Oh em gee! The food was delicious! I got tacos and horchata! They have a little shop with a bakery and an ice cream shop. Gave me good vibes

The food is authentic and amazing, plus the prices are GREAT!! Highly recommend to anyone. Love the quesadillas, tacos and more.

Tortilleria El Progresso is located in the same shopping plaza as the Home Depot on East Colonial Drive and Semoran Boulevard. I was excited to try here because I am a firm believer that the best Mexican food comes from these humble little hole-in-the-wall type places. I ordered quite a bit of food from their menu, over eighty dollars before a tip and ordered it to-go. I tried calling a few times and the phone call was answered and then I kept getting disconnected. I don't know if it was a divine message from a deity to try elsewhere, but I have always been rather stubborn and my persistence finally paid off and I finally got through and placed my order. Be advised that the prices either have changed and they have not changed their online menu or I was overcharged, but I was charged more than I should have. I understand that with higher prices for food have forced restaurants to increase their costs, but maybe they should change the online menu. I did not say anything, but I did want to mention it so others are not surprised. Pricing was still good. I ordered twelve tacos (four each of the chorizo, carnitas and cabeza tacos), a chicken nuggets kid's meal, a side of rice and a side of beans, a burrito norteno, a chimichanga and a torta Cubana. Again, not a bad price for all this food, but again, they should update their online menu. I tried each of the tacos and the torta Cubana. Out of what I tried, the torta was the best thing. The torta also came with french fries, but they were nothing special l. The tacos were at best mediocre. Honestly, nothing special and nothing that I would want to return for. I wanted to like this place. I wanted it to be one of those places I could share like a secret to other foodies as a must-try place when seeking Mexican food in Orlando. Unfortunately, Tortilleria El Progresso just is not that place. I even tried justifying it in my head to give this place four stars, but unfortunately, three stars is the best score I could give it in good conscience.

I am definitely obsessed and will come back (if I have a friend who speaks Spanish). I was looking for some tools at Home Depot when I stumbled into this little store with a restaurant connected to it. And I do not regret my choice to enter. The store had a variety of Hispanic baked goods and a little café inside with dessert. The concha and other pastries I got were very cheap and also tasted delicious. They had a variety of snacks and ingredients that my friend purchased that were priced decently. We also got to look at the café which had a variety of desserts. (I did not purchase any) The only reason I would come back again with a friend is because I am not fluent in Spanish and when we decided to grab dinner there our waiter was more fluent in Spanish. I would love to learn fluently but for now I can only read Spanish fluently. The menu had a variety of items and I decided to go for the Tripleta plate which had shrimp, chicken, and beef. The portion they gave me was larger than I thought it was going to be for the price. I was not able to finish my plate but loved everything on it. I liked that the refried beans were in a little taco shell shaped bowl. Everything on the plate was very flavorful and seasoned well. The free salsa and chips that they served was perfect right before the meal.

Love this place Every weekend they offer mariachis Great food Great value And the atmosphere is authentic Mexico all the way!

The food, service, decor and ambiance. Is worth a return visit! Yes... that's a 5pc Mariachi Band!!

This place was suggested by someone on IG and I must admit it's highly likely that I'll return! From the warm and friendly staff, the very Mexican decor, handmade tortillas and the super tasty food I will absolutely be back. I ordered 3 tacos platter with one Al Pastor Taco one Cesina taco and Barbacoa Taco with rice and beans on the side. All three were terribly tasty but the al pastor was my absolute favorite!! I also ordered a menudo but it never came out and I'm thankful because I was stuffed after eating three tacos!! My favorite part though was the Mariachi band! That lady can sing!!! I made me want to go home and start practicing my Spanish, I can listen to her sing all day! Thanks to Tortilleria El Progreso for such a wonderful and much needed experience.

