Stopped on here for breakfast during a quick cruise stop. We'd just got off a small boat tour of "El Arco" and I was feeling a little gunshy (and verde too) of more traditional Mexican desayuno. Solomons is clearly geared toward tourists. Centrally located on the main walkway, it's the place that looks like it would fit in any coastal town with tourists. Unlike other tourist places, the food was good. The place was spotless. The service was effective and English wasn't an issue. The menu was broad but not overwhelming. Prices were a bit high, but considering it's a tourist place and it's prime location, not awful. $50 US for two with juice, water, and 20% tip. I would recommend it. read more

We stopped in to grab a drink, cool down (thanks to all the well placed fans!) and enjoy the view. We got that and some tasty food as well. We sat at the bar, in the back. Perfect view. Their mojito was perfectly refreshing and totally hit the spot for me. We shared an order of calamari and my guy ordered some fish tacos. Holy smokes - the tacos were amaze balls. Had 30 minutes before our massage appointment so we decided to get a drink at Solomon's landing while we waited. Unfortunately service was really slow 15 minutes for the server to take our orders. We told them that we were in a hurry and asked for them to bring the check with the drinks. It was another 10 minutes for our drinks so we only had a few minutes to chug them and walk to the massage parlor. The drinks were good and since we paid in pesos the price was nice. The exchange rate wasn't very economical for pesos to us dollars. Nice patio seating just across the boardwalk from the harbor. Probably won't be returning due to the slow service and exchange rates designed to take advantage of the cruise ship passengers. read more

Amazing service from the get go. Staff was very attentive to our needs and even provide a stand to keep your bags & hat! We ordered a Mocktail, mango juice for my daughter, and Vege Fajitas which we all shared, along with Chips, guac & Pico to start with. Fajitas were too good, they even had cauliflower in them which is so hard to find in other places! They came in a sauce, were delicious. The flour tortillas were so good as well, thin & fresh. Cabo was one of the port stops on our resent family Thanksgiving cruise. After taking a boat trip to see the Arch and learn more about Cabo, we were hungry. Asked several local people about eating places that were off the tourist route and everyone kept coming back to Solomon's so we walked over. We were seated immediately and several people came to take drink orders, bring menus, offer recommendations. Customer service was above! The restaurant is an open-air concept and you are sitting on a large patio. It's a bustle of activity but again, people took time to answer questions, etc. We ordered so much food, yes we were hungry, but also we wanted to try many of the dishes they offered. Started out with their queso dip and chips, fried calamari (served with two sauces, a marinara and a roasted cocktail sauce that was extremely yummy!), and of course we had to have their version of guacomole, which comes with a side of pico (I mixed that into the guac to enhance the flavor) and some great, freshly made tortilla chips. My wife will never pass up the opportunity for a good ceviche and theirs is served with scallops and mango. She loved it, it was bit too spicy for this girl but others in our group loved it just as much. The scallops were tender and overall a great dish! Based on all of the recommendations...I had the fish tacos and boy-oh-boy! Some of the freshest, lightly battered, served in homemade flour tortillas with a sprinkling of cabbage slaw and some of the best chipotle dressing. You get three in an order and they were so good! Wife had the scallop tacos, served with pico and guac. The small pieces of scallops were cooked to perfection and mixed with tomatoes, chilies, and a light sauce. They were perfect she said! Other family members ordered the Green Enchiladas and said they were spicy but delicious, They also offer a kids menu with mac & cheese, burgers and chicken fingers which our least adventurers travelers ordered and reported they were "good". When you are in Cabo, you need to visit the marina and when you do so, Solomon's Landing, is a good place to stop by to eat. It has commanding views of the boats docked very close to where you are. There are good vibes, a lot of hustlers walking by and you can hear music all over the place. Had already looked at their menu before arriving, so I chose the fried whole red snapper. The standard sides for this dish, were only rice and vegetables. I requested that the rice be substituted by refried beans and my server said it would be an extra charge. I told him no way, you have to talk to the manager. The manager finally agreed. When the dish arrived at my table, it was at the perfect temperature, nice and hot. With the first bite of the meaty fish, it was easy to decipher that it was fresh. Nice and crisp on the outside, succulent and moist on the inside. In situations like this, I like to use my fingers to pluck the meat and in doing so, I obviously need more napkins. This place was really stingy. Every time I asked for more napkins, that would give me only one. Apparently, that's what the manager wants the staff to do. Kibd of weird if you ask me. This fish was excellent, memorable and unforgettable. Vegetables were also superbly prepared. Refried beans were dry and not OK. Service was the same. Nothing to write home about. And I didn't fall for the US dollar conversion trap. I paid my check in Mexican pesos. read more

