Worst experience ever. I'm in search of a new optometrist…read morebecause my other one is just too far unfortunately and looking for something local. I called to schedule an appt here and right of the bat the receptionist was short and rude and was basically like "what do you want 12, 12:15, 12:30 like what" Which should've told me they have so much availability because why would anyone want to come here. I wanted to think maybe he's having a bad day and the whole office isn't like that But he's the only one in the office. It was empty and no one was in there I still scheduled and came in He was slouching over his chair and didn't welcome me in. He said my insurance wasn't on file even though I gave him all my information on the phone including my social There's no waiting area And I was standing for 20 min until I asked if o could pull the chair in front of him to sit down His response "yah" So I ended up not doing my eye exam This place is not gonna last here. Will not recommend and will not be recommending since I'm local.

Update: Dr. Liu called me personally and we are working things out. So great to see a professional…read morego above and beyond the call of duty to make things right in the eyes of the customer. Below is the history but "all's well that ends well." On September 30, 2020, Dr. Liu gave me a complete eye examination and fitted me for contact lens. I was not told that the prescription was only good for the brand listed. When I went to Costco they told me I could not buy Costco lenses because my prescription was limited to the one brand Dr. Liu prescribed. I called Dr Liu's office on my way in to get the prescription modified to include the Costco brand but she was not in the office that day. I called several times after that to try to get an appointment and was told to leave my number which I did but never got a call back. Because these lens were going to be a backup and because I rarely wear them, I was not in a hurry to get them and because my prescription specifically said it expired one year later, September 30, 2020, I assumed I had until then to get the brand changed and buy a year's worth of contact lenses. I called again today a couple of times and the first time got the same message to leave my number and I would be called back. I never got a call back but on the 2nd call I did get through to someone. I was told that Dr. Liu has a policy that even though the prescription is good for one year, if you do not come back within 6 months, you have to pay for another complete examination to get the brand changed. I informed Dr. Liu's assistant that if I have to pay for another complete examination, I will be going elsewhere. So, what I learned is that your prescription is limited to the brand on the prescription and with Dr. Liu, you have 6 months (or maybe 3 months) to go back and get the brand changed or you will have to pay for a whole new examination even though your prescription is valid for an entire 12 months.

Dr Christine and her staff, apparently won't make prescriptions in glasses you already own, (or…read morewant to purchase) that are valued over $250. Reason is, In case they break them they're not liable, which a simple document would suffice, but that's their policy...ok that's fine. However, they won't give you your own pupillary distance (PD) measurement to make sure the glasses you do get made are perfect for your eyes. UNBELIEVABLE! A policy, ( I was told by their receptionist) to force you to use them to have them made, and cut down on internet sold glasses. So you pay Target's eye doctor for a full exam and retinal scan, but they hold hostage your PD to try to force a prescription made with glasses you don't want. TERRIBLE customer service rep and TERRIBLE POLICY.

Hello Let me start…read moreoff by saying that Dr Spaeth and his team are real pros!!!!!!. I am convinced that with doctor's knowledge and experience he will fix it or get you the best referral to treat your vision issues. The first person in our family to make contact with the doctor was my brother Chris, when during mountain bike riding accident he experienced a handful of coarse sand launched into his eyes. The pain was immense and he completely lost vision in one eye, driving with one eye he reached the Dr. Spaeths office, and chris was very happy that all the coarse sand was cleaned off his contact lenses and the sclera and he recovered all his vision back. My eye adventure was much more dangerous, as one morning I woke up with a cobweb floater taking up 33% of my vision, urgent care said it was nothing to worry about and should go away soon, well the floater was still there several days later, so listening to my brothers recommendation I made an appointment with Dr. Spaeth's office asap, turns out i had a detached retina and needed immediate surgery to save the vision in my eye. Heavy? You better believe it, and Dr Spaeth diagnosed the situation correctly and he took immediate action and made a call and got me an appointment at the best ophthalmology center in the country ( just the opinion of many) in Orange California. Not only did the surgeon save my vision (including peripheral vision) my eyes reaction time was as good as usual as i returned to playing competitive tennis. The recovery time was difficult and long and Dr Spaeth was there for me every step of the way. Fast forward to my 90 plus year old mom who has had countless eye infections and has extreme dry eyes that at times were so painful she would scream in pain. (after deciding to ditch the large eye center down south she decided to give Dr Spaeth a try, and I am happy to say she is back normal with very little pain. So as far as a rating I would give Dr. Spaeth and his team (who were very patient, knowledgeable and understanding) 1,000 out of 1,000. Mike, daidre, and chris
