I love our Torrid in the Eastwood Mall. They have the nicest staff and I really enjoy shopping with them. First off these ladies are not pushy but they are extremely helpful. I love that they ask if you want help and if you don't they back off but on this last occasion I was stressed. My sister had suddenly passed and I need clothes for not only a funeral but several days travel. These ladies were so helpful! While we couldn't master clothes for the funeral itself they did help me find several outfits to take with me that made me feel comfortable and beautiful when I truly was the most down I had ever been. Absolutely terrible. The employees are very entitled. My friend and I went in and from the start we got bad looks. We were looking around for a bit and the employee asked me if I was in the wrong store. I asked what they meant and they said that it wasn't a "skinny" store. I was slightly offended but brushed it off. They kept giving me and my friend looks the whole time, and when I would pick up an item to show to my friend I would see them whisper and snicker while still staring at me. I couldn't believe that it was actually happening. I got tired of it and we left, but on our way out the employee yelled "is there a problem or something?". Yes there was a problem. If I could give them no stars I would. Do not go to this Torrid. Last night I went to return an online order. As soon as I put my items on the counter she stated, I cannot take that back. It was a pair of legging that I opened. I had the original receipt and packaging. I asked why. She stated that I don't know if you tried them on without underwear! What! I told her of course I did! She would not believe me. I told her I would never have ordered these online, if I knew the salesperson had to monitor me trying them on to inspect that I had my underwear on! This is ridiculous!!! So make sure when you by legging online to no open the packaging, if you are unsure of sizing! Bring them immediately to this Torrid ask if you can try them on in the store with the creepy salesperson watching you to make sure you are trying them on with underwear! Otherwise do not by online!!! Torrid of Niles, Ohio, how stupid does this sound!!!! Update, I did take them back, but I had to drive 1 hr to the Torrid that I normally shop at in Strongsville, Ohio. I am disgusted with this place! They make it impossible for you to return anything after using haute cash. I wanted to return the swim suite I purchased the other day for a different one. Both suites are priced exactly the same. You think they would do an even exchange? We'll think again!! They will only do an even exchange for the same suite in a different size. Since it's not the same suite, I loose out on my coupons used. They wanted me to spend an additional $50.00 on top of what I've already spent for the same priced item. Who would do that right? This place is a rip off! Save yourself the trip! read more
