The project involved some plumbing, some electrical work, some tiling, installation of different bathroom fixtures, drywall, painting, putting wood trim, putting up doors and we also had some structural adjustments to take care of. We had a time line of three weeks to do all that and a budget that couldn't be stretched too thin. It was the middle of the summer and we knew all the contractors would be busy or very expensive. We called a few and requested estimates. Kris and Darek came up with the most reasonable estimates and they were ready to work within our timeline. Plus, they were the most competent. They pointed out things that the others simply didn't see (like the copper pipes we had in the basement that all the other contractors missed and wanted us to get). The work started and, that same evening, my girlfriend and I went to see the site. We were so surprised to discover that, while they had work their butt off all day long and progressed at giant steps, they had left the work site absolutely spotless. No tools thrown everywhere, no dirt and debris on the floors, no dangerous electrical wires hanging. They had swept the floors and organized all the waste in plastic bags. As the work progressed we discovered a few problems that the walls had hidden. Every time, Kris and Darek informed us of the best way to deal with them and worked the price in a very, very reasonable fashion if they needed to do some extensive fixing. We felt we could really trust them. And their attitude was always pleasant and easy going. The rebuilt bathroom turned out a little masterpiece. As we looked at it when it was finished, we realized how solid the craftsmanship was, but it was second to none to the attention to details. The second bathroom was also impeccable. We loved it. The newly remodeled bedroom had been done in a sturdy and beautiful fashion. Again, we saw they really knew what they were doing. And, although we kept on asking for more work, as we saw how good they were, they respected the time line we had and managed to finish on schedule. We've been living with the work they've done for about 3 months now, I wanted to see how their work would hold up before I write a review. And I have two children that test every piece of the house to the limit. Well, I'm happy to report that nothing has moved. Everything is strong, reliable and gorgeous. They also recommended one other contractor to take care of the gutters and install a couple down spout. Those people were as reliable, as easy to deal with and did as good of the job as Kris and Darek did for us. Our basement hasn't had a sip of water since the gutters were fixed. We got incredible lucky to find Kris and Darek. We already have recomended their name to someone else who had the same experience as us. The work is spot on, the attitude is very nice to deal with, the attention to details is incredible, the price is right and they respect the constraints of time, I couldn't give any less than five stars.

After cancelling the first meet, Darek came by and promised me a return phone call that Monday. No return call so I called a week after and then again with no response. Bill was very polite, called me over the weekend to set up the time and said he'd go to the jobsite to get his guys started and then come and meet with me. He just sent me a text message (not even dignified enough to call) at 8:30pm the night before saying "We are currently too busy to take on any new jobs until September. Call me early summer." Bill is what gives contractors a bad name. Sure he might do good work, but he does not respect people's time and schedules. A simple, "Sorry, would love to help you, but we are booked through September" would have done fine at the first call. Terrible customer service and I imagine this speaks to how you might be treated as a client if he did manage to get in your door.

Our project had a few different elements - we wanted to completely gut our master bath, and convert a water closet in that bathroom to a laundry area accessed from the hallway instead. The area we were remodeling was an addition put on before we moved in, and the heating and A/C was done so poorly our bedroom and bathroom barely received any heat or A/C at all, so we also wanted to put in a new HVAC system for the addition. Last minute, we were also able to add another hall closet. Others who'd come to give us quotes on our somewhat complicated project stayed 5 minutes. Scot took precise measurements, asked tons of questions, and thought of every aspect of the project so he was able to give us an accurate quote upfront (he was the only one who noticed we'd need a new electrical panel, for example. I know the others would have figured it out, but Scot was the only one who thought to go to the basement and look. For the contractors that didn't, that would have added a cost on later in the project after we'd budgeted without it, and that's just one example of what Scot caught that other builders didn't). He also came back a second time with a team of HVAC professionals to assess our HVAC issues and discuss solutions before giving us a quote. Before he had our business, he already treated us like his most important customer. After being burned by a different contractor in a kitchen remodel years ago, I was weary of starting a new project. Scot gave us a realistic timeline that we agreed on, and stuck to it. We had one worker, Walter, here every day of the project (occasionally even on Saturdays and a holiday). He was so polite, and worked so hard on our project. There were many other days where there would be a team here assisting Walter, but even if he was the only person here for the day, he always made a ton of progress on the project (and really, another person wasn't necessary those days). His work was absolutely beautiful, high-quality, and it is obvious he pays close attention to detail. Our house wasn't left a mess, either - as it was appropriate to the job, the worksite was cleaned as they went, and with the exception of dust (which is to be expected), I didn't have a huge mess to clean up when everything was complete. The other thing I loved about working with Quality Remodeling is that the owner Scot was constantly in contact with me, whether by phone, texting (which was great!), and he came by at least once a week to check up on things. So did the foreman for the project, Mark. I knew they were always around if I had questions or problems. Whenever I'd have to deal with sub-contractor (like for the vanities or the countertops), Scot would make sure I got in touch with the right person, then he'd follow up with me and them to make sure everything was going according to plan, budget, and schedule. The sub-contractors Quality Remodeling works with were all top-notch. Scot is such a friendly, knowledgeable guy. He made sure that we got what we wanted, even when it was a little hard to do. He even tried to track down some elusive tile I had found online, and after our project was completed, he checks up to make sure things are going well. We experienced a problem with one of the plumbing fixtures we bought after our project was completed, and Scot called the plumbing company on my behalf after they told me they wouldn't exchange it, and got a manager to override the decision. You can tell he genuinely cares and wants people to be happy with their projects, even after his obligation to the customer is complete. I have already recommended Quality Remodeling, Inc. to family members considering remodels. Our project turned out to be exactly what I had envisioned, and the construction of it truly lives up to the name Quality. It was truly a joy to work with the Quality Remodeling team. They know what they are doing, and they truly care about their customers. If we have any projects in the future, I know I'll be calling Quality Remodeling, Inc. in a heartbeat.