For starters, what does this place NOT have??? Authenticity, check. Incredible prices, check. Made fresh to order, check. A market, a bakery, a restaurant AND a dessert place including hard pack ice cream, check! Lastly the utmost kindness, energy and comfort, unmatched! This hole in the wall is not a place trying too hard to impress you. The sights, sounds and scents alone will transform this humble restaurant to encapsulate all of your senses. The staff here are so efficient, kind and although a language barrier, kindness and hospitality have none. We walked in and were seated quickly and there was even a live mariachi serenading you as you indulged in savory goodness. The food itself was beyond authentic, not overly seasoned to make up for lack of quality and not a fusion kind of food which included all those "extras" to make up for the poor design (we all know what I'm talking about). The tacos were incredible, granted I did not personally enjoy the chicharron one because it was too soggy and fatty BUT all the other tacos were amazing. Wait until you see the interior though, this was the most incredibly immersive experience I have ever had in Orlando and it made the food and the energy all the better. I knew it was going to be an incredible experience when they brought out FRESH made tortilla chips (quite bold in sending the message "it's only the beginning"). It may not be your popular well known establishment and may be missing some elements you are used to, but like all foodie ventures, the uniqueness is what keeps bringing us back to the table for more. If you're looking for an incredible authentic experience with incredible food for a cheap price, I urge you to stop by and try this place once. You'll leave wanting more.

I discovered this place when I was door dashing. Loved the atmosphere. It smelled and the plates coming out looked delicious. So I told a few of my friends that we had to come one day and try it. I went with a friend and all excited sat and ordered our food. The place is beautiful with bright colors and staff very friendly. Their menu was huge that we couldn't decide. Now, I gave it a 3 star cause I loved the decor inside, the staff, how clean and most importantly they have a market right next door with a meat dept, even ice cream and bakery shop. The food was not as good as I would have liked it to be but loved el mercado al lado.

Really tasty appetizers, entrees, and drinks! The birria quesadilla was packed with flavor and beef, with a good side of beans. Service was very welcoming I would recommend this place for authentic food and experience, great for a fun dinner!

Cute and wholesome "hole in the wall" Mexican restaurant connected to a Mexican supermarket. I came here once before, but decided not to dine. I'm glad I came back to give them another try. I got the guacamole for the table. It was fresh and delicious! The guac what lightly seasoned (I added a pinch of salt because I'm picky like that), but the flavor was there! I got three chicken tacos and my guest got one beef and one chicken. We got the onions and cilantro on the side. The tacos were amazingly flavorful! The double tortilla the tacos to hold the juicy meats without falling apart. The filling was spiced perfectly. The cilantro and onions added a nice flavor. The tortillas were very tasty. They taste freshly made! The service was very nice too! The waitress was very polite! The food is good quality for a generous price! High quality authentic Mexican dishes for a very modest price! I will be back!

