Cuisine: 5 Service: 5 Decor: 7 Value: 7 Overall: 6 A lot of great reviews, but my experience was just average at best. Not sure if I just didn't order what they are known for since it was such a large menu, but I was not impressed at all. Mixed Seafood Cocktail was very bland and tasteless. While the Garlic Crabs had a ton of flavor, but texture was quite mushy. That is a clear sign that these crabs are not fresh enough. There was a little two men band walking to each table and singing some popular Spanish love songs which made the space a bit more lively. However, the waiter we had was like he was practically dead. Took forever to come and take our order, then never came back again after dropping off the food. We tried waving him down for the check so many times and eventually got the attention of another waiter. It was a big restaurant, but he could have came by to check on us at least once. This restaurant has a lot to work on.

Good service and ambiance. Ceviche starters had large portions. The octopus was good on the main dishes although the flavors were a little disappointing

Chicken Fajitas. Crab (not sure what the name on the menu was).

Love this place! It's very unassuming but don't let that stop you. Top food places to eat in Cabo, if I can say so myself. Food: Aguachiles was the best I've ever had. It is spicy, but the flavor is amazing. It's a good size so share, if you love aguachiles this is a must try! Chicken Fajita is also good, a good option for the less adventurous eaters, flavor was good. Comes with rice, beans and corn tortillas. My guest ordered crab (not sure menu name), said it was very good and great portion. Drink: Pina Colada was great. I had three and only stopped because I was full. They are a great size. Service: Everything was fast and the servers were very attentive. Restaurant itself is not going to blow you away, like I mentioned it's very unassuming building. Had a private parking lot. Half is no ac but they have an enclosed area with ac. Definitely recommend. Food is amazing and the price is beyond reasonable (even venture to say cheap). Come with a positive attitude and you will love this place. Will be coming back for sure.

My favorite meal during my recent trip to Cabo, we liked it so much we ate there twice. My first visit made a lasting impression and we ordered a lot: -clams -oysters -shrimp ceviche -aguachile -grilled blue crab with garlic -fried fish -shrimp combo (breaded, coconut, grilled, etc) -fish tacos Everything tasted fresh especially the clams and oysters. The clams were my absolute favorite, with the aguachile, shrimp ceviche, fried fish, and blue crab close behind. I can't recall what type of fish the fried fish was, but it was large in size, fried and crispy on the outside, soft and hot inside, and perfect to share. Everything had a lot of flavor and freshness. The fish tacos are made with flour tortillas. The service was friendly from our server and he was patient with all of our requests and questions. They offer many different hot sauces which we enjoyed. We ordered plenty and had leftovers although we had 8 people. We came the following night and ordered more oysters, aguachile, shrimp, blue crab, and squid. This time it was 16 of us. They did not have the fried fish. They served us a large fish but I think it was grilled. Unfortunately, they didn't have anymore clams. Service wasn't as friendly on this night, but they successfully served a large party and the food was all good. The establishment itself is very spacious with many tables and was clean. Recommended if you're in the area!

We happened to drive by this place off of the main strip after dinner elsewhere. We ate here the next night and it did not disappoint. We had excellent service. I asked the server what the best dishes were on the menu and he made three recommendations. I went with one, which was the whole red snapper that came with white rice and vegetables on a separate plate because it would not fit on the huge tray that had my butterflies snapper on it. I don't know how it was prepared but it was bursting with flavorful spices and had a grilled taste. It was a little crispy on the outside but so moist and flaky on the inside. My husband really wanted octopus and asked the server to explain the difference in the three ways they serve it and ordered the one the server recommended, which was a whole grilled octopus. My husband said it was cooked perfectly and he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. My daughter ordered the combination steak and chicken fajitas served with white rice and beans. She ate everything on her plate so it must have been great! My husband had a Chelsea with Modelo beer, I had the Jamaica tea (hibiscus). Both drinks were good. We topped off this amazing meal with an order of flan. The flan had a perfect texture and taste. I highly recommend. They have their own parking.

Nice open and covered space. Breeze flows throught it while the neighborhood mariachi band plays all of your favorite hits upon request. The food was primarily solid except for the guacamole. No flavor whatsoever so they lost a point for messing up guac. Otherwise the grilled fish in garlic was great. Shrimp tacos with the grilled lobster and shrimp were solid too. Great local spot to checkout on a trip to Cabo.

    Lobster, shrimp, rice and veggies

I had been doing some research before arriving to Cabo and found some good recommendations for this place. I love lobster and shrimp with garlic and butter. They delivered. The meal came with white rice and some veggies. I asked for a side of beans. The shrimps were the stars of the show as well as the pitcher of pina coladas. It was a hot day by they had an area that had AC. My husband had the fajitas and he enjoyed them.

I yelped n found the Mariscos Las tres Islas, it was listed as 0.6 miles from where I was so we decided to walk there. We walked following the direction on Yelp, after 40 minutes it still said another 0.7 miles the Google map was kaput! It was a wild goose chase in 109F heat, my husband got PO! I speak Spanish n asked 3 people including a cop but got nowhere, it was a joke finally we ran into this restaurant by chance, we had amazing food in Mazatlan so I told my husband to give it a chance, the place didn't have too many Yankees so it gotta be authentic, I was right! I was so thirsty my throat hurt, the piña colada hit the spot, I was so happy on cloud 9, the Margarita had the best tequila n only $8! Not $15 like on playa Medano total rip off. The red snapper omg the kilo grilled in garlic butter was only 307 pesos instead of 758 pesos! It came out so grilled n so saucy. I should not have ordered the seafood soup, it was sort of lame but I would still rate this 5 stars as nowhere else in Cabo you can find such prices n quality of the huachinango ( red snapper) we took the Ueber home I was so stuffed n stoned out of my head, this bartender sure made a mean margarita! Can't wait to go back there to dine here.

