Outpost became our morning ritual in Cabo, three mornings in a row, eating breakfast twice and…read moreenjoying ourselves more with each visit. Funny origin story: we were just looking for coffee on our first morning, and somewhere in that search decided -- hey, we're on vacation, why not find the best espresso martini spot instead? Best decision of the trip. Outpost delivered in a huge way. Bonus on a humid August day: They have AC inside. The space itself has real personality: exposed brick, framed portraits of aristocrats with dog heads on the walls, and a couple of TVs built into ornate frames just looping a crackling fireplace all day. Great 70s/80s soundtrack running the whole time too. Farm-to-table breakfast with genuinely clean ingredients -- huevos rancheros and avocado toast with a poached egg were both excellent. And the shrimp omelette had a red sauce that send the flavors over the top. The drinks are the real headliner though. I had them make my espresso martinis with reposado tequila instead of vodka, and it completely elevated the drink. My friend Kandy would usually start with an espresso martini too before moving on to their lavender martini, which became her go-to for the rest of the weekend. We also had a Carajillo done tableside, flambé style -- a full 3-minute production of lighting it on fire and pouring it back and forth before serving over ice. Genuinely one of the coolest drink presentations I've seen. Eneas took care of us all three days and was fantastic: warm, attentive, clearly loves his job. Alberto was great too. Bartender Rigo made every drink perfectly, tequila swaps and all. You can tell Chef Anna runs a tight kitchen and Jefe Calixto keeps the whole place running smoothly. If you're anywhere near the Marina, this is a must. We'll be back next time we're in Cabo.

We visited Outpost on a Thursday evening, drawn by its high ratings. The ambiance was very nice,…read morebut unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the expectations or the prices. We ordered the smash burger and roasted beet salad. The beets didn't really appear to be roasted, and the burger patty seemed to be about a quarter pound, although the bun was excellent. The presentation was somewhat underwhelming, and the burger came with just five stacked potato wedges. I understand you're not necessarily coming to a place like this looking for bargain prices, but with so many excellent and reasonably priced restaurants in Cabo, expectations should be higher. I was interested in trying the short ribs, but at $75, I'll pass. I can smoke them myself. Interestingly, on a Thursday evening, there was only one other couple in the air-conditioned dining room. Meanwhile, we noticed several nearby restaurants, although less fancy, attracting good crowds. Overall, a nice setting, but the food and presentation fell short of what I'd expect at this price point.

Wow this place has THE best views of Cabo San Lucas! You can see the arches and the entire…read morebeach/ocean. I definitely suggest going to watch the sunset. It's the perfect spot to take photos, too! My friend recommended that I come to The Rooftop, and I'm so glad I did. We made a reservation and just went for some drinks and dessert because the menu is a bit pricey. I recommend making a reservation. It helps if you have a reservation because if you're not staying at the hotel (like us), it is gated to get in and you have to tell the guard you are going to The Rooftop. I loved the vibes here; they even had a lady singing/DJ-ing some live EDM and she was amazing! The service was friendly and quick. They also gave us blankets because it gets a bit chilly at night. I lovedddd my drink-bitter pina colada (which wasn't bitter at all). I'm gluten-intolerant and was surprised to find that their churros are gluten-free. I ordered them and devoured the whole plate to myself. They came with a caramel dipping sauce too. They also have a gluten-free brownie; will definitely try that next time.

The shrimp was the best item of the night. Well balance and flavorful. The burgers and tacos were cold. All of our food came out at once. They said they would send the old plates back to the kitchen to be remade. They held the plates in the warmer and reserved them to us. When we asked about it they claimed they were fresh but the food was cold. The aguachile was inedible and we sent it back but still paid for it (odd). The shrimp was warm and seemed to have gone bad. The drinks in Manta were 10X better than the rooftop despite being on the same property. Overall, there needs to be some reworking of the menu. I'd skip the rooftop if I returned to the property because there are other wonderful options.

Our hotel booked a reservation for us and we were seated immediately upon arriving at the restaurant. At nighttime, the surrounding greenery plus the hanging lanterns gives the place a unique vibe that's perfect for a date night. We tried the two mocktails on their drink menu (Baja Roots and Tropical Berries) and both were very tasty; I especially loved the Baja Roots drink because it was the perfect level of sweetness for me! My husband enjoyed the Tropical Berries drink as someone who loves berries. For the food, we got the shrimp pastor tacos to start, and then we shared the grilled octopus and short rib pappardelle. Out of these items, the shrimp pastor tacos were my #1 favorite! These tacos were packed with flavor and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. Both of the main entrees were also great, and the portions here are very generous. I was definitely stuffed when we left Casa Martin :D On top of everything we ordered, the staff brought out a complimentary small bite for us (tuna tartare on wonton crisp tostada) which was so kind! Plus since it was our post-wedding minimoon, we received a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal!
