Leovy tostada
Rhondi S.

Chef Manny has done it again, an extensive menu of FRESH and innovative dishes with only the best seafood around Cabo! More than just tacos and ceviche, deeper complex and fusions of flavors, ingredients and techniques. Extensive cocktails from hibiscus margaritas, horchata's with a kick, Mexican mojitos, and more. Extensive tostada menu, had the Leovy with fresh tuna over avocado, topped with fresh shrimps, caramelized onions in a chile soy sauce; delicious a bit salty from the soy, but everything worked together. The Isabella had octopus, sea bass and tuna atop a tostada and drizzled ponzu sauce. A creative array of salsas from a tropical mango coconut, toasted peanut vinaigrette (my favorite), spicy chile water to a beet habanero (sweet/spicy goodness). Great prices for unique deliciousness! Great good and service! We asked for a good recommendation off the Marina. After reading reviews, it was hard to pick something to eat. Didn't matter! Everything was great!

Saw the great reviews. While the food was on point, there were a few issues with the restaurant. The blackboard sign showed the special as surf 'n turf, but when we inquired they said they did not have any steak. The sign was quite portable and probably should have been removed. The menu showed a large assortment of beer, but they only had Michelob Ultra. Not an issue, but at $3.75/beer vs $2.50 for our preferred Pacifico, they probably should have offered a discount. For appetizers we requested tuna and scallop towers but they said the sauce was not made so we tried the shrimp rolls which were very tasty and likely the best choice anyway. The waiter also brought crispy corn tortillas with an assortment of salsas that were spicy, but taste bud friendly For the main dishes I had the Barbajan. The tacos with the smoked pork bellies felt more like empenadas but were flavorful, and went well with the ceviche (spicy). Others had the Pastora, Breaded fish tacos, and Drunk Shrimp. I think the consensus was that the appetizers, the fish tacos and drunk shrimp were the tastiest. One other issue, and it's a bit petty, but there were 4 forks in a pouch on the table, and we had to request more after the appetizers as several were cleared. Overall, the food was flavorful and the servers were friendly.

Great servers, AMAZING FOOD. I love how they take pride in the food and they were very cognizant of my food allergies. They didn't have a huge beer or alcohol selection, but their food more than made up for that as there were plenty of places to drink around us--it's Cabo after all! One of my friends even had his aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins meet us here since they live in Cabo. Thank you for making our first night of 14 memorable and delicious!

This is the best restaurant in Cabo San Lucas I had been so far. The service people are very friendly. The food are really good.

After spending the day dorado fishing, we wanted a recommendation for a place that would prepare our fresh catch. We took the recommendation from our local inn (her grandfathers favorite place) and Wachinango's absolutely CRUSHED IT. The chef took it fillets and creatively served up 9 unique plates (5 starters and 4 main course), each with a distinct style to show off his culinary prowess. The only thing to come close to the the flavors was the personal attention from the chef who came out and discussed the style of each dish, what the origins were and what the best way to eat each one was! Incredible experience, and a perfect way to cap our stay in Cabo!

Hands down my favorite place for seafood and raw dishes in all of cabo! We came here last year and it was delicious then but last nights meal was just so amazing! There were three of us and we had multiple drinks (meichelads, beers, glasses of wine, iced tea, bottled water) and appetizers for a total of $70 We then decided to splurge and also order two specials; steak and lobster. Which was two lobsters and an 8oz ribeye per plate with mashed potato's, corn on the cob and char grilled veggies. $55/plate special We are planning on going back once maybe twice more to try more items and I will add more photos to this post as we go! Easy downtown cabo walking, it's behind El squid row

Best octopus I've ever had (and I've had my fair share). Chef Manny is a delight and hands on, he was there both times I was. There's not a losing dish on the menu, but his award-winning tacos, stuffed chocolate clams, and grilled octopus are off the charts.

Fresh & delicious seafood! Hidden Gem! Excellent service!!! I really wanted to come here for the Grilled Octopus. I'm finally here & loving it!! Look for CHRIS for the best customer service! We'll be back!

MICHELADA

Great Micheladas! Hamburguesa se camarón was also so big and good! Would also highly recommended the aguachiles!

You must not miss this place when in Cabo! The chef of this place has won several awards. He has michelin star training. The atmosphere itself is great and the servers are nice. Cool decor and only a block away from the tourist areas. We had the octopus taco and the tuna tostada. All to die for!!! My tostada came with large amount of sashimi tuna and shrimp on a layer of guacamole topped off with caramelized onion on a tostada in a soy lime sauce. Amazing! My group got the pulpo taco, which they are well known for, and said they have never tasted that good of a taco. I don't think you can have anything bad in this place. The locals sit here, so you know it's good.

