charge obscene prices. But this guy doesn't, and he's got an impressive inventory. I believe they do some sort of competitor price match but I don't know the terms. -Don't bring your own cigars and sit in their lounge. If you're going to take up a seat for a few hours, then buy some product. If you're the "connoisseur" type that feels compelled to bring your aged cigars, then walk into the humi and buy a handful of sticks, and then have the courtesy to ask the manager. There is a tip jar by the register. Personally I'm indifferent to tipping if I'm walking in n out for a quick purchase. But if you're going to sit there and enjoy the scene, then show a little love to the people that are picking up around you. They do a good job of keeping it clean and enjoyable. CW is hands down the best place in town. read more

Very strong price specifically on the Rocky Patel Edge series and the LFD. Staff said that they will price match anyone. They also show msrp prices vs. the prices that they charge, which is mostly marketing to me. Ventilation is not good, but that's not uncommon. I understand that if a cigar shop has great ventilation, then you help pay for it through higher cigar prices, so it's a tradeoff that I can live with. They are great at making suggestions for brands they think I might like based upon my normal purchases. I have discovered brands I may not have tried otherwise. This is the place for cigars! It is my go to place for anything cigar. The guys are always helpful and give good advice. One of the best things is the prices. You can't beat them anywhere in the Metroplex. I've actually had a broken lighter and 3-4 cigar selections that I didn't like. They replaced all of them for me without question. I even had one expensive $70 lighter that my dog chewed up. I mean destroyed! I made a joke to them about it and they told me to bring it in and they would replace it. I told them no it was not the lighters or their fault. They replaced it anyway! I am a customer for life!!! read more
