Fresh oysters
Rhondi S.

Fresh Baja oysters, said they were Kumamoto's, but were kind of briny and big, still delicious. Fresh variety of ceviche and fresh fish tostada's. Overlooking view of the marina, nice restaurant with fresh fish! Menu has a variety of seafood specialties from octopus to a variety of fresh ceviche, service is a bit slow, but attentive.

Borrego left and Mexicali right.

The best fast casual food in Cabo. If you like ceviche, a great tuna sandwich, a straight on view of the ocean and terrific service, this is the place for you. We have been to the other spots in Merkado but this ranks #1. The Borrego ceviche and the Ahi sandwich are our go to's but the rest are just as good. Check them out for sure!

I've had ceviche in various parts of Mexico. This was my first time to Los Cabo's (San Jose and Cabo San Lucas). After paying $80 at my hotel for two burger and two drinks I knew it was time to explore outside of the resort. Oyster Bar is located on the 2nd floor inside El Merkado (upscale food court). Very nice atmosphere. My wife had the ceviche Mexicali and I had the ceviche especial. Both were AMAZING. What I loved was they have a habanero onion soy sauce to drizzle on your ceviche. I've never put soy sauce on ceviche so I was a little hesitant at first but it was really good. You can taste the Freshness in the ceviche, the vegetables, the lime and the fish. Not premade from the morning or the day before like some places. They prepare it right in front of you. Will be coming BACK!

First time eating raw fish, thought I'd never do it but they have some fire food!!! This might be my spot the whole trip! Sorry about the pic that's all that was left! It's that good

Amazing Oyster bar! I went to try the oysters! They were fresh and very well seasoned. I enjoy my experience and the costumers services is very good.

Royal clams

Started off with the royal clams on the advice of the staff and boy did they not disappoint. My wife and I couldn't stop raving about them. The fresh seafood, the sauce, the bread, and that sauce. If people weren't around I think we would have picked up the clam shells to make sure we got every bit of that sauce. Super friendly attentive staff too. Yet another must stop on our visit to Cabo. Located in the trendy EL Merkado shop. Tacos were good as well. Tried a variety of them.

Delicious! Service was exceptional and food was fresh and amazing. Been to Cabo many times and I loved this place in a trendy indoor market called "El Merkado". Plan to come back and eat many more dishes

Seabass ceviche was very fresh. Octopus was a but spicy but still delicious. Clams were a bit too salty for my liking. Located upstairs of el merkado.

Picturesque views of the water, great music being played. We were catered from start to finish. If you want an elegant dining experience, book your reservation here. We opted to sit inside at the window to get a good view and it was like sitting outside. The food was very good and the portion sizes were just enough. Loved the sorbet dessert...I think that's what it was . When we come back, definitely will diner here again. I'd recommend an early reservation so you can watch the sunset and get comfortable.

A quick call to El Ciruelo and we were able to secure a reservation for that night. We had planned on eating there during our stay as a fancy way of staying so this worked out perfectly. The location of the restaurant brought along beautiful views of the resort and the ocean. Service was attentive and detailed. The food was above average. Dinner took a few hours because each dish took some time to come out. We are also given a few complimentary dishes such as chips and with a pumpkin seed dip, ceviche, and sorbet. I tried the beet salad and ordered the seafood orzo pasta for my entree. The flavors of both were solid. I got the cadillac margarita to drink and it wasn't worth the extra cost for the better tequila. Maybe because tequila is not really my favorite. A couple of people in my group got the frozen moijito and that was delicious! The cocktail menu across the resort is the same so plenty of time for me to have the mojito! Overall a good experience, but pricey since it is fancy dining at the resort.

Wow! What a great experience we had at La Lupita Taco and Mezcal…read more This is a taco place. Don't expect any else on the menu except soup & salad and a couple of apps & sides. There is an indoor area or outside courtyard you can choose from. We had the pleasure of working with several Staff members including our main waiter, Marco as well as Ivan and Miriam. They were all so fun and attentive. They brought us a small serving of soup as an appetizer. My husband had a taste of the tortilla broth which had a little kick to it and I had the bean soup. Both were a nice sampling of the soup they offered. We ordered the chips & huac to start. The chips were thick and crispy. The guacamole tasted super fresh and bright. Now, the tacos are some of the best tacos we've ever eaten in MX or the US. The creativity and variety of toppings were outstanding. I really enjoyed the EL TAKESHI 190MX Rib Eye, Sesame, Hoisin, Ginger, Chives, Crispy Shallots, Flour tortilla. The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavor they developed was delicious. I also ordered the MEXICAN FLANK STEAK $150MX. Fresh Chiapas Cheese , Arugula, Crispy Leek & Potato, Macha Sauce, Yellow Corn tortillas. All these flavors worked so well together. One of the tastiest tacos they have on the menu is a cheese based tortilla taco called CHEESE CRUST PASTOR $100MX. Talk about a flavor bomb. Marinated Pork, Asadero Cheese Crust, Cilantro, Onion, Pineapple. My husband also ordered the CHIPOTLE SHRIMP $165MX. Shrimp, Chipotle Cream, fried parsley, flour tortilla. He loved it. For my Arizona friends, they will be opening a Scottsdale location in 2027. I can wait. Add this to your must try restaurants. Also, they just opened a location in Dallas Texas.

La Lupita in San José del Cabo absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the…read moreatmosphere was lively and inviting -- colorful décor, upbeat music, and that perfect blend of locals and visitors that tells you you're in the right place. It has that energetic taco-bar vibe people rave about, but still feels relaxed enough to really enjoy your meal. We started with the guacamole and it was excellent -- fresh, bright, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made to order. A great way to kick things off. For tacos, everything we tried was outstanding. The cheese shell al pastor was next level -- crispy, savory, and indulgent in the best way. The pastor had that smoky-sweet flavor people always mention in reviews, with just the right char. The miso fish taco was a surprise standout -- super flavorful, slightly sweet and umami-forward, and perfectly cooked. The milanesa taco had great crunch and seasoning, and the chipotle shrimp packed just the right amount of smoky heat without overpowering the shrimp. You can tell why so many reviews mention the creativity here -- these aren't just standard street tacos. The flavor combinations are bold and unique while still feeling authentically Baja. Service was fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. Drinks were great, the energy was fun without being overwhelming, and the whole experience felt memorable. If you're in San José del Cabo and want elevated tacos in a vibrant setting, La Lupita is a must.