Cochiloco: $3.00 USD

Wachinango's may come across as a tourist trap given their location and vibe, but know that even the locals rave about their unique seafood offerings, and they're not wrong. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Great decor, abundant seating, and a welcoming vibe that can cater to everything from a family to a bachelor party. Wachinango's pairs this all with excellent service and speedy delivery. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? The unique seafood tacos at Wachinango's aren't the $1.00 that you might be used to spending elsewhere in the area, but for what you get the prices are still dirt cheap. A hearty octopus taco ran me only $3.00 USD, which is insane compared to pricing elsewhere, and heavy portions of sashimi on a torta are an equally reasonable $4.00 whereas you would easily spend $10+ back in the states. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Everything that I had at Wachinango's was good, and while I'm usually not a fan of octopus this was done right. A buttery smooth texture with just a tang of the unique flavor that octopus brings paired with some exotic peripherals and brought it all together. Excellent. Two Stars. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? The answer here would be a resounding yes if it weren't for one obstacle: Tacos Gardenias, which is in my mind still the reigning champion of seafood in Cabo San Lucas. No Star.

Sea bass and guacamole.

This place has amazing food! Today I had the sea bass and it is cooked and prepared wonderfully. The salsa options are wonderfully offered.

Beautiful atmosphere with lights, plenty of tables, and clean bathrooms. The seafood is so fresh! The dinner plates cakes with a side of rice and steamed mixed vegetables. Everything was so fresh, delicious, tender, and so flavorful. As a group, we couldn't come to a consensus on what each of our favorite dish was. We each had our own favorite. Crab meat was sweet, garlic shrimp was buttery, grilled octopus was so tender, aguichiles was so citrusy... I can go on and on. Ask for fresh tortillas. Also don't skip their margarita. Strong, citrusy, and generous serving. They accept USD or pesos. Also strolling musicians will come by your table asking to play a song. Some will tell you the price up front others will expect a tip at the end.

The restaurant was packed with locals when we went -- always a great sign. Cash only, so come prepared. What We Ordered Chocolate Clams (Cooked) You can choose raw or cooked -- I went with cooked and it was delicious. Very fresh, no fishy smell at all. One thing to note: every seafood dish comes topped with garlic. I'm not a fan of garlic and didn't know ahead of time, so I rinsed it off with hot water -- still amazing. Calamari Fresh, tender, and very well cooked. Seafood Special Combination Fish and squid were excellent. Lobster and shrimp were okay, nothing too special compared to the others. Price & Value The prices here are unbelievably cheap. * 6 chocolate clams = 285 pesos * Waldorf restaurant: 2 clams for $48 USD * Another place we tried: 2 clams for 340 pesos After eating around Cabo, this place clearly stood out for both quality and price. We couldn't even finish everything and packed leftovers back to the hotel. Total bill for all dishes: around $100 USD -- incredible. I should have written down what kind of chips they buy, because they were tasty. Very crunchy and really nice corn and toasty flavor. Frozen margarita had really good flavor too. For the mango one, it had mango puree for a base, which I think was much nicer than just flavored water. Garlic grilled shrimp plate was tasty. Shrimp enchilada was ok, but not really what I was expecting. Guess we've been eating Americanized enchiladas this whole time. This dish was a warmed tortilla topped with small shrimp, tomato, and bell peppers.

The evening we dined here it was raining, and while that is normally not significant, Roasted is partially open-air with the middle of the restaurant having no cover, so the rain was pouring in and effectively closed 60% of the place. When we arrived, the hostess and owner were apologetic and offered to rebook us, but we aren't quitters and a little rain does hurt us...but they also had a table near the entrance that was covered, so we decided to take it and enjoy our evening. Best decision ever! We started our evening off with a few cocktails paired with shrimp ceviche, queso fundido with chorizo, guacamole and an assortment of salsas. Once we ate through all this goodness, we tossed in our main courses of short rib, octopus, imperial shrimp and tampequena's. Finally we rounded out our meal with a few desserts consisting of cheesecake, chocolate flan and key lime pie! Everything was cooked to perfection, plated beautifully and absolutely delectable from first to last bite! The tampequena was my order and consisted of flank steak sided with a chile relleno and quesadilla...all of my favorite things as one meal? Sign me up! The desserts were delightful with all of us non-flan people being converted after trying the chocolate flan! Ownership put the desserts and a round of tequila shots on the house due to rain, which is more than they had to do. We were beyond thankful and appreciative. Service was phenomenal as well. Our server, the hostess, owner and food runners were all engaged, friendly and helpful. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous! The lit tree in the middle of the restaurant is a centerpiece and a perfect anchor to the decor and vibe. Overall, Roasted was one of the best dining experiences we have had in a long time, and definitely the best one we had while in Cabo. Do yourself a favor and come here! We definitely know we will be back!