Close up of the blue crab. So sweet.

Came back again (the very next night) cause the food was so good. Good service and good food. No complaints.

The dinner plates cakes with a side of rice and steamed mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh, delicious, tender, and so flavorful. As a group, we couldn't come to a consensus on what each of our favorite dish was. We each had our own favorite. Crab meat was sweet, garlic shrimp was buttery, grilled octopus was so tender, aguichiles was so citrusy... I can go on and on. Ask for fresh tortillas. Also don't skip their margarita. Strong, citrusy, and generous serving. They accept USD or pesos. Also strolling musicians will come by your table asking to play a song. One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I'm not a fan of garlic and didn't know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water -- still amazing. Calamari Fresh, tender, and very well cooked. Seafood Special Combination Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others. I should have written down what kind of chips they buy, because they were tasty. Very crunchy and really nice corn and toasty flavor. Frozen margarita had really good flavor too. Shrimp enchilada was ok, but not really what I was expecting. Guess we've been eating Americanized enchiladas this whole time. This dish was a warmed tortilla topped with small shrimp, tomato, and bell peppers.

The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe. From the street it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall, the kind of spot you might almost miss if you're busy chasing fancy marina restaurants. But step inside and suddenly you're in on the secret. Open air, flags hanging everywhere, signatures on the walls from travelers who clearly had a very good night, and the kind of energy that says dinner might get a little rowdy. Now let's talk shrimp. Big, juicy, swimming in garlic, lime, butter, and Baja attitude. The kind of seafood that makes you stop mid-bite and look at your table like, "Yep... we picked the right place." If you love seafood with a Mexican twist, this place doesn't mess around. And then there's the legendary Bulldog drink. It's tequila, beer, citrus, and just enough mischief to make the table louder after the first round. Order one and you'll understand why people start signing their names on the walls like they just joined a Cabo fraternity. Bottom line: this isn't just dinner. It's a little Cabo adventure wrapped in garlic shrimp and cold drinks. If you want quiet elegance, go somewhere else. But if you want flavor, personality, and a story to tell later... pull up a chair. Killer line: Some restaurants serve food Maro's serves memories with a side of shrimp.

I have been coming to Maro's Shrimp House since I found it, probably on Tripadvisor at the time,…read more way back in June 2016 and we make it a must on every trip to Cabo. Even when I was in Cabo on a cruise ship last Friday (11/28), had to hole up in my cabin on my laptop and work a half day (until 11am), missing out on my family's morning excursion all with a 1pm last tender call to get back to the ship... After my wife, mother-in-law, daughter & son's excursion with well reviewed Real Baja Tours (which I arranged separately instead of through the ship), all but my son were dropped off back at the ship as they wanted to skip out on the amazingness of Maro's. Yeah, I KNOW!! CRAZY!! The driver was nice enough to drop my son off at Maro's afterwards and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, just a few minutes before their 12pm opening time. Even though, we were a few minutes early, they gladly seated us right away. And very surprisingly, we were the only ones there for a good 20 minutes. From our very first visit in 2016, it is quite clear that the only things you need order is the shrimp and lobster which are fantastic...and THE BULLDOG (basically a giant schooner of margarita with an upended Coronita standing on its drowning head)...well, no Bulldogs for the boy. Service is very efficient and the friendly staff (despite not knowing too much English, except Maro himself, of course) is very attentive to any calls we had for refills of GARLIC WITH BUTTER (soooo much garlic, it was fantastic) & my dear, dear Bulldogs. Speaking of Bulldogs, they keep track of the most Bulldogs drunken in a sitting. I believe the current leader had 22...which is a superhuman feet because I was feeling quite FINE (read: tipsy) after my two. Also speaking of Bulldogs, on a visit in 2024, my kids, one friend of theirs and I witnessed a server giving 3 ladies a lapdance when they ordered one to share. Now that's service! Lol. Having told the staff we had to get outta there at 12:30pm, they delivered our wonderful meals very promptly and after first giving us totopos (tortilla chips) with two kinds of delicious salsa (well, a salsa and a pico de gallo). We each ordered the 1/4 kilo of lobster and 1/4 medium shrimp for $24.95 USD. (Note prices on the menu are conveniently in USD.) This was more than ample for one person but we prodded on and thoroughly enjoyed it, as always. With each plate, they serve the seafood with a very tasty rice pilaf and some pieces of squash or something I still can't figure out and after 2 Bulldogs, I completely forgot to ask about. They also give you a piping hot cup of that GARLIC WITH BUTTER served over a candle to keep hot which is brilliant. There is nothing worse than eating your giant platter of lobster and shrimp and the butter starts getting cold and becomes gluey and gloppy. That stuff is so good, we asked for another cup (and unlike American restaurants, it was free). On our visit in 2024, we actually got to meet Maro himself, took a picture with him, printed and framed it at home, brought it with us on the cruise and mounted it on the wall to the right of the L.A. Dodger flag, naturally. Since there wasn't any room left to write something with a provided marker, I added my DK to the bottom of the UCLA Bruin flag hidden near the back to the left. Oh, while you might think this place is a dingey dive by the look of the joint with its millions of marked up mostly collegiate flags lining the walls and rafters, the food makes it absolutely worth a visit...or two while you're in town. So save Edith's or Hacienda Y Cucina for the evenings (unless you want what I suspect would be a super fun & roudier crowd in the evenings). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wow, that's a David K 4x HIGHLY RECOMMEND so ya better go!
