After talking on the phone, the owner came, looked at the house and immediately told me the price of the renovation. I thought it was a joke, but later I saw that people are very well organized and do their work in detail. We first renovated the basement and then the first floor of the house. I was not home for three weeks, when I came the work was almost finished, I was delighted with their work. The job was completed after 4 weeks as we agreed and a really warm recommendation from me for TCS Chicago.

We were so impressed with his work that we hired him to paint our duplex when we were ready to put it on the market. The color he chose made the duplex look so nice. We also hired Donchris Designs for several projects for the Highland Park home we purchased. They remodeled two of our bathrooms, put in a kitchen island, resurfaced the fireplace, installed screen doors, put down carpet in the master bedroom, and installed recess lighting. He did such a wonderful job. The "designs" part of Donchris Designs is invaluable to us. My husband and I are not very creative when it comes to designing our renovations. We basically told Don what we general like (colors, styles, shapes) and he designed the bathroom, fireplace, kitchen, etc. based on our feedback. Then he brought samples for us so we can visualize how the finish product will look like. We went with all his suggestions and were very pleased with the result. It was nicer then we can imagine. At all times, Don was meticulous, professional and very knowledgeable. Most of all, we really feel that they genuinely care. We were so pleased with Donchris Designs that we recommended them to my sister and brother-in-law a year ago when they were looking to remodel their bathrooms. Since then, Donchris Designs remodeled three of their bathrooms and recently finished their basement. My family and I wholeheartedly recommend Donchris Designs.

He has a great eye for materials, and creates projects that look contemporary and clean that won't look dated in three years. If you are lucky enough to catch Don when his schedule opens up, rest assured he will not cut corners, and will care about the details of your project as much as you do. He lives and breathes kitchens and baths, and will help you realize your vision -- he is absolutely phenomenal.

Lifetime just completed my basement renovation December 2017. I am very pleased and plan on using…read morethem for more work around my house. Pros: Initial meeting was very professional. Marc provided an estimate the same day he reviewed the job. The team of workers were very professional as well. They typically showed up between 8:30-9:00 a.m. M-F and worked a full day to about 4:30 or 5:00 p.m. They really worked with me and around my schedule. Since I was usually working during the day the workers would call me during the day with any issues or questions and we would face time a lot during the design stage. Cons: Let me start by saying I am very pleased with my bathroom BUT it is not what I requested. For some reason there was some type of confusion as to what I wanted. I contracted for a full bathroom with bath tub, shower, and a linen closet. - The bathroom ended up getting designed with a walk in shower only. No tub. No linen closet. - Again it's lovely but not what I really wanted. I had major plumbing work that had to be completed. (Worst part of the project) The plumber worked maybe 4 or 5 days and left a big mess after each visit. I wasn't as concerned for the mess in the basement work area but they had to cut the walls on my main level to reach some pipes. They cut 3 separate walls on the main floor and left all kinds of mess for me to clean. Mud, dust etc. I would have appreciated if the plumber cleaned up after himself just like the carpenters and electrician did. They fixed the walls that were cut but only repainted the small portion of the wall where the cut out was made so of course the paint color does not really match the color that was there. I will have to end up re-painting the entire walls of each of those 3 rooms. I wasn't planning on doing that. I was told the job would take 7 weeks. It ended up taking 10 weeks. (not super bad) There were a few days (about 5) where I was told they would be there to work and then didn't show up for one reason or another. Also there was a little confusion about the flooring I wanted. I said I wanted either a stained floor to look like wood or some kind of tile that looked liked wood. - I ended up getting ceramic tile that looks like wood. - I ended up being charged extra for the tile I chose. I was never given a budget for the flooring and thought that my quote price would have included the flooring. I ended up being charged extra for my flooring choice which I didn't anticipate. I know things are never perfect when doing construction. The few cons were a bit annoying but not super major for me. Overall I think they did a great job and I plan on using them again.

It was quite an extensive amount of work that needed to be done. He immediately starting questioning my funding in front of the seller. It got so bad I had to say, We can discuss your financial concerns, but the seller doesn't need to be privy to this level of my business. We leave out and he seems ok again, just wanted to be sure I could get the funding. I'm like no problem can you put the bid in tonight. He says ok. I call him the next morning because the bid hasn't been submitted and he is like Oh I was really busy yesterday. Ill TRY to get to it by the end of the day. Again he did not, After a week goes by. I ask do you want this job... He says to be honest I would have passed if I knew it was all this work that needed to be done. At that point I was done. We no longer need to communicate. The overall design and material used in my apartment were just too outdated so everything needed to be remodeled. I looked up several contractors over the internet and finally picked Luis Kitchen and Bath remodeling. I was still hesitant so I gave them a call to inquire more details and ask for a quote. From the start (phone call) to the end of the kitchen remodeling service, they were simply amazing! The crew of kitchen contractors came on time and finished everything in such a short amount of time considering the amount of work they had to do. They painted my cabinets all over again and now they look so much nicer, the exact modern style I wanted. Now my whole apartment looks brand new thanks to them. The kitchen cabinet painting in particular was remarkable. Everything was applied really smoothly even though the conditions of the cabinets were not the greatest. The new design and color selections of paint were recommended by the team and I am very satisfied with their choice. The team was very friendly too. Overall, it is definitely a wonderful company and they are able to solve my problem in a short amount of time (given my availability and schedule) with such affordable pricing.

I called All Quality because my two story house had a leak in the ceiling of the first floor living…read moreroom. The leak could not have been due to a plumbing issue as the bathrooms in the house were all on the complete other side of the house. Therefore I believed the leak was coming from somewhere in the roof and/or from around the window of the bedroom directly above the living room. Other contracting/roofing companies had come out who simply looked at the roof and told us either 1). We needed a completely new roof (e.g. $10K-15K repair) because our current one was 'incorrectly applied' or 2). They would try to remedy the problem (for $300-$500) but it would not be guaranteed as they weren't positive what the issue was. When Ed and Joe came to my house they looked at the problem area in the living room, looked at the roof from outside and went upstairs to look around the dormer window / roof area directly above where the leak was coming from. Based on what they found Ed told me that he believe the issue was due to the roof of the dormer being incorrectly applied and also the casing around the window not being properly sealed. For the entire job he quoted me $2000 - so not as cheap as the companies who 'assumed' what the problem was, but definitely not as expensive as those who simply quoted me a new roof. The selling point for me was when I asked Ed, 'So what happens if you do the work and my ceiling still leaks?', he looked me dead in the eye and said 'I'll either give you your money back or find and fix the problem for free, your choice'. He gave me that guarantee in writing and that is all I needed to know these were people I wanted to do business with. Within a week or two their guys came out and did the work. As of right now (3+ months after the works had been done), we have had some pretty serious Chicago suburb rain storms and I haven't seen one drop of water in my living room or felt one hint of dampness on my ceiling. You can find numerous companies who will tell you they are 'experts' and know best which means taking the most complete (and expensive) route.. Finding a company though with experience who will tell you 'I am just about positive you only need this work done but I might be wrong and if I am, that's my fault and I'll give you your money back' is an extreme rarity. I consider myself fortunate to have found the guys at All Quality. As a homeowner, its comforting to know you've found a company who will work not only for you but with you should you need them. These guys are a complete class-act operation.