From the street it looks like a little hole-in-the-wall, the kind of spot you might almost miss if you're busy chasing fancy marina restaurants. But step inside and suddenly you're in on the secret. Open air, flags hanging everywhere, signatures on the walls from travelers who clearly had a very good night, and the kind of energy that says dinner might get a little rowdy. Now let's talk shrimp. Big, juicy, swimming in garlic, lime, butter, and Baja attitude. The kind of seafood that makes you stop mid-bite and look at your table like, "Yep... we picked the right place." If you love seafood with a Mexican twist, this place doesn't mess around. And then there's the legendary Bulldog drink. It's tequila, beer, citrus, and just enough mischief to make the table louder after the first round. Order one and you'll understand why people start signing their names on the walls like they just joined a Cabo fraternity. Bottom line: this isn't just dinner. It's a little Cabo adventure wrapped in garlic shrimp and cold drinks. If you want quiet elegance, go somewhere else. But if you want flavor, personality, and a story to tell later... pull up a chair. Killer line: Some restaurants serve food Maro's serves memories with a side of shrimp.

I have been coming to Maro's Shrimp House since I found it, probably on Tripadvisor at the time,…read more way back in June 2016 and we make it a must on every trip to Cabo. Even when I was in Cabo on a cruise ship last Friday (11/28), had to hole up in my cabin on my laptop and work a half day (until 11am), missing out on my family's morning excursion all with a 1pm last tender call to get back to the ship... After my wife, mother-in-law, daughter & son's excursion with well reviewed Real Baja Tours (which I arranged separately instead of through the ship), all but my son were dropped off back at the ship as they wanted to skip out on the amazingness of Maro's. Yeah, I KNOW!! CRAZY!! The driver was nice enough to drop my son off at Maro's afterwards and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, just a few minutes before their 12pm opening time. Even though, we were a few minutes early, they gladly seated us right away. And very surprisingly, we were the only ones there for a good 20 minutes. From our very first visit in 2016, it is quite clear that the only things you need order is the shrimp and lobster which are fantastic...and THE BULLDOG (basically a giant schooner of margarita with an upended Coronita standing on its drowning head)...well, no Bulldogs for the boy. Service is very efficient and the friendly staff (despite not knowing too much English, except Maro himself, of course) is very attentive to any calls we had for refills of GARLIC WITH BUTTER (soooo much garlic, it was fantastic) & my dear, dear Bulldogs. Speaking of Bulldogs, they keep track of the most Bulldogs drunken in a sitting. I believe the current leader had 22...which is a superhuman feet because I was feeling quite FINE (read: tipsy) after my two. Also speaking of Bulldogs, on a visit in 2024, my kids, one friend of theirs and I witnessed a server giving 3 ladies a lapdance when they ordered one to share. Now that's service! Lol. Having told the staff we had to get outta there at 12:30pm, they delivered our wonderful meals very promptly and after first giving us totopos (tortilla chips) with two kinds of delicious salsa (well, a salsa and a pico de gallo). We each ordered the 1/4 kilo of lobster and 1/4 medium shrimp for $24.95 USD. (Note prices on the menu are conveniently in USD.) This was more than ample for one person but we prodded on and thoroughly enjoyed it, as always. With each plate, they serve the seafood with a very tasty rice pilaf and some pieces of squash or something I still can't figure out and after 2 Bulldogs, I completely forgot to ask about. They also give you a piping hot cup of that GARLIC WITH BUTTER served over a candle to keep hot which is brilliant. There is nothing worse than eating your giant platter of lobster and shrimp and the butter starts getting cold and becomes gluey and gloppy. That stuff is so good, we asked for another cup (and unlike American restaurants, it was free). On our visit in 2024, we actually got to meet Maro himself, took a picture with him, printed and framed it at home, brought it with us on the cruise and mounted it on the wall to the right of the L.A. Dodger flag, naturally. Since there wasn't any room left to write something with a provided marker, I added my DK to the bottom of the UCLA Bruin flag hidden near the back to the left. Oh, while you might think this place is a dingey dive by the look of the joint with its millions of marked up mostly collegiate flags lining the walls and rafters, the food makes it absolutely worth a visit...or two while you're in town. So save Edith's or Hacienda Y Cucina for the evenings (unless you want what I suspect would be a super fun & roudier crowd in the evenings). HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Wow, that's a David K 4x HIGHLY RECOMMEND so ya better go!
