Fortunately it only stunk up a nearby bag in the dryer, I pulled sock out and put it on a machine away from me. No big deal, just weird. A masked lady who worked there was always around. 2nd time fine. 3rd-4th times fine. Last week, I washed and dried all my sheets and blankets using several machines. I read, answered emails during that time. I unloaded the dryers and my most expensive blanket was gone. I looked around, everyone on their phones, masked lady can't be found. Even tho I'm a perfect tenant, I was pushed out of my home recently, I'd always paid the rent, respectful to everyone, an influx of illegals tripled our rent and everyone except illegals , their friends, and a few wealthy tenants got to stay. It was city-wide. I can't ever afford that specific blanket ever again, they may think they struck gold, but I can't help it, I don't respect thieves nor liars. They cheap and low. I refuse to have to sit and stare at my laundry while it's drying. I was very upset for rest of day that anyone would steal from poor people, that's entirely gross. I'm not going to insult animals by calling them animal names, and I'm not going to call them slimy. Of course I won't have anything to do with that slimy place again. Thousands of other laundromats not too different, but not there.

Recently, I brought a brand new dress to get altered. Once I received it back from alterations, there was a giant black stain on the front of my new dress. They argued with me and declined that they had gotten the stain on there when it could have not come from anywhere else given the dress was brand new. They would only pay me 1/2 the amount of the cost of the dress, leaving me high and dry 3 weeks before I was supposed to wear it as a bridesmaid. As a loyal customer I would've expected more from Select Cleaners. Clearly they do not value customer loyalty and are not an honorable business. Unfortunately, will not be recommending family and friends to their business.

At the beginning of 2020 I picked up an 800 dollar sweater I got from Nieman Marcus and it was shrunk so small the bottom of it wouldn't go past my belly button. Could barely get it on or over my arms. When I took it back and said they clearly washed it instead of dry cleaned it, or did something else to it, they said they would put it in their stretch machine. I said I would still like to talk to the owner about this and they said I would get a call from the owner and I never did. Well then Covid hit and then I got stuck overseas as well so I couldn't pick it up until early fall. I finally got back, tried it on, and it was still two sizes too small and they said too much time had passed. I reminded them that the situation was remedied in time, it was already put through the stretcher within days of them shrinking it, I just couldn't pick it up until later because of Covid and being stuck overseas. They told me the owner would definitely call me and I have never received a call. I was going to go back in there and complain but now I'm just going to have to deal with the fact that they ruined an $800 sweater and have no care to fix it. I'll be telling all my friends who use this place to beware. What they did was just plain wrong. Very unfortunate and it really angers me.