If that was the case each time, I'd bring the toppings myself since they hold up a line or question management how to make it, read their paper, etc. When we went to the Publix by Lake Eola, the worker who prepared my sub was much quicker and efficient. Vegan cheese, the meatless deli slices, etc. and it came out fantastic. We also arrived near closing and they gave us excellent service. I say so because it reflects the reality of this store...a TRUE exception to the brand. The store is somewhat well organized with wide, clean aisles and well marked departments. I didn't bother too much with bakery or deli, but they seemed adequate enough, albeit with minimal variety. There are two sets of shorter aisles in lieu of one set of very long aisles. A third longitudinal aisle bisects the place all the way across making for shorter trips on more aisles rather than nearly as many in the longer aisles one generally finds in grocery stores around here. There's a more pronounced selection of ethnic and international stuff than what I normally see at W-D. There's even a good sized kosher section full of overpriced (but theologically correct) groceries. It is apparent that the store caters to the vast multitudes staying in all the resort properties around here whilst blowing their budgets of bucks, Euros, Pesos, Rials, Rupees, Rubles, Yen, Yuans or Pounds Sterling on ridiculously rich rodents or wondrously wealthy whales. That said, I did enjoy my trek thru here and thumbing my nose at the granddaddy grocer in the green getup from the sunshine state. Cashiers seemed friendly too, as is not always the case with W-D. The store, as alluded to earlier, is very clean, quite big and totally un-Winn-Dixie-like. The parking lot is spacious and easy to navigate, which already sets the tone for a smooth, stress-free visit. Once inside, you quickly realize just how expansive this market truly is--you could easily spend an hour (or more) exploring every aisle without even noticing the time go by. What makes this market stand out is its depth and authenticity. As an Asian supermarket, it offers an extraordinary range of products that go far beyond what you'll find in standard grocery stores. The produce section alone is worth the visit--fresh, vibrant fruits and vegetables, many of which are unique or hard to find elsewhere, are beautifully displayed and constantly restocked. As you move through the aisles, you'll discover an impressive selection of: Specialty herbs, spices, and seasonings Authentic sauces and condiments from across Asia An entire world of noodles, rice varieties, and pantry staples A wide assortment of snacks, beverages, and imported goods If you're cooking Asian cuisine, you will find absolutely everything you need here--no exceptions. It's the kind of place where both home cooks and seasoned food lovers can get inspired just by walking through the aisles. Beyond groceries, Lotte Plaza Market feels more like an international marketplace. You'll find plants, beauty products, and specialty items, adding to the overall experience and making it more than just a place to shop--it's a place to explore. A helpful tip: since many items are imported, be mindful to check expiration dates on packaged goods, and keep an eye out for promotions. Some products can be on the pricier side, but there are definitely great deals if you take a moment to browse. One of the highlights--and honestly one of the main reasons I return--is the indoor food court-style dining area. There are several small eateries where you can order directly at the counter. While the setup is casual and straightforward, the food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and satisfying--perfect for a quick and delicious stop during your visit. To elevate the experience even further, the market also features a French bakery, along with beauty boutiques and a hair salon, giving it the feel of a small international plaza rather than a traditional grocery store. Overall, Lotte Plaza Market delivers on every level--selection, authenticity, and experience. Whether you're shopping for specific ingredients, discovering new products, or simply stopping in for a quick bite, it's absolutely worth the visit. Even if you're not familiar with Asian cuisine, this is the kind of place you go to explore, learn, and enjoy something different. If you haven't been yet, I highly recommend making the trip--you'll understand why the moment you walk in.

Date of visit: November 28, 2025…read more I'd heard of Sprouts before but never had an opportunity to visit one until this trip down to Florida for a cruise. We needed a couple small items and walked over after breakfast. It definitely has a Trader Joe's vibe, so if that's not your scene you likely won't care for Sprouts, either. Think healthy and natural with fun twist. I found the items I was looking for and while they weren't exactly cheap, they both seemed to be of above average quality and I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for. All of the employees we encountered were friendly and helpful (when's the last time you can say that you experienced that!?), and I wouldn't hesitate to visit another location on my travels if I had the opportunity to do so.

Sprouts Farmers Market (the one I go to in [Your City]) - 5 stars, no notes…read more I'm obsessed. Walking into Sprouts feels like someone gave Whole Foods a personality transplant and slashed the prices while they were at it. The produce section is legitimately gorgeous -- heaps of organic kale that actually looks alive, avocados that are ripe EXACTLY when they say they will be (witchcraft?), and those little cartons of specialty mushrooms I pretend to know how to cook. Everything smells like it was picked this morning, because half of it probably was. The bulk bins are dangerous for me. I go in for almonds and leave with mocha-dusted chocolate almonds, chili-lime pistachios, and some random grain I saw on TikTok that I'll never figure out how to pronounce. Their bulk spices are also clutch -- I refilled smoked paprika for like $0.87 the other day and felt like I hacked the system. The deli/sandwich counter is low-key one of the best lunch deals in town. $8.99 for a massive made-to-order sandwich on fresh-baked bread with all the fancy toppings? Yes please. The "Sprouts Classic" with turkey, cranberry, and stuffing vibes year-round is stupidly good. Meat and seafood counter people are always chill and actually know what they're talking about. Got sold on some cedar-plank salmon that changed my weeknight dinner game. And if you're plant-based, the selection of fake meats and cheeses that don't taste like regret is honestly impressive. Only tiny gripe: the parking lot is a blood sport on weekends and they play the same 7 acoustic covers on loop, but I'll fight for a spot and hum along to "Wonderwall" on ukulele if it means I get to shop here. Sprouts, never change (except maybe add one more register on Saturdays). See you tomorrow... again.