Solomon's really redeemed themselves this year. Started off on a great foot by letting us choose our table. Big change from last year. Thank you for being accommodating!! Next, a couple of the coldest beers in all of Cabo!! Delish!! Then on to the Ceviche!! OMG, t'was delish!! Crazy good!! We had lunch here on our recent trip to Cabo. We saw a sign that said the restaurant had been featured on diners, drive-ins and dives. This intrigued me. More importantly I was able to talk to the seater and ask if they were able to accommodate my child's very picky eating. He assured me they could make what he wanted. We'd like the vibe of the restaurant so we decided to eat here. We had a house margarita and their signature margarita. Both were excellent. The signature margarita was definitely more high-quality and was smoother than the house, but both were good. We had the Carnitas tacos and the signature tacos. We also had a melted cheese dip for my son. Everything we ate was excellent. I preferred my Carnitas tacos. My husband preferred the signature steak tacos. So everyone was happy with your choice. My son let me steal a small bite of his cheese dip and it was absolutely delicious. Overall we did not regret a single thing we ordered and would definitely come here again. read more

Spent a long weekend in Cabo, and this place came highly recommended by a couple of locals for having some of the best seafood in the area--so naturally, we had to check it out. There were six of us, and we were seated quickly. The staff was friendly, energetic, and clearly seasoned in taking care of tourists. Flashy, fun, and full of personality--just the vibe you want on vacation. We started with the guacamole (because how can you not?) and the burrata salad. Both were fresh and flavorful--great way to kick things off. I ordered the Mexican Combo, which included grilled flank steak, a chile relleno, and a green chicken enchilada. It came with cactus salad and beans on the side. Absolutely delicious and massive--easily enough to feed two people. Every bite was packed with flavor. Everyone at our table left happy, full, and already talking about coming back. A must-visit if you're in Cabo and craving solid Mexican food with a lively atmosphere. read more

We were too tired to well to our usual place so we saw Solomon's and decided to try it. It's open air and the service was very good with friendly waiters. We tried loaded chips and an order of fajitas and fish tacos. Fish tacos are always my first choice. We're staying at an all inclusive resort but wanted to venture onto the marina for dinner. One of the waiters at our hotel recommended Solomon's and it was a fantastic choice! We got a table right in the front with great people watching and a nice romantic ambiance. Enrique, our server, was fabulous and made sure everything was perfect! They had very fairly priced signature cocktails - the Rosy Charm was very refreshing. We started with the garlic cheese bread - it was soft, decadent, and delicious! I made us save a couple of the last pieces as my boyfriend got the lobster ravioli for his main dish and I knew they'd be great to dip in the sauce. The Ravioli were humongous and well stuffed! I got the Shrimply Delicious which was 3 different ways to cook shrimp, wild rice, and veggies. Every way of shrimp was decadent and had its own unique flavor. I'd definitely recommend Solomon's to all! We had a nice romantic night here but there were also families. The pricing was very fair for a place located in Cabo tourist central. Will definitely be back next time we're in Cabo! read more

