Then I looked at the dates. They were all from back in 2013. Either these people grossly exaggerated or Treasured Moments Bridal Boutique did a drastic turn around. The place was very clean and they had plenty of dresses to choose from. Joan was our bridal consultant. She was very patient and knowledgeable. My daughter had absolutely no idea what type of dress she wanted. JOAN asked us what are budget was and to look through the racks and pull a few dresses that we liked. After we started to try on gowns, she started pulling other ones that she thought she would like. Believe me we tried on a lot of gowns. There was absolutely no pressure. We left and went to lunch and then returned to again try on more dresses. Still no pressure and very patient. The following day I called JOAN and told her that my daughter was not sure and that she wanted to try on one other dress that she saw online. Treasure moment not have the dress but Joan thought that she should try on the gown somewhere else before she made up her mind. She gave us the name of the gown that my daughter liked and said if there was anything else she could do to please call. Long story short we ordered the gown that she found at TM. This week I called to see if they had a swatch that could be ordered of my daughters dress color because it was an ivory. I spoke with Mary. She called the company and a swatch could not be ordered but she ended up matching a swatch from the store to my daughters gown. And called me to let me know what she had done. When I picked up this watch JOAN and Mary were both there. I told them I wanted the swatch to match the flower girls dress. JOAN suggested I bring the flower girl in and to try on some of the dresses they had there because they were on sale due to the fact that they were discontinued. I gave Treasured Moments Bridal And prom only four stars because I don't know about the alterations. I will complete this review once her gown comes in and she is fitted and alter. However - some of the other women who work there made my experience negative more than anything. I gained no weight in between when my measurements were taken and when I received the dress, and it was too tight. When I went to get it altered, the woman who did it (not Toula) didn't even notice that I could barely move in it. The bride had to call and complain, and so I called back and Toula and she was very considerate of the situation and had me come in between some of her other appointments to refit me. When I picked it up it fit much better, and Toula was great - but then when I paid the fee for the altering, which was a great price, a woman who was standing in the front of the shop almost made me feel guilty. She told me that I "was very, very lucky paying that price because it was great for how much work Toula did" and especially because I was basically going to be wearing a "custom dress". It made me feel awful, and I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I think they should learn how to be a bit more professional toward their customers.

This is my second time shopping at Toula's for a Hollywood red-carpet quality prom gown for my daughter. In 2012, we called ahead and asked if they had a specific gown and they had the exact one in the exact color and size. This year again, we drove nearly 5 hours roundtrip from way west of Cleveland just to shop here, because last year's experience was so great: 2013 was no exception. Toula and her staff did NOT disappoint! They are awesome! The selection was plenty and the customer service was excellent, despite it being packed with other moms/daughters hunting and parading through the place in prom gowns on a very busy Saturday. After discovering the perfect gown, we found that it wasn't the perfect fit (much like last year - my daughter's a 2 in the hips, but more like a 0 on top) and it had an unfinished bottom hem on the train for some reason - Toula immediately assessed what needed to be tailored, pinned it up and promised it for the following weekend. NO CHARGE - those alterations were part of the deal: WHERE does THAT ever happen? We made our fairly substantial purchase with an incredible pair of perfectly matching shoes and went on our merry way, happy as clams. The following week I didn't want to spend another 5 hours driving out, so I called them and asked if it was possible to just go ahead and ship it (someone mentioned that when we were there) - and they were so accommodating - they SHIPPED the dress to me! It arrived in perfect order. Here are my ratings: Selection = 10, Customer Service = 10, Prices = 10 We LOVE Toula's!

Granted, my experience prior to Encore was thrift shops and antique clothing stores with a small selection of dresses, so if you're coming from David's Bridal it might seem more limited. However, it is SO worth stopping by Encore if you're dress shopping, because their prices are amazing for dresses in new condition. I ended up falling in love with the first dress I tried on, but it was much too long and strapless and I was afraid the alterations to shorten it and add sleeves would push us beyond our budget, so I wasn't sure what to think. However, the sweet saleswoman who was assisting us let us know that the seamstress Encore recommends just happened to be in the store for another Bridal fitting, and so she came and checked out the dress on me as soon as she was done with her appointment. She immediately pulled out some cap sleeves to give me an idea of what it would look like, and pinned my dress up the way it would look if it was the right length, as well as all bustled up. (It has a big train!) She was so personable and knowledgeable, my mother and I instantly trusted her...yet we were still holding our breath about the price, since some of the alterations were a little tricky with the complexity of the dress. She gave us her quote and I just about fell over...because of how incredibly reasonable it was! My mother and I instantly said yes to her doing the alterations, and we bought the dress! We also shopped around for a mother of a bride dress and a shower dress for me, and all the prices were great. What I especially appreciate about Encore is how organized everything is, as well as the quality of the items. They only take the good stuff! My son barely made it there, had set up for prom, would've been at a track meet or work if he wasn't obligated... Felt bad for the guy stuck amongst the prom kids who was in a wedding the next day, prob missing rehearsal dinner.... Got there... Line out the door. Once inside, wrap around line, at least 30 people ahead of us, needing to try on. Guess what, shoes and pants weren't fitting... They have to get it sent in.... Not in the morning when they open, but when the trucks come in. Finally got a text that it was ready... When? - about 15 min before they were headed to take pictures. So.... Stuck with what we had... What a poorly run business. I hope you go bankrupt and never get another customer ever. Everyone should know about how lousy you run your business. If it weren't for tie color, we would've stuck with Mens Wearhouse, where they have the tux ready several days in advance with time for alterations.