Ismael was attentive, Knowledgeable and efficient. We dined on fresh sushi tacos, fresh catch of the day Mexican sashimi, rainbow catch of the day with tuna and salmon on the outside rolls, and cilantro shrimp avocado rolls. Sadly disappointed...we had such wonderful service when we came here earlier in the year...so much that we made a bee-line to this place as soon as we got off the ship....but mannnn when I tell you the service this time was horrible!!! We watched the waitress take back another young man's food which happened to be the exact dish the wife ordered...the waitress brings my wife her food extra earlier than mines and the grandsons...and it was cold which means that it was undoubtedly the same plate in which the young man was eating and had the waitress take back.......NEVER AGAIN!! read more

I ordered the entrees recommended by Guy Firie. It was a panko breaded fish filet with risotto over a lobster sauce with carrot puree drops on the plate. The sauce and puree were both cold and did not compliment the dish at all. Sent my plate back and the sauce came back lukewarm. Not much of an improvement. It was not cohesive and the filet tasted like a frozen TV dinner filet. My date had the shrimp trio and was happy with his meal. I tasted one of his shrimp and it was overcooked and rubbery. The food here is very sub par. But the Chilli Relleno was rather nice. The rice used with all dishes also with the Chilli Relleno was rather odd. Same as that hard dense rice pilaf you got in the 80s at all chain restaurants in America that is no longer in existence. Hot sauce and salsas here are not good. Ordered them and did not continue eating them as they were bad. I'm not sure if this place is trying to mimic American chain restaurants or which all of those corporations are going bankrupt due to just low quality food, or are they just lost. Probably the worst "Mexican" food we had our whole 4 day trip. Also, the most expensive outside of our fancy steakhouse dinner. I really feel this place is trying hard to cater to horrible to the middle of America flavor pallete. Huge disappointment as pretty much all of the actual Mexican food in Cabo was rather delicious. Tourist trap for being on the docks. Service is also hit or miss. If you do find yourself here, only order the Chilli Relleno as it's this place's only saving grace. read more

I usually don't write reviews while on vacation.. but I was inclined to do so for Soloman's Landing. I would not recommend coming here. Every restaurant I've been to in Cabo provides a plethora of authentic salsa's and sides for their patrons - free of charge. Mexican cuisine is known for its flavors & spices. Unfortunately, this place is so stingy - wanting to charge for a tiny cup of flavorless pico de gallo. With the lack of authentic host of flavors and penny pinching.. It's clear that this restaurant is just a tourist trap created by an American businessman. Even the smallest hole in the wall taco shop provides salsa and limes free of charge. There are a ton of other places to go that have better food and quality . read more

I ordered the traditional Mexican dinner. The flank steak was fine. The rest of the meal had clearly been pulled out of a refrigerator and warmed up . The chili rellano was tough and dry. We tried this place the other day and we were less than impressed. We're puzzled as to these great reviews. I had the burger. The fries were good, but a lot of nubs. The burger itself was, well, dense. It wasn't juicy or flavorful, just dense. The calamari appetizer tasted like a frozen appetizer thrown into the microwave to heat it up. My wife had the catch of the day, blackened sea bass. That was the only thing worth noting as a positive. The service was horrible. Our waiter was inattentive, slow, seemed like he had more interest watching the rain than being a waiter. Needless to say, we won't return. And even more sad, we were his only table. read more

We heard good things from locals about Solomon's Landing, so we decided to give it a go for lunch on a recent afternoon in the marina area in Cabo San Lucas. The ambiance is great, right on the marina, great views, people watching, and very friendly locals to chat with at the bar. We tried the craft cocktails, a guava margarita and a watermelon cocktail, both cocktails were too sweet for our taste so we switched over to wine and beer ... the house pinot grigio was fantastic and the Pacifico was perfect in a frozen mug with a squeeze of lime. We ordered the fish ceviche as an appetizer, good and fresh, but a bit too heavy on the tomato sauce in the juice. The chips served with the ceviche were great. We tried the fish tacos next ... great dish, great flavor, but the tempura batter on the seabass was a bit too much... we ended up tearing off much of the batter to reveal a fantastic fish taco underneath. All-in-all and OK experience at Solomon's, not terrible, but not great. Prices were reasonable, service was good, food and beverage just OK. read more
